Is lending karma allowed? And my view on writing.

Not that I want to, but as I was randomly stalking blogs, I came across this one person who was asking people to lend her karma so she could advertise her fic and that she would return it. I want to find out if 'lending karma' is actually legit and state my view that because of karma, people are writing for the subscribers and for the karma and fame, not for enjoyment or for the fact that people would actually like and feel happy for what they read. That particular person even blamed the loss of her subscribers on AFF, and she stated she 'worked to hard to get many subscribers'. So is writing about getting subscribers, or is it about expressing yourself in a different way, about enjoying what you do and do it well and feel happy with the end product, regardless of anything, not come up with a cliche storyline about the OC having 12 husbands and unbelievable stuff with crudely thrown language just to get more subscribers. It really saddens me.

I copied and pasted what she typed in her few blogposts.

"Hello guys. LOVE YOU ALL.

So I need your help again.

I need some people to give me karma.

Even 10 will help.

So please please please.

And I promise to give you back when I can. I don't lie."

"Last time when I haven't advertised my Fell For A Jerk, I had 540 subscribers.

I would always work so hard to get that much subscribers and I was so happy.

But the next day, I woke up with 460 subscribers.

I was so damn devastated.

Well, a few days later, I was back with 540 subscribers. Yay.

Then the next day when I woke up, I got 450 subscribers.

Well. I think losing 4-6 subscribers is fine.

And maybe its just people not liking my fics or something.

But come on. 90 subscribers gone overnight? Something is amiss.

And I hate it.

And it can't be a consicdence as it happed for more than 4 times already. And it happened again.

1057→960

/facepalm/

SO please subscribe to me!

And what I want you to do is, help me think of a suggestion to stop this or ask asianfanfics to help. Thnx"

"could you guys lend me some karma? I'll give it back to you O.O"

"HELP ME BY SUBSCRIBING TO MY FIC!

Once you've done, comment below and I'll subscribe to you and maybe 2 of your fics?"

Personally, I feel that one should subscribe to fics based on their interest and not to gain more subscribers. But do comment and tell me how you feel about this!

That seems silly and also a waste. You need to report that person -_-

I wonder what that person would do if aff went down and suddenly make all of her subscribers disappear. LOL. What kind of fics does thir person write?

-sigh- Yeah, I always thought 'subs' were sort of compliments, "I like the story"ish type of things, not really, "Sub for Sub" which makes it pretty meaningless- really. It can't really be helped since there is a point-system-- and AFF is overrun with different types of people.

Lending karma isn't against any rules that, but I agree that people are getting pretty desperate for attention on top of having pretty unenlightened attitudes toward writing in general. Writing is an art, not a popularity contest. *sigh*
