Personality :

Minwoo is your typical cold and independent bad boy. Although, what makes him stand out is something I will say later. Minwoo is your type of person who hates to interact with people and isn't very fond of anyone stepping within 5 ft. around him or of anyone even talking to him. He's not the type of person to trust very much and is always cautious even when it may seem like he isn't. There's no use in getting him to talk since he isn't interested in making conversation. In fact, he's not interested in anything that doesn't involve him. Minwoo doesn't listen to people very well, he rather trust his instinct than someone he doesn't even know. He's quiet and very thoughtful. When you call him, sometimes it may take more than once to get his attention because he's always stuck in his head, but if you even try to come close, he'll snap and take you down. Minwoo is cautious and is always on alert. There's never a time he doesn't let his guard down and almost react to everything. He's not a guy you can scare easily, but he is a guy that you can expect to be jumping into defense mode at even the smallest of surprises.

Now, one interesting part about him, is that he's kind of insane. And I mean mentally insane. Minwoo is a sadistic character who takes pride in torturing people. He's in constant struggle with two sides of him: his rational side and his insane side. It's like a two split personality or a personality disorder, to be specific. This disorder lowers his tolerance of things and that's why he doesn't like it when anyone comes near him or even speak to him when he doesn't want them to. One thing that irritates him and he'll slip up and start going crazy. His insane side loves hurting, torturing and scaring the crap out of his target. This side of him is very messy and won't go away until he either kills his target, gets knocked out or, by some miracle, manage to get ahold of himself. But that's not likely to happen.

If you are one of those people who are actually on Minwoo's good side, you can definitely expect loyalty and protection. It takes a lot to get Minwoo's trust, but abuse it and you won't be seeing the sky anymore. Minwoo's way of getting through life, despite his disorder that he struggles with, is his small circle of family. You can still expect his poker face, but also expect a conversation. He's a very shy character and is very easy to tease. He's also quite sarcastic, but if you're looking for a joke, well, you're looking at the wrong guy.

History :

Minwoo was quite normal when he was younger, and was well respected because he was strong and agile. A lot of people know of him which was really bad in his teenage years. But as for his childhood years, his father, a former winner, trained him everyday, all day and all night. He was also taught how to make his own weapon with steel, but also with wood in case he ever needed to make a quick one while he was in the woods.

It continued that way until his teenage years. Gambling became quite a big thing in Sector 5, and there was an illegal one that was kept underground. It was almost of a ... gladiator arena where they pitted people against others or against animals, and the animals weren't sheeps. Unfortunately, because of Minwoo's skills, he was kidnapped and taken as a one of these gladiators. He was in it for 2 months, but that was all he needed to go insane. On the day he was rescued, he was pitted against a lion. He was only 13 years old at the time and wasn't all that strong, and even his agility wasn't fast enough against a lion. Good thing he had intelligence on his side and enough common sense to run away. In the middle of his fight, his father and a bunch of officals came in and shut down the place.

Being inside that gladiator pit, Minwoo developed his split personality from his liking of killing other people. But also, since then, he became cold and independent, hoping to never have to go through that again. He focused solely on his training and didn't care about the people around him, only those that he considered family, which wasn't a lot. He became more alert and cautious. Until he met a girl, Kwon Minah. She managed to break through his defense and they became a couple, at least until the day he became part of the reaping.

Family :

Baek Dongwoo | 44 | Hunter | Calm, Intelligent, Cautious, Quiet, Assertive | They do have a bonding relationship. They're sparring partners and when they're not sparring, they're usually sharing a quiet moment together. They're like two gentlemen having a nice cup of coffee, just without the whole coffee thing. Encouraging and talking with words aren't their thing, but their actions and the smallest things they do are. They know what the other is thinking about without even having to ask.
Baek Sumin | 43 | Housewife | Protective, Cautious, Strong-headed, Stubborn, Warm | They have a very funny relationship. Sumin is always worrying over Minwoo and helping him, while he stubbornly refuses to accept help from her. Sumin has no problem teaching her son a lesson or two and showing him that family is important. Minwoo tries to avoid her as much as possible since he doesn't want to have the public see him as a weak person.
Baek Yuri | 13 | Training | Outgoing, Loud, Sarcastic, Joker, Intelligent | They're constantly at each other's throat when it's just the two alone ... or anywhere actually. They often have battles one who is more intelligent than the other. But, Minwoo is very protective of Yuri and promises not to let anything hurt her. Yuri sees it and is the same towards him.

The reaping :

Minwoo did volunteer, but for the wrong cause. I had mention a girl, Kwon Minah. Well, they were a cute couple and Minwoo would even die for her, but she wouldn't. In fact, she didn't like him at all. On the day of the reaping, Xiumin was chosen to go up. This is where Minwoo comes in. Minah begged Minwoo to volunteer instead since Xiumin was a really good friend of hers. Minwoo didn't want to, but, like I said, he would even die for her. So, he agreed. Only to see Xiumin kissing her girlfriend before he left.

Best Friend :

Kim Himchan | 19 | Combat Teacher | Flirty, Careless, Intelligent, Clumsy, Loyal | They've been together since they were born. Before, they were rivals, always competing and fighting. But after Minwoo was taken, Himchan became nicer to him and it wasn't long before the two were as close as brothers. They still compete with each other, but in a friendly way. Often, they spend time together by having walks or by hanging out. Sometimes, they can be a bit creepy since they always know what the other is going to say.

Kim 'Xiumin' Minseok | 19 | Xiumin was one of Minwoo's competition in the gladiator arena. Xiumin defeated him, but because Minwoo was valuable he was pulled out before he could get killed. Minwoo hated him since. Xiumin hates him because he never got to kill Minwoo.

Rival :

Sector 8 because he sees them as people who relate to him in a way, which make them deadly. They're the only people that Minwoo is cautious off and feels very off about.

►Flight is essential, but I can't let my fear show

On the field :

Minwoo doesn't hesitate when it comes to killing, but he's extremely cautious and aware of his surroundings. Depending on his personality he'll either wait until the time is right or start making preparation to slowly kill his target. He's not easily thrown off by things but when he's really focus he'll get surprise by small things that doesn't seem right. He follows his instincts on the field.

Anything you'd like to say about your character? : Well I would like to say that I picked no love interest at all because of the fact that his girlfriend or his ex-girlfriend completely used him. Oh and I don't mind dying i guess, but i'd rather he die fighting to his last breathe.

Suggestions : I would like to see that fireball scene that did in the Hunger Game movie. Or anything similar where they tried to get the players together.
