Skeleton plan for Let's Write to This Modest Proposal

Genre: Drama

Prompt: 'Trust is like a mirror, it's delicate, and once you break it, you can put the pieces back together but it'll never be the same.'

Title: Forget-me-not.

General idea: since it's drama, I was thinking on the lines of the word Trust and what it means. And since the challenge theme is Space, maybe this shy/timid girl tries to 'fit in' into a new school life. I know it's kind of cliche, but the students reject her and she has no friends. However there is one group, which is like the 'outcasts' of the school. The have a perfect circle of 'friendship', but one of them ODs due to drugs; so there's a space open in the 'group' and the only way the girl can be accepted into the school's social system (Kind of like 'filling the space' in that group?) The only way that he'd allow her into the group is through initiation rights; making her doing crazy things then she's starting to question herself and the authentication of these tasks, whether it's worth it or not. But the boy dimisses these thoughts and says the only way to handle these tasks is to trust him.

Characters: Kris or Dongwoo. But Kris is more popular and I think he suits the role better. For the girl role; I rather make it a OC instead of a girl idol; but you can change your mind. Make the age so that Kris and the OC is the same age.

Background information: The female character had trust issues in her past, eg. Boyfriend, family... whatever you can think of. She has quite high expectations of herself.

Length: Uh, you said 5-10? So around 7 or 8, I guess.

Point Of View: Second (from the OC's)

--

Chapter One: The first chapter is in the OC's point of view as she enters the school. The school itself looks plesant, I'll leave it up to you to describe the school and the uniform etc. Then she goes to the reception and gets her schedule (you know the rest) going to her locker and she finds her locker mate smearing on lipstick in the mirror next to her. Trying to make friends, obviously she rejects the OC's effort to make friends with her. Thinking that it's just her, she heads to her homeroom and it seems the class split into different cliques (you can choose ot describe them or not.) OC doesn't know what to do because she's new, she's shy and also quiet intimitated by the class since they are talking loudly and minding their own business. The bell rings and the teacher comes in time; the class scrambles back to their desks and greet the teacher. Teacher introduces her to the class and makes her sit in alphabetical order, next to her locker mate. OC starts to feel doubtful about this school. Classes go by (you can choose what classes she has), then lunch comes. She heads to the cafeteria to buy lunch, once she gets her tray of food. She can't find a sit because the cafeteria is full, so she sits in the corner of the lunch room eating. End of her thoughts at the end of lunch.

Chapter Two: The end of the school day approaches and the OC is at the locker packing her books. She's envious of the people around her that are hugging and have friends while she has none. Exiting the school, she runs into Kris and she's imtimidated by his look. He askes her to move and she does. Later she arrives home and nobody's there. Her parents are rich and love to gamble and her younger brother is almost never at home. She goes out to buy her dinner, as she comes back. She passes an alley and see's Kris smoking there, in his uniform, with a bunch of friends. She stops and stares, Kris turns around and she scurries away. She comes home, cooks dinner then eats in her room while doing homework. She wonders why he still attends still when he obviously looks like he's given up on education.

Chapter Three: OC leaves home to go to school early because her younger brother is having a fight with her parents. On the way to school, she sees Kris and his friends loitering at the school gates. She realizes that it's too early for the gates to open and she waits outside the gate. Kris and his friends look at her and she looks at them too, one of them approaches her (a girl) and askes whether she wants to buy something from them. OC is confused and then the other girl explains. Still confused about what they want, Kris tells them to ignore her and mind their own business. OC is still confused but then realizes that she missed an opurrtunity to make friends. Thinking that they are a bad influence she's grateful of her descicion and the school gates open.

