I am obviously way behind in the times...

Okay, so I'm a recent convert to Shawolism (recent as in the last year), so I never knew this sh*t existed:

Holy , that's SHINee's manager, Choi Jin, hitting a sasaeng fan upside the head. Apparently/allegedly she kissed Jong on the mouth (as he is wiping his -lips clean again). Taemin and Minho look concerened, Key also, but Onew seems indifferent.

The video has been pulled unfortunately, but this is what I read here:

On the 14th, it was reported that C.N Blue’s manager had been showing violence towards the fan when the fan tugged on the sweater of member in C.N Blue. However, it looks like SHINee might be facing the same manager problems.

Within days of the C.N Blue’s manager violence incident, the same issue hit the internet once again, however this time with SHINee’s manager. In the video clip released, it was the manager of the idol group SHINee, slapping the back head of a young female fan. Along with that video clip, the netizens are roaring across various websites at this action.

The girl who had been hit in during the incident replied, “I posted on the fan homepage that I was hit by the manager, but the management (SM Entertainment) dismissed it as a rumor and deleted my post.” So along with the post from the girl who was hit during that incident, the netizens angers are growing. The netizens responded to the video by saying “Managers must really hit a lot of times”, “In the back TaeMin is so surprised, and from what they wearing, it must be from their ‘Juliette’ days”. Some even questioned members of SHINee by stating, “I don’t understand SHINee members for just passing by when a fan is being hit.”

Update:

SM Entertainment announced their official apology about the manager incident. On the 17th, SM Entertainment called StarNews and stated, “This clip of SHINee must have been during August of last year when they were in the midst of transferring schedule to the next schedule.” In addition they added, “We are deeply sorry to all the fans about such a horrible act occurring.”

They revealed their apology saying, “The managers and also the staff member will work harder so that such incident will not occur again. Once again, we are deeply sorry.”

I know this is old, but apparantly, he did it again for a fan of EXO-K:

What do you guys think about this? Did that/those girls deserve it, or do you think this was a little harsh? What do you think of SHINee's reaction, or lack thereof? I guess maybe this b*tch-slapping could have come in handy when Jong got attacked and resultantly hurt his leg, but those girls just look so small and innocent at the same time, I have mixed emotions about violence used.

I am thankful that MBLAQ's peeps were so kind to us in Los Angeles! I got to rub arms with Lee Joon and no one f*ed my head up (it was an accident anyway). And it only makes me believe the one incident in Disney Land even more (from last April's SM Town) where SHINee's manager was extremely rude to the girl because she wanted to take pictures of them, and Minho got really protective over the group (daw... my bb).

Still, guess us crazy girls (me) better think twice about trying to kidnap/molest/imprison/ our biases, unless we want to get punched in the skull by an angry manager. Better find a way to make them come along voluntarily...  ^.~

Oh yeah. They deserve it. If I was the manager, I would've bought a bat with me.

Or worse...my fiancee. Seriously...that girl can punch, slap, kick...and just about everything else in between.

The fact that she's so overprotective of SHINee she actually almost hired a security unit for them at one time - she didn't as she doesn't know where they live - I'm pretty sure she would've done a LOT worse to that fan...

hmm.. i can't really decide whether she deserved it- or if the manager is being a jerk.
i mean, yeah she pulled a risky and stupid move, but the manager didn't need to hit her, lawl. i didn't even know you could somebody else other than your children or sibilings!
ugh, gosh, jjong is so y, wiping his lip and shiz. key must've been pissssseeeeddddd. <3

Let me just start off by saying that I had never seen this either!!(Although, I have heard about it...)
I'm kind of torn, to be honest.
I can sympathize with the manager because, well, he was just doing his job.
But I don't understand why they didn't just SUE the girl for ual harassment?! I get that they don't want to piss off the fans, but, honestly, her actions were WAY out of line!
On the other hand, I don't EVER want to have my head b*tch slapped...
I'm not sure. :/
I get that they are idols and all but they are human.
People should have some respect~.
*revises plan to molest Minho*

Yes I will think three times to figure out how not to get caught trying to kidnap/molest/imprison/____ my bias...or I could wear a helmet. lol. On a real note that really wasn't cool nobody wants kisses stolen from them by someone they don't even know. Soo not cool but at the same time he really didn't need to hit her he could have shoved her hard or pushed her aside. I know he cares of the boys and he probably got angry like a parent would about someone forcing kisses on their precious sons but plz show some restraint.

::Grrrr:: she assaulted him so she gets assaulted..Ok he's a guy and I hear and _______ anyways so I guess it's wrong... but I would have mopped the floor with her, that's just disrespectful.

I'm not being bias or anything... pfffft.

But if I look at it from another angle?

Publicity stunt.

It's happened before, too. When they were in New York for a show, that idiot manager pushed fans away when they approached SHINee for autographs.

It's a little disgusting, I think, if the guy gets nutty for little things like photography. Not to mention it's a hate crime against a woman.

Then again, some fans are seriously fked in the head. Writing about them is one thing. Trying to publically insult them is another. And I use the word "insult" because, as I keep reminding people, the East doesn't welcome PDA. At all. it's kinda taboo actually, if you kiss in a public place. And this lady looked like she literally pulled the poor boy to herself. Knowing Jonghyun, it'd be a miracle if he didn't get traumatized.

of course it is not okay to hit these girls but on the other side we have to see the managers point of view...they are very stressed because of the scedule and have to protect the band from to wild fans...maybe fans should think twice about their actions and remember that idols and manager are human too

I don't think it was okay to hit someone like that. But to be honest if it's true and it happened like that it's kind of disappointing to see how they had no reaction towards it. I mean maybe they are used to it or maybe they get tired of being harassed all the time but I expected at least a gasp or a flinch I mean wouldn't that be your reaction if you were to see this?

I don't think it was necessary for the manager to physically abuse the girl in the Exo-K gif because all I can see is a girl trying to take a photo. But the Shinee one is a bit controversial because If she supposely kissed Jonghyun's lips then that was a more physically assault to the member. Either way is really concerning the fact that it was the same manager. But we have to understand that SM migh be protecting their idols from further attacks like the TVXQ or Suju ones :/ We are really lucky that Shinee hasn't been attacked severely :)

Personally I think the manager went over board. It's one thing to be doing your job but it's another to cause physical harm. That's abuse and it's wrong. Now of course she probably shouldn't have been that close, at least give your idols room to breath, but he could have just firmly guided her away and if he did that = no big story, no hoopla and the idols are safe as well. Taemin, Minho, and Key all look concerned but what could you do if you were them? The manager's helping them out and is on their side so they can't really yell at him. Onew looks confused. I think he didn't see the hit but just saw the manager pushing her away. I don't know why JOnghyun's unresponsive and I don't know if the kiss was real so I can't say. I'm just like you. I became a shawol last year so I'm as clueless as you.

i think the jong kissing thing was just a rumor but i dont think key or onew saw what happened based on what i see in the video. i think those girls kind of deserved it though. you should know to respect their space and not get too close, and if hitting them is the only way for them to understand that, so be it :P

Idk, I think they deserved it... cause I'm jealous that I cant get that close >:D Jk jk. But really, I don't agree with a man putting his hands on a girl violently, ever. Its different to shove and block, but he's like using his manly hands on their little faces, and they do look pretty weak/physically harmless.. It just doesn't look right ._.
