#1. A short lesson in Mandarin:

羊驼 (yang tuo) = alpaca
兴驼 (xing tuo) = Zhang Yixing’s nickname
驼 (tuo) = a name suffix used in Hunan, where Yixing is from

#2. Laylay actually looks like an alpaca! In fact, Japanese fans have been comparing Yixing to an alpaca for MONTHS, way before Ace was given to Kris. (Japanese glossary: Alpaca = アルパカ, Lay = レイ, Yixing = イシン or イーシン)

BONUS: Is Ace 桃 (tao = peach) in Mandarin?
Answer: NO, not even remotely. But hey, if you want to make wishy washy leaps of logic to get to that answer, who am I to argue with you? I’m just curious though, why on earth would Kris want his stage name to refer to a playing card or another member? Even Ace Ventura would make more sense…