Chapter Four: After making many attempts to make friends, OC has become desperate to make friends. As school is ending, she sees Kris and his group and comtemplates to make friends with them. Thinking it's a bad idea but she's desperate, she approaches them asking to be her friends. Thinking that it's a joke, they start laughing and being the sarcastic, the group allows her. Thinking the group has allowed them to join, OC is relived and goes home with the weight lifted off her shoulders. Going out to buy dinner again, she bumps into one of the guys and he askes her as a 'friend' to buy a can of beer for him. She agrees and goes buy one for him, thanking her for the can of beer. She goes home with a smile.

Chapter Five: The next day, OC sees them eating lunch together in a secluded area of the school and she joins. The group is been awkward since they didn't actually mean that she can join their group. They make her do all their chores (eg, carry their books, food, get their homework done etc.) to become their friend. OC becomes really tired after doing all these tasks, but she continues on to do it (Internal struggle for OC). Kris becomes doubtful about whether the OC can handle these tasks and tells her that she's only a replacement for a friend that died because he overdosed from drugs but OC tells him ot trust her and that she will finish all these tasks.

Chapter Six: The group decide to 'up' the tasks and tell her to deliver a packet of drugs to this guy in a club. She reluctantly agrees and they hand her the packet of drugs. When it's night, she heads to the nightclub and hands the drugs to the dealer. However the dealer wants her to stay for drinks and she agress, however her alcohol tolerence is really low and she goes home drunk. The next day, she heads to school wearing sunglasses with a hangover. The group approaches her and askes if she has dealed with the guy and she replies yes. Throughout the day, OC is losing concerntration and starts to fall asleep. Kris saves her from a ladder falling on her due to her sleepiness and asks if she's okay. But she replies with a yes and that she's doing this to be their friend.

Chapter Seven: After several more deals (eg, handling drugs and alcohol) the group has accepted her and are proud of her. However on one deal, she heads to a club but she gets in the club. The next day, she shows up to school but she isolates her self from everyone. She won't allow any males to touch her or go near her because she's scared. The group doesn't know what happened to her or what happened on the drug deal. She begins drown herself in alcohol and partying, now longer the girl she was when she came to school. Kris shows up at the club and sees the OC dancing and drinking and he decides bring her back to his apartment and coax her into telling what happened during the deal. OC tells him that she had been and that she had been stripped of her innocence since she became her friends. Kris then tells her the story of the person who O'D was his girlfriend and that he was doubtful of her joining the group because she might turn out to be her. Eventually she falls asleep in his apartment.

Chapter Eight: Now that both Kris and OC have mutual understanding of each other, they are closer with each other. Kris develops strong feelings for the OC, however he sees the OC changing into a party - alcohol girl. Kris doesn't like the change and tells the OC to leave the group and never come back (for her own good, but he doesn't tell her that) she just scoffs and walks away. Kris realizes that he would never make contact with her again and that his 'love' for her would never be returned. OC becomes wild and untamed, doing things her way and getting what she wants. OC meets Kris at a club again and tries to seduce him into having with her but he stops her, leaving her and having a one night stand.

Chapter Nine: OC is a entirely different person since she entered school. She starts to skip school for a few days then weeks and Kris starts to worry. One day she comes back home and sees OC packing things from her locker and Kris askes why she disappeared and she said that everything has changed and that longing space of friendship in her heart has disappeared. Kris confesses his love for her but she just rejects him and walks away.

Chapter Ten: (Kris's POV) Two months later, Kris sees the OC working in a shabby restaurant. He talks to her and finds out that she had been kicked out of her house because she had used up her parents savings for alcohol and now she's living by herself, struggling to pay rent. Kris talks her out to drink and they both get drunk, they both engage in heavy skinship but they wake up the next morning not knowing what happened. Kris tells her to stay with him forever but OC doesn't agree and says her feelings haven't changed for him since they last saw each other. Story ends with Kris dropping OC off at her apartment and says, "I'll see you soon." and OC answers with, "No, you won't."

Sorry for making it seem so long. Good luck (?) If the plot seems confusing just ask me. I don't know if this should be rated, since drugs and all.
