WeAreKings [우리는 왕이] Boy Band- APPLICATION (background)

Ran was always made fun of for his feminine name.  (“Ran” meant “a pretty orchid” in Japanese and it was intended for only girls.)  It didn’t help him that he was a pretty as an orchid, either.  At school, the boys bullied him and took his money while the girls became increasingly jealous of Ran for his looks that surmounted theirs.  No one seemed to love him, except for his parents. They loved Ran as much as they could; they knew he was being bullied because the other not-so-beautiful kids were jealous.  When he entered elementary school, it just got worse.  His parents moved the family to Seattle, Washington; they hoped people would treat him better there.  Their wishes were acknowledged.  Ran was easily accepted into the hearts of the innocent American children.  They all played together, laughed together, and loved each other, regardless of looks, gender, or race.  He made many friends and was extremely happy as he blossomed into a beautiful young man.  However, there were unseen complications.  As the kids grew up, their racist, phenol-central parents influenced their attitudes greatly.  They became colder towards their childhood friend and deeply jealous of his looks, girls and boys alike.  Eventually, they shoved him out of their lives, and he was alone again.  They had fallen to the same fate the kids in Japan had started out with, hate.  Ran was in despair, in his second year of junior high, his parents moved him to Hangzhou, China; however, even halfway across the world, everyone treated him the same.  He was neglected and pushed away.  His parents didn’t find out Ran was in so much pain until two years later, and thy immediately relocated to Seoul, South Korea.  His relatives lived here, they had not yet met Ran and were excited to meet him.  Just like the others, he was welcomed warmly and then, once they found out he was nearly “perfect”, they turned a cold shoulder on him.  Later that same year, his father died from a rare form of the common cold.  He had been studying that virus recently and carelessly left it out in the lab.  The next day he walked in and was instantaneously embraced by the disease in the air, and died choking onto the floor, his blood running like the long branches of a white orchid.  His mother became depressed afterwards.  She pushed loads of work onto her shoulders to fight the pain and despair she felt.  She never had time for ran anymore, she was always off on photo shoots.  Therefore, Ran was completely alone. Yet, something strange was happening to Ran.  At his father's funeral, the last time Ran saw his father, he his hair back before signaling the men that it was fine to bury him.  It seemed that, that one caught Ran part of the remaining DNA fragments of the virus.  The DNA of the virus morphed with his DNA and changed his body, his eyes, to be exact.  The strange thing was, it was only his eyes that changed, nothing else except for the fact his digestive tract grew extremely weak.  Otherwise he was completely fine.  Park Ji Young found Ran’s defective eyes, strangely beautiful and asked him to audition for his company.  When he found out that Ran could rap, sing, and dance he accepted him as a trainee.   Over the course of three years, Ran trained for his debut.  He accepted the change, wholly.  It was a gift to be beautiful in the music industry, and he was exactly that.  He had advantages instead of disadvantages, for once, and other beautiful people didn’t mind when someone like Ran entered the scene.  He actually interested them, the beautiful people, his eyes, especially.  He was very happy and became extremely self-confident due to the excessive love his noonas and hyungs give him. Ran finally took a member spot in “WeAreKings.”
