personality: Changhyun is quite shy around strangers, and hardly speaks at all. Even if he is close to someone, he doesn't get all hyped up or funny. He continues to remain silent, and only speaks when he told or asked to speak. He isn't sure what "family" is exactly supposed to mean to him due to a terrible event he had in the past. Changhyun finds it extremely difficult to talk to girls since he knows that they are sensetive (due to his cry-baby sister) and doesn't want anything to due with their heartbroken feelings. He finds it easier to hang around guys since he knows that they are tough, but still perfers to be quiet around them. He'll only be kind to those who treat him nicely, but if someone tries to pick on a fight, he doesn't hesitate to raise his fist. He might be shy and quiet on the outside, but in the inside, there's a small spark of fire thats' ready to explode if anyone is ready to fuel it up.

This guy definitely doesn't get happy too often, but when he does, he denies it. He hates to admit if he's enjoying an event since he thinks that it shows a weak side of him, even though it doesn't. He won't stand up for others, too, even though they are his closest friends. He remains even quieter, thinking that if he gets into a mess, then he'll be tangled in the drama, too. When he's inlove, he acts irrationally and tends to be extremely clumsy, embarrassing himself and making him escape from the scene. background: Changhyun was born as a mistake. His parents were teens and they were drunk from celebrating the end of their final exams in high school. The next morning, Changhyun ended up being in his mother's stomach, and due to this, both parents were disowned by their family for bringing shame. Nevertheless, his parents raised Changhyun with care and caution and were very strict with him, afraid that he would make the same mistake as they did. They refused to let him go out with any girls or even meet them, so he went to an all-boy's schoo. Therefore he is extremely akward with girls and doesn't understand how to approach them. When he was five, his parents were pregnant with his younger and moody sister, Park Yelim. Yelim and his mother were the only girls he was close to, and both had very sensative feelings. Thus he became very gentle and quiet around woman, not wanting them to get upset or cry.

During elementary school, Changhyun was looked down upon because of his parents. However, he redeemed himself when he learned how to play the bass and joined a band full of middle schoolers. Soon enough, people saw him as a musician, like his father (his father played the piano and guitar). When he was in middle school, he joined another band with his peers and became sub-vocals. He was suddenly offered to join YG Ent. by an agent. He was given a card and had thought about this. His parents were against this decision, wanting him to study more. To prevent him from being more interested in music, his father forced him to quit the band and threw away his bass and made it a family rule to never play an instrument again.

High school was the turning point of his life. Changhyun, who was ranking at least somewhere on the top 20's, was offered by his best friend to join a band he was going to create. Changhyun, bored of studying and stressed from all the tests and homework that was piling up on him, secretly agreed and practiced when his father did not look at his way. One day, the two friends saw an audition poster for YG Ent. and Changhyun felt that it was destined for him to audition. He spent weeks and days convincing his father to allow him to audition. A week before the auditions were up, his father hesitatedly agreed and made him leave on a train to Seoul, where his dream awaited for him.

trainee background: Changhyun was first scouted, but his father refused to let him go. Later in high school, he auditioned with his friends Hyungchul and hyungsoo, who all successfully made their debut. Changhyun struggled a lot during his time being a trainee. His voice wasn't the best, but it was enough for him to be sub-vocals. He stumbled over his dance steps, and he couldn't keep up a steady rhythm with the rap. After a year of training all three parts, he was finally told to focus on rapping. He got better quickly, and moved onto dancing. He took a job at a fast food restaurant, where he met Miyoung and became quick friends with her. During his trainee laugh, he became a little bit closer with girls and practiced hard on rapping and dancing.
