Blockbuster; appreciation post.
I couldn't keep quiet about the issue, so I wouldn't.
I am a BBC for about 2 months now. Yes, I know it's next to nothing, but seeing how REAL they are, how they make other KPOP groups pale in comparison with their shared bond and uniqueness, it's enough to win people's hearts - it was enough to win mine.
To think that the said issue was silently going on for about a year now, I can't quite grasp how they put up with all that (excuse my language) . Block B seemed underrated, and groups like them should be given more attention.
I admire them and their music, most people may have been hearing things about them being the next BIGBANG, and I'd be a hypocrite if I'd say I never thought of them that way. But now, for me and for all the BBC's out there, Block B is more than an imitation or a mirror of the former group.
They deviated from the flowerboy-bands Korea and the world had been exposed to since forever, and they left their unusual twists in the industry.
As many had pointed out already, and since it wouldn't hurt for me to add it here too, they make their own music. They start from scratch until they acquire all the right mixes to produce good quality music. Knowing that fact only strengthened the appreciation I have of them. Instead of being disappointed at the issues they were faced, I only loved them more. Weird huh? No. I admire them simply because it implies their being true and honest beings. It proves that they are real people; subject to commit mistakes - to be rather careless. The most important thing is that they are sorry for their careless actions.
I don't want them to disband; but if they would, the least I could do was hope and pray that they'd be embrace by other music companies and that they trudge toward a better future - together, or not.
But seriously, I'd bet on the former.
