Procrastination Nation - My Journey with Super Junior

So... Right now, I'm working on the next chapter of Into Another World, but I'm... well... having writer's block. Teehee devil Then I came across THIS!!

----------------------------When-------------------------------------

I joined the K-pop community back in 2005, where the first k-pop song I heard was Super Junior and DBSK's "Show Me Your Love" via Youtube (Go Youtube!)

-----------------------------How----------------------------------------

That song somehow got into my MP3 Player (didn't have iPod Touch then XD), and I got bored one day and searched up Super Junior. I found their song, "Twins Knockout", and I was drawn in:)

-----------------------------Why-----------------------------------------

The things I thought about Knockout were: 1) There were LOTSSSS of members, 2) Their dancing was SOOO COOOL! They were so together! 3) Even though I could barely distinguish them, there were quite a few that looked cute, 4) Even so, their hair is sort of... hideous.

Interested, I searched up more of their videos and looked them up on Wikipedia. I have to admit, it was pretty fun trying to count how many there were in the music videos. Heechul was especially entertaining, with his craziness in Knockout and his femininity in U.

----------------------------Who-------------------------------

Then came the hard (yet really fun) part: distinguishing each member and memorizing their names. In the olden days, a.k.a. 2005, there weren't any good systems on Youtube to name each person in a group, so I searched up their pictures on Google, found one with their names placed next to their faces, and I went from there.

It was challenging because their looks in Knockout, Miracle, Dancing Out, and U were so different (different hair colors and hair lengths). I couldn't believe that the black haired Hankyung in Knockout was the brown haired guy with scary eyes in U! The same with Donghae and his long blonde hair and then short dark hair. Ryeoweok looked so feminine in U that I couldn't believe for the LONGEST time that he was the guy who always did that 'check' motion in Knockout http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrazFGFRnhM (1:00, 1:09, 1:20, 3:18).

Of course, there were some people that I recognized easily. I believe I labeled Siwon as the one with the thickest eyebrows. Lol, no matter how similar the members looked, I knew that the one with the thickest eyebrows is called Siwon. And of course, I recognized Heechul because of his outrageous hairstyles and then slowly his big eyes and pouty mouth. Besides, he's always the most unique one out of the group XD.

The hardest members to distinguish were Kangin and Leeteuk for some reason. I had everybody memorized and recognized except for those two. I think in the end, I realized that Kangin had a rounder, more baby-like face. :P

--------------------------Favorites-------------------------------

Once I had them distinguished, I was able to actually pick out the ones that I liked more :P Kibum was definitely the cutest in Knockout :D He was okay in U, I think I preferred Kyuhyun. Actually, Heechul's swag (1:40), Yesung's smoothness (1:56), and Sungmin's hip swaying were all quite attractive to me (2:31)XD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrLHPdZf-t8

Then, I went into their variety shows, and I thought Eunhyuk was so cute! Yesung was actually hilarious, and Sungmin was actually really cool~

Based on looks alone, I have to say Kibum was my type. Kyuhyun is ranked second. He is also cute, and he also has this funny smart-alec, sarcastic side that I like (more on my attraction for sarcastic people later :P). Sungmin is so cool when he does martial arts, and he is soo hot in Don't Don!! Hankyung holds a special place in my heart because he's Chinese and he used to be in a dance school (I saw a video of him performing in that dance school, and have to admit, he had some hot and beautiful muscles blush). And Eunhyuk, well, he got better and better looking as time went by :)

-------------------------Other Songs---------------------------------------

By the time Don't Don came out, I knew all of their names, and got myself acquainted with more k-pop groups. But I have to admit, the MV for Don't Don appealed very much to my Final Fantasy fanatic tendencies, :D Heechul definitely had the best hair (*sigh*) (2:56), and Hankyung was a very close second (*drools*) (0:01). Leeteuk's hair and his AWESOME hair flip was also quite nice (3:04). Then Henry came in, and I, along with the rest of Super Junior fans, were confused about him, but after looking up his videos online and being seduced by his hair and violin-playing, he scored a place in my heart :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qN5fPQCnPyw

After that was Sorry Sorry, (It's You - in repackaged album), Bonamana, and Mr. Simple. Hmm, I'm not sure if I liked these as much as I liked the other MV's and songs. I mean, if you didn't notice, I really liked their rocker image, but it seemed like the simple and sleek style captured more audiences. The MV's were cool, but they weren't that different from one another. However, I have to say this: Eunhyuk is DEFINITELY getting better looking by the day. His hair in It's You and in Mr. Simple do well with his jawline~

Alright, that's the end of my spiel regarding Super Junior:) It's now become late, so I'll do write the next chapter of Into Another World later :P Procrastination FTW!! Hopefully, when I get bored again, I will write about DBSK :)
