He was born from a wealthy family from Daegu. Since childhood, he could have anything he could ever wanted. But he was never the type to ask for things but even so, his parents tried to give him the best he could have. As an only child, he was spoiled a lot by his family
By the age of 7, he started to have an interest in the fiel of music. He started learning how to play the piano and even the violin. By the age of 9, he started learning dance and his teachers applauded him for being so talented. This made him realize that his dream was not to be in the field of business but in the field of music. This idea was not welcomed by his parents though. They have expected him to run after the family business and they didn't want their child turning into some b-rated performer.
Hurt as he was, he started hiding his singing, dancing and isntrument lessons from his parents. By the age of 12, he was scouted by DAYS Entertainment scouts while on his way to the dance studio in Seoul. Determined to pursue his dream, he told his parents that he'll be studying in a business school back in Seoul. By the approval of his parents, he was able to go to Seoul.
A year later, his parents found out what their son had been doing (that he didn't go to business school but instead attended Seoul Arts Academy while being a trainee in DAYS Entertainment) and immediately ordered him to go back to Daegu right that instant. Daeyeol held his ground though and told his parents that he will prove to them that his decision was right all along. The parents were hesitant at first but then softened soon after because after all, this is what their child wants. Months later, Daeyeol received gifts from his parents (new shoes, clothes, etc.) which meant that they have finally accepted their sons decision.
personality:
A cold Daegu man. He doesn't trust people quite easily and he's not the type to talk too much. He's the oberver type of person who pays attention to the things around him. He's more of a follower than a leader but with his skills, he could definitely lead people.
He doesn't show his emotions too quickly and he always has that cute smile showing. But don't be fooled, behind that cute innocent smile is a boy who loves playing pranks and to tease people. Though, he only does that to people he's close with. To strangers, people would have a hard time making him speak a word or two but with friends, he's a real mood maker. Even though it doesn't look like it, he's really caring and helpful.
He's a bit spoiled due to the fact that he was spoiled as a kid so from time to time he tends to throw tantrums from time to time when things don't go as he wishes it to. When faced by a problem, he uses his rarely seen aegyo to get out of it.

trainee background:
He was scouted while he was on his way to a dance studio in Seoul to practice. At first he didn't believe the people who approached him so he naturally ran away. After a minute of chasing, the scout gave him their calling card. When he got home, he searched for the agency's website and saw that they really are open for trainees. He sent a video of himself to the email posted at the website and three days after, he got a confirmation that he was indeed accepted to the agency.
