I just had the best Thursday morning of my life.

As per usual I slept late—or early considering it was already 5AM when I decided to hit the sack. Time flew by so fast; I guess tumblr does that to people. I got lost in utopia, heh. Anyway, before I knew it, the first stirrings of the morning were already making itself known.

I turned my head and watched in awe as the pitch black sky turned to gray. The first hesitant sounds of birds brought music to my ears.

And it was perfect.

I wanted to stay up until the sun cracks through the stillness of the sky, but alas, I couldn’t. Not because I felt sleepy but because I couldn’t risk having my mom check up on me and realize I hadn’t slept yet. She’d surely kill me with a never ending sermon.

Nonetheless, the curt bliss warmed me—calmed me. I had never seen this side of life since I am not a morning person. It was serene—that’s just what I needed most in the moment.
