Hewwo all. This is thestrangelittlegirl here and this is just my perosnal thoughts on the feature system. 

First of all, I think that it is amazing, because it allows users (esp lazy ones like moi) to view and see good fanfiction, of different genres.

But one flaw that has been bugging me for a while is that is runs on the number of views/subscribers and now upvotes that it gets. It is fair, considering it would be susbscribed to and upvoted only if its good.

But I realised what happened is that it will only roll on already popular authors. Now let me explain what I mean. 

An author that had been features before or lets say has been very popular on AFF will get a lot of views and subscribers, naturally.

So then what happens is that their other stories will continue to get subscribed to and possibly featured, making them more popular. Therefore 'rolling' their popularity. 

That's where the problem lies. I totally love all these authors because their fics are amazing and most of them are really nice and friendly, but I believe that others need to be given a chance. 

I have read a gazzilion and one great fics from not so popular authors, and I find that sometimes they deserve the feature too, the only pity being them not being 'famous' or 'popular' enough on AFF.

Now, don't say that I'm being jealous or hating or anything. I have been on AFF for a while now (I have another older account) and I absolutely love it here, and am planning to stick around for a long time.
