Since I'm getting a lot of the same questions in comments, wall posts, tumblr messages, and private messages, I figured I'd compile the answers into one big post.

This list includes possible spoilers for the chapters of Simple (including Good Sense, The Expert Gets his Turn, and Two Weeks Without Sugar) and Fated Bond that are currently posted. It will not contain spoilers for future chapters (until I post them, of course), but if you haven't read everything that's up, please read the following at your own risk.

Timeline-related

How old are the characters in Simple? How old are they in Fated Bond? How long did Kris and Tao date before they broke up?

It's a little fuzzy, to be honest. In Simple, Tao is somewhere around 16 and all the others' relative ages are the same as in real life. In the beginning of Fated Bond, Tao is definitely 26 and Kris is 28. This means that Kris and Tao dated for approximately 4 years. 

Does that mean that some of them were drinking underage in Simple?

Yes. Um just don't do it ok, wait until you're legal to drink please.

Why did Kris and Tao break up?

You'll see. 

Why did Luhan and Sehun break up?

My headcanon is that they just went their separate ways. They're still friends though, and it was an amicable breakup.

Are Kai/Kyungsoo still together? How about Chanyeol/Baekhyun?

Chanyeol and Baekhyun had their rough patches, but they're together for now. Kai and Kyungsoo moved to the States and got married about 2 years before Fated Bond starts. 

You should make Xiumin date Luhan, since Hunhan is no longer a thing. Or you should make Luhan and Sehun miraculously get back together.

Xiumin is straight, don't you remember? And no, Hunhan isn't getting back together.

Who is Ailun/Saemi/Dr. An/Aerin?

They're all OCs. I didn't want to make them idols because it felt weird. Fun fact, though: "Aerin" is a name I use in tons of different stories. You may have picked it up if you read 366 or Things I Never Knew I Wanted. 

Dr. An seems interesting. Does she have a backstory? And what's her given name and why doesn't she let Tao use it?

Dr. An's given name is Xiaoli, and she doesn't let Tao use it because I don't want her to. Her backstory is that she's a heartbreaker. She's an extremely complicated character who I will probably never tell the story of, mostly because only I would find it terribly interesting.

What are the characters from Simple who don't appear in Fated Bond doing?

Kai and Kyungsoo live in the US (I don't know why but I'm going to say Connecticut) and they're married, and they both have desk jobs that they don't love but don't hate. They're happy. Baekhyun and Chanyeol live in Seoul, together, but they're not married, and things are a little rough for them, but they're managing. Baekhyun works in the marketing department of a cosmetics company and Chanyeol owns a ddeokbokki shop. Sehun is an architect and he lives in Seoul too, in the same neighborhood as Xiumin, who's an economist. Chen lives in Busan, and he's a real estate agent, and Suho is a pediatrician in Daejeon. 

Why?

Because I felt like it.

What is a mojito and why does the bartender get all pissy when Tao asks for one?

A mojito is a cocktail made with rum, sugar, lime juice, sparkling water, and mint (and I enjoy them even more when they have blackberries, even though that's not really a thing). It's pretty low in alcohol content (it contains more alcohol by volume than most beers but not as much as most wines). The bartender gets pissy because mojitos are difficult and time-consuming to make, and often, bars don't stock a whole lot of mint, which is basically the key ingredient. 

When Kris asks for an IPA, what does that mean?

IPA = India Pale Ale and it's a style of beer.

Are you going to write spinoffs of Fated Bond like you did for Simple?

(Probably!) Probably not, just because I don't really have any other stories to tell.
