Need Feedback!! [Please Read :}]

Ok so my English teacher wanted us to make alternate book covers for The Hunger Games on paper, waterpaint, graphic design, etc.

So I made mine as a graphic design and I'd really love feedback from you guys.

So here it is.

I don't know what to make of it. Is it good? Bad? Simple? Messy? Bleh.... idk.

I'm personally not fond of the eye color but other than that I like it :)
I like the circle around the eye and how it connects to the mockjay symbol. Along with the pattern repeating in the background.
I think the extra words, need to be in a different font or placed differently or maybe in a different color. It seems slightly out of balance and too distracting for the eye because all the colors on it are darker the white stands out greatly and they eye automatically goes to it.
But over all I think it's really well done and I think it looks really good. I bet yours will be the best in the class :D
