Kpop Girl Group Review: Girl's Day

Yoohoo, I'm having a corner in my blog. I'm going to review Girl Idol Bands that I know quite well. I'll be going through debut to current (songs only and maybe some of their personality).. Remember, this is personal opinion, so it may differ from person to person. If you have a complaint or something to add, I will change it right away and take your comments into consideration.

Name: Girl's Day
Members: 5
Names: Sojin, Minah, Yura, Hyeri, Jihae
Ex-Members: Jisun, Jiin
Company: DreamTea Entertainment
Debut Song: Tilt My Head

First Impressions: Well, I knew them from a friend who was obsessed with Twinkle Twinkle by them so I was like "Oh another SNSD or something?" So I didn't pay much attention to them.

Hell, was I wrong.

Debut Stage:
Hair: Eh
Clothes: Bumble Bee. Seriously.
Dance: Ehh.... Interesting...
Song: OH HELL NO
That was, let me say, one of the WORST debut I have EVER heard in my life. Let me say this now, I ing love them right now. Their hilarious in Flower Bouquet and Sojin/Minah's vocals are AMAZING. Some of the best in idol groups actually.
The song though, the song. It was so autotuned and annoying. How the hell are the girls supposed to make a big impression on them? Lipsynching like SNSD and T-ara wouldn't be good cause it's ing autotune EVERYTHING, but they sang it, and it was TERRIBLE. ayhkj, worst debut stage ever, or one of the worst at least.

Listen to this ! Argh, producers need to go burn somewhere.

Big Hit Songs/Songs with MV's:
Tilt My Head: Debut song, and a bad one too. I ranted about it in the debut so I'll keep it short. The MV was... certainly unique and eye-catching, but it wasn't worth much. The visuals and dancing was fine, the whole song's autotune, and uhhh... yeah. It would've been better to release this a little later. Say if Nothing Lasts Forever or Twinkle Twinkle was the debut, that would've been much better. I personally didn't like the music video, but whatever, it was interesting.
3/10 (could've been much better)

How Do I Look: It's a nice relaxing song that shows more vocals than Tilt my Head. It doesn't completely make up for the terrible debut, but it's quite good honestly. It's one of those random songs you'll have in the album, nothing too unique and nothing too dull. The music video wasn't much to see, but it was a good way of introducing "Girl's Day" since it fit well with the group's name. There was no dancing in the MV (which I honestly didn't mind) and the rap was good and fit well. All in all, an average song.
5/10 (average. Nothing special)

Nothing Lasts Forever: The music video was pretty good and showed a new side of the girls. The singing/vocals in this were amazing and aweinspiring, especially since they did it perfectly live as well. The dance was great, the clothes were good (but nothing too special) and the song in general was catchy, new and great! This has to be my favorite side and showed a more y-like feel. If I had to compare it, it'd be kinda like Run Devil Run by SNSD. This song completely saved them from Tilt My Head.
9/10 (I certianly like this song, and it's a great show of vocals)

Twinkle Twinkle: The music video, I admit, is funny and very cute. If your into the whole cute SNSD/Kara thing, you'll really like this. It's a cute song and good vocals (Sojin and Minah!) with a cute dance to match. I enjoy it and it's fun to dance/sing too haha, the lyrics are catchy too. It's a great comeback from Tilt My Head and a completely different theme from Nothing Lasts Forever.
7/10 (Girl's Day's big break song. It's attracted a lot of attention, but very girly. Good song and fun dance though)

Hug me Once: A bright lively tune that's pretty catchy. The music video, if your a guy, is worth getting jealous over (and Sojin's freaking adorable). The dance isn't much to pay attention to, but the song's great and the MV's pretty fun to watch. All in all, I'd have to say, I like it better then Twinkle Twinkle, as it still has the girlyness of it, but a little more meaningful. It's cute.
7/10 (again, it's cute and a good song! worth listening to)

Varierty Appearances: BE WARNED! I have only seen MBC's Bouquet/am watching it now, so they may have changed.
I'd have to say, their still quite weak on variety. Most of the members except for Sojin (Leader) and Minah (Main Vocals) are very quiet and don't contribute much to the shows. Hell, Sojin doesn't do that much except
1. Stop Minah from being to insane
2. Show imitations and other personal talents
3. Talk (cause, she's the leader)
Other than that, it's mostly Minah who takes the show (and the one who has the largest fanbase out of all the Girl's Day girls!)
However, they are rookies and only debuted for around a year and a half, so I'll give them credit that they ARE getting MUCH better from before. They are more active and fun, but still lingering behind the other groups. Minah though, is going to be the new Kkab Yul or female Jokwon.

Vocals: I'd have to say, they have two of the best singers in all of girl idols. Minah and Sojin are absolutely amazing with low voices (sorta husky) and a powerful voice. I personally prefer Sojin's vocals more, but whatever. The other girls are good singers too, and certainly help the group, but aren't as striking as the two I just mentioned. Overall their vocals are above average and if I had to compare, I'd say Minah and Sojin's voices are around Taeyeon or Luna?

Rapping: Ehhh, it's good. I like it, but it's like average. There's nothing eye popping about the rap or anything, but I like it.

Dance: Again, nothing jaw-dropping, but it's pretty good. It's cute and some of the choreography is very catching and addicting/easy to dance too (Twinkle Twinkle). The choreography fits well with the song.

Overall Ratings:

Vocals: 9/10 (strong, one of the best, though it's mostly on two/three memebrs)
Rap: 6/10 (again, it's average, nothing bad, nothing good. I like it)
Dance: 7.5/10 (Fits with song and it's good/catchy. One of the members are a great dancer too)
Concept: 6/10 (They change a lot from song to song. Girl's Day I'd have to say is a lot like T-ara)
Debut: 2/10 (ick, just terrible)
Live: 8/10 (they can sing and are good at it live. No big mistakes just yet)
Variety Skills: 4.5/10 (it's improving. Trust me)

Fav. Member: Sojin
Fav. Song: Nothing Lasts Forever

Gotta say, they are a lot like T-ara. Really bad debut reception from netizens, but they are constantly approving and getting better. Honestly, the songs are a lot of fun to sing since it's lower than some girl groups and it's very easy for me to reach the pitches (as I have a low voice for a girl). Girl's Day hwaiting! I'll keep watching!

Can you review groups that debuted like a long time ago?..And it has to be a girl group, right?
