Theres more korean music than KPOP - the first of many

I'm just really upset that people think Korean music is only KPOP. Being a huge fan of Korean Hip-Hop, R&B, Rock & indie, i thought it'll be kinda cool to spread the love. Some of the songs here, I dare say, is better than most KPOP songs, in my opinion. I'll be doing these randomly, with any number of artist here! Any suggestions, PM me! :)

Lately, I've been falling in love with "?" by Primary ft. Zion-T(huge fan><) & CHOIZA of Dynamic Duo(THIS!). It more of a R&B feel, but the live is amazing, though I can't find it on the internet. I saw it while on my trip in Korea on the TV at the hotel. If you find it, mind telling me? :)

This MV is really cool! It's inspired me to make something... not tellling what but when im done with it, maybe i'll post it on another blog!

Primary is the the man hiding behind the carboard box(HOW DOES HE SEE? LOL) and is from the duo Primary Score. He's work with a bunch of artists, including my all time favourite... LeeSsang, but this is so far my favourite. It's available on iTunes, and the album's on some blogshops.

this being the first post, I'd have to include my favourite K-Indie band! this is... THE KOXX! :) A 5-member K-Indie band that started in 2009 :)

Lee Hyoun Song, the vocals and plays the guitar. My friend thought he wasnt the vocalist cause his voice... it's nothing like his face! I truthfully expected a really rough and loud rock voice but WOW! His voice is... i can't describe! Listen to it yourself!

next you have my realllyyyy smexy omg HAWWWWTT Shaun! Shaun's the "synthesizer" or some people called "pianist" in the song i put up there, "Love Dance"! His skills are not to be doubted!

You then have Park Sun Bin, in charge of the Bass. HE.IS.AMAZING. not lying. and second bias XD haha~

Lee Soryun is the guy whose also a guitarist, and a songwriter! Though the english in some of the songs are not to be comented on, the korean songs have some really deep meaning!

last but not least, the drummer Shin Saron! he's not my bias or anything... nah. I'm just one jello person. OMG HE IS SMEXY. period.

I'm a proud owner of 2 of their albums, "ACCESS OK" and "ENTER", even though the song that my into their fanbase with no exit was in their latest album "BON VOYAGE"... but "Oriental Girl" is also a magnificento song!

Okay, so well... I CAN'T FORGET TO ADD LEESSANG! Gary's collab with the KOXX & Miryeo is what brought me to love the KOXX!

well, most of the Running Man fans would know that Gary is part of the duo "LeeSsang" with Gil(THAT VOICE<3) but for me, what got me into Running man was Gary (usually its the other way round, haha) with the song "Turned Off the TV" with Tasha and Kwon Ryul of 10cm! They've also got me all crazy about 10cm and Dynamic Duo... in a sense, it brought me to the beutiful world outside KPOP!

I begged my friend whose sister was headed to Korea for a school trip for LeeSsang's album "Unplugged". The songs are amazing, so check ALL of them out! My favourite by LeeSsang is still Turned Off the TV though... :/

This is such a cool post! I've only recently gotten into kpop and I keep trying to remember to listen to some k-indie but for some reason, whenever I think of k-indie I think of more soft "coffee shop" type songs (which I'm not into) so I always push it aside. I like those Knoxx songs you linked. They've made me realize that k-indie can mean indie-rock (which is what I do like.) Those Knoxx MVs, for example, totally remind me of bands like Two Door Cinema Club and Phoenix, bands I do enjoy. My first love is rock so this mixture of rock with my new love for kpop is awesome.

It'll also be cool to get into k-indie and see how their idols and production works because as much as I love kpop right now, I'm really overwhelmed and not used to so much emphasis on looks and being really handsome or beautiful. American rock bands (indie and otherwise) shape looks as well but not to the same degree or in the same way. I'm not sure how to explain it but it'll be nice to see music be treated as music and not crowded by visuals.

But of course. Remember that kdrama, "Marry Me Mary"? And I don't know if it is just me but I don't classify cn blue's music as kpop...some of them though. I'll listen to these a little later. I like all kinds of music except metallica and hard rock xD

Haha. I don't really like K-Indie. Other than that, K-hip hop, K-R&B, and Kpop is really good :D

I know gary is amazing of course but yes I only listened to his songs after knowing him in RM. I am thankful they made him regular or I will never know how awesome he is. anyway, I am more into ballads and I just know a few korean balladers.
