When this happens..

I'm referring to the massacre that happened on Dec 14 in the morning. It happened in Connecticut, USA.
It is really sad that innocent lives were taken away just because of a strange motive to kill. Parents, families and many people suffer. Kids tainted with the horror experience of seeing blood splattered on the corridor walls and friends getting shot dead.

This may sound like a nightmare, bit it is very real to the parties affected.
Other people in the world pray for them, send their condolences.

But there's nothing else we can do.

Then, what about the hundred thousands of young kids dying in poorer countries each year from malaria, aids and other strange kinds of illnesses? Are they not kids as well, who died?
Just because they're poor, doesn't mean they deserve less right for a place on earth than those privileged kids in Connecticut. But what do we do?
We pity them. And we do nothing to help.
Oh yes, there are countless of organisations helping, sending volunteer doctors to give these children a better life.
Yes, there has been improvements.
Yes, less children are dying from sickness each passing year.
But the problem hasn't been fully eradicated, and there are still many opportunities to help.

Volunteer.

If you have time to spare, volunteer.
If you have money to spare, donate.
If you have neither to spare, spread the message to people who can help.
The world can be a better place if we work together. If we look out for others more than just for ourselves. We don't exist as individuals, but as a species. Do think about others. We don't live in our own world, as much as we would like to always think.
