Explanation ._. about promoters

This post is to explain why I DON'T like wall promotions.

All my subscribers were gained by my own hard work, and of course promotion by my cousin on her fic. I don't like how people take shortcuts by promoting around. Therefore I don't like to entertain others when they promote.

Anyways, those people who promoted on my wall, do you know that you guys made me felt like as if all my chapters are just futile attempts to get more readers? Since people can just get readers easily by promoting around, why did I even bother to try to make my stories as perfect as I can do?

So, stop promoting on my wall or else I'll go to your wall and slam you D;

I can prolly guess your plot. If it's not "I hate this person but we end up being together", or "I'm getting married to ___ but we don't like each other/arranged marriage", or "he likes me but I don't like him, vice versa", or "two guys liking the same girl", it's probably role play.

In whatever ways, just shoo! :(

I'll delete it and go to your wall and vent my anger there.

And if I'm extremely pissed I'll slam you on my fic D;

Now I'll add in some of what I wanna say :3

Tbh I find it unfair towards authors who have ACTUALLY WORKED HARD on their fics as those shameless promoters go around promoting ._. If your fic is good it'll get popular by itself, right? -_- So by promoting are you actually stating that your fics aren't good? /: low self confidence much

Another thing I wanna rant about : The fic advertising thing... Honestly I think some of the fics advertised are not worth reading. No offence but there are many better fics out there that haven't been noticed because all the users with all the high karma are taking all the spots ._.

P.S) I don't like OC fics. Its damn delusional ><

We got the same thoughts. I mean why would you want to promote you fics? If it's really great, then it should get tons of readers easily because it should be easily to find out. BUT PROMOTIONS ARE JUST CRAPPY. People who actually worked hard on their fics yet hold low karma to advertise their fics or have no time to promote around others' walls actually deserve so much more. ): It's just so unfair towards these people when others try so hard to promote.

Another thing is this OC thing. Yup, I agree with you on this one too. I've never liked OC fics actually, but sometimes I just read because it seems like a lot of people like that so I could try it out. But OC fics are so typical. The plot is always the same thing, doesn't it even get boring? Another thing is that I dislike people who uses "you" in their fics. What's the point? Is it just to attract readers and get them to imagine themselves as the "you"? This is pathetic, in my opinion. By using "you" it practically destroys the fic.

I still have more to say but actually I'm not in the mood to criticize people. BECAUSE RIGHT NOW I'M JUST EXCITED. ;A;

I agree. And every fic being promoted or advertised, whether it be by wallpost or from that bid, are usually all the same.

imo, half the people here on AFF aren't even writing for their own enjoyment, it's mainly for popularity. Hence, why the majority of 'you' fics are all similar. Because dbskgirl4ever(is that her name?) is probably one of the most, if not THE most, popular author on here, almost everyone is inspired to write like her so they'd get popular with subscribers too.
It bothers me that writers like those overshadow the ones who write because they like to write and receive feedback. (I think it's pretty obvious on who's subscriber-hungry when their A/Ns are something along the lines of 'Update will not be up until I get 20 more subscribers!)
