In Need of Writing Advice

okay guys, as you know, i’m rewriting one of my jongkey fanfics for a college creative writing class i’m in. here’s the original story [LINK] (The Light of Your Smile)

as of today, i am almost finished in a draft of the story and i wrote it in such a way that the reader cannot tell the gender of the narrator (jjong). it basically could be a guy or a girl depending on your view points

well, since i want to keep it a secret for you guys but yet get feedback, generally my question is: should i mention Jonghyun or Kibum's names somewhere in the story?

i’m not sure if i should mention names. and if so, should it even be their names? should i chance that my classmates and/or professor may look up names for gender purposes or others…. and accidentally find jongkey shipping?

i really need some feedback so if you could take a bit of time to help me out… that would be great.

any other feed back to improve the story or ideas to make it longer (besides making them meet) in general would be fantastic. thanks guys!

**NOTE: my college campus is LGBT friendly, I'm not so much worried of them figuring out that this a homoual couple as much as I'm worried about them finding jongkey shipping if they decide to dig deeper into the Korean culture to find out genders of the names. (knowledge of Korean culture is very minimal where I live)

You know, if you don't want them finding about jongkey shipping, you may want to use different names

I personally think it would be more interesting if you mention their names.. If no one knows whether it's female or male that only adds to this effect, you already have by not telling the gender of the narrator :)

Maybe somewhere in the store without them being the main focus, so no one would think they are the premis of you story.
