PERSONAL RANT~ I just need to get this out, you don't need to comment or whatever I just need to complain a lil. Thanks~

Okay, so everyone's heard Gangnam Style by PSY, right? Of course, why even ask? Well now that's he's out, everyone (even people who don't listen to Korean) think that it's the best thing ever. And it's pretty epic. That is a no brainer.

But what about us non-koreans that listen to kpop? We've liked it for a while and yet we get weird looks about it. 

Personally, alot of people make alot of mean comments about me liking Korean, Japanese, Chinese, or whatever non-English songs. 

So now Gangnam's style's out. Everyone likes it. EVERYONE. Even all the people that claimed kpop was "weird, stupid, and retarded."

So, just be funny, I comment on a good friend's FB wall about this topic. Just because he's one of those people, but he does it just to spite me, yeah haha. I could really care less what he thinks but I comment just to be a smarta** :P

He shared a Gangnam Style photo and so I commented, "And you said my Korean music is sh*t. Hah, I win :P"

Yeah, just being a smarta** to tweak his geek a bit.

And his friend makes a comment about how most Korean music is sh*t and Gangnam Style is epic as hell, end of story.

Now, I find that really pathetic.

All of these kpop bands, fighting to get attention and views and acception across the globe and FINALLY when one artist does the impossible, the entire genre is kicked in the face.

I don't even know what to say. I decided not to say anything to the douche cuz I didn't want to spam my friend's picture with a fight to the death. But, really?

Just because someone doesn't speak English, doesn't mean the song is sh*t or retarded, a waste of space, worshiping the devil...etc.

I find it completely pigheaded that some people think that way. It angers me to no end.

Now in my house, I am the only one listening to such music. I don't play it around them because I know they don't like it and I don't want to hear their comments. But if I'm listening to my music and someone asks about what I'm listening to, I'll tell them. If they decided to bash it, then they shouldn't have asked.

But friends do ask, and they give me weird looks and make dumb comments. Even in college, I have my dorm room wall filled with kpop posters and no. I will not take them down no matter what people say.

Back to my original rant, I hate that even with PSY's sucess, people will bash the rest of his fellow artists just because they aren't as "funny" or "epic" as Gangnam Style is. It makes me angry and sad that people think that way.

These artists try to convey meaning, style, and art into their songs, and yes, I will admit not all succeed and it's a little funny at times. But they aren't all "sh*t." In fact, none of them are "sh*t." Some may not be as good as others but that doesn't make it sh*t or garbage.

People need to be a little opened minded and be accepting to those that are different from them. Really. Grow up a little.

*Sigh* Okay, I'm done for now. I just needed to express my opinion somewhere it would be accepted and people would share the same view as I do.
