You're all insane… and so am I.

 

See the period at the end of the title? I mean it passively, with little emotion. 

I’m a Taoris shipper. Now, before anyone starts assuming that I’m a “crazy 12 year old fangirl”, please, allow me to explain why I’m even posting this. 

Honestly, I was completely oblivious to the “ship wars” (as some people call it) until less than 30 mins ago. I was shocked to be honest. So, I decided to look into it. I go on tumblr and see too-many-to-count posts about this and I must say…
Everyone is being immature about it. 

That says a lot coming from a 16 year old. 

I’ll admit, I’m a diehard Taoris fan that both writes and reads Taoris fanfics but whenever I say “Taoris is real”, I mean it jokingly. In my heart, Taoris IS real BUT I see them as really close friends aside from fanfics (were all my not-so-pure fantasies belong). Obviously, with Tao being my bias, it struck me kind of hard to even imagine Tao being bashed. 

I say everyone participating in this “ship war” is insane, but since I’m writing this, then so am I. 
I refuse to assume anything of anyone, but I do question everyone’s maturity when it comes to this situation. 

Now, I’ll be perfectly honest. 
When I first started listening to exo, I really didn’t like Taoris. 
I did, however, like Kray, the KrisxLay pairing and XiuHan, the XiuminxLuhan pairing. I also liked SeKai, the SehunxKai pairing. 

I don’t care what others say, I’m still not to fond of HunHan and I only recently started warming up to Baekyeol and KaiSoo… eh. For me, Taoris was kind of… one of those “woke up one morning” things. 

Anyway, this post is only really directed to those that assume “all Taoris shippers are crazy, 12 year old fangirls” and to all those that assume that all Taoris shippers “gotta hate on other ships”. 

All ships have antis and fans. No biggie. You’ll see hate comments every now and then, but what really demonstrates your maturity is whether you chose to bash back or not. 

I originally wrote this to address the “bashing Tao” issue, but the more I write, read, delete, and repeat this post, the more I see that that’s really not even the issue. I honestly don’t even know how any of this started or why it even started in the first place. This whole ship war is pointless. 

Remember what I said about my opinions of some exo ships? Well, just because I don’t ship something, doesn’t mean anything. I don’t ship HunHan (even though it’s “real” or whatever), but I will respect your opinion if you do. 

Another ship: KrisYeol. 
I really, really seriously dislike that ship. Why? Because it just doesn’t make any sense to me. Do you like this ship? If you do, great, but I still don’t like it. Respect that I don’t like it and I’ll respect that you do. Don’t respect my opinion on it, then I’ll still respect that you do. 
Just like Taoris, I only see KrisYeol as close friends. 

See? 

Not all Taoris shippers are “overly sensitive about their OTP” or “crazy 12 year old fangirls” or whatever anyone else can/will come up with. 

You’re all insane for continuing to drag this whole matter on and on and so am I because I’m doing the same thing by posting this. 

Does that make me a hypocrite? Possibly. 

But here’s a life lesson: everyone is a hypocrite in some way. 

So, to all those people that say “all Taoris shippers are crazy, 12 year old fangirls” (etc etc). Are you just ignoring the fact that you may possibly be the exact same way with your ship?

To all those that say “Taoris shippers are overly defensive about their OTP”, well… honestly, I will proudly admit that I got a little defensive when I read that “Tao is being bashed” but all (yes, all) fans are like that when someone says something cruel about their bias. But I say again, your maturity is demonstrated by whether you chose to bash back or not. 

So all I gotta say is: peace, love, Taoris ;)
