11. Coming Soon - 2008

I watched this Thai film because my friends were always talking about the ghost here, so I thought it was scary. And it is, because the ghost is so ugly and the film is really well-made. Kinda like Hollywood horror but still in touch with the Thai culture. I really liked it. When I watched it, I was alone and that probably contributed to the scariness of the movie. Although, I didn't really like the ending that much.

It's about a young man who works in a cinemaplex. His friend, who is also his ex-wife's brother, gets him into the pirating business. But then, as they were illegaly filming the movie, his friend disappears and the evil from the movie haunts him and his ex-wife. 

12. Feung Shui - 2004

★★★

The terror starts when a housewife brings home a Chinese feung shui thing that a man dropped on the bus. Then people start dying. She discovers that whoever looks in the mirror of the cursed object (I seriously don't know what it's called, but in the movie it's 'bagwa') will die in freak accidents according to their year of birth (year of the pig, year of the rooster, etc), if she doesn't refuse luck (like winning a raffle, etc)

I watched this movie when I was a kid and I never get sick of it 'til now. It's scary with a lot of jump scares, gory scenes, a good plot line and well-developed characters. The ending will pretty much kill you. 

This is a Filipino film by the way. 

13. Art of the Devil - 2008

★★★

A family dies one by one when a brother and son gets engaged to an evil . She looks innocent on the outside but she's the one causing the freak deaths using her evil witch black magic powers. It's pretty gory but it has a good plot, which is a plus. And there's this really creepy albino ghost girl whose there for some reason.

14. Barang - 2006

★★★

Set in the rural areas of Vigan, Philippines, a young woman is terrorized and eventually killed by a woman demon worshipper by using voodoo stuff and black magic on her. In the Philippines, a witch like this is called a 'mangkukulam' or voodoo witch in Western ideas. And 'barang' is, I think, a term for the worst kind 'possessions' or curse there is.

I liked this movie. It has a good amount of grossness and blood.

15. Tales of Terror From Tokyo Vol. 1 - 2003

★★★

Did I say I love Japanese horror anthologies? Because this is one of 'em. This movie consists of about 15 short horror stories that vary from ghosts to other stuff, can't remember, but it's really ing creepy and scary at the same time. You'll get addicted to it. Plus, Japanese ghosts always look scary.
