Personality:

  Kyuchae is a naturally quiet girl. Although she's always surrounded by loud people (a.k.a. her friends) you will more often see her just observing people and being silent. When her friends or other people ask why she's so quiet she would just say that she's like this so that she could balance out the amount of loudness and quietness in the group. Being like this many people jump to the conclusion that she just doesn't have much to say, but it is actually the opposite. Being the kind of person that thinks a lot, Kyuchae actually has a lot of things to say but she would rather have other people state their opinions first(this is mostly in things like group discussions). One of the most successful ways to make Kyuchae talk is talking to her directly, but even if you talk to her directly she will reply with an answer, nothing more and nothing less, this part of Kyuchae makes a bit difficult for other people to talk to her and it also makes it seem like she is cold and arrogant. In reality Kyuchae just doesn't know what else to say because she can't express herself very well. But when Kyuchae voluntarily talks everyone in the room would listen because there is just a depth in her voice that's hard to describe and she has a calm and powerful voice. 

  She always has a mask of calmness around her and she always tries to make herself be calm as often as possible. This is due to the fact that she gets nervous easily but she always puts a calm front so that no one will found out. She finds that having a calm mind and being calm makes you think faster and be more in control of yourself than if your mind was always in a frenzy. Kyuchae is also a very considerate person, always thinking about and caring for other people before herself. Her friends even say that if Kyuchae was a guy then Kyuchae would be their ideal guy and they would totally date her.

  On the outside Kyuchae has the image of a very calm and silent girl, but when you really get to know her you may know that she can actually be dork. The closer you are to Kyuchae the dorkier she gets. There are moments that Kyuchae has that even if she's quiet her dorky side will make people love her even more. Although she's usually a very good listener, Kyuchae has a tendency to zone out especially when people run from topic to topic and Kyuchae will just be in her own little world. When someone finally gets her attention she would cutely say "Huh?" or "What?" which causes people to laugh at her but not in a mean way. Kyuchae's tendency of zoning out has been named by her friends as the "Kyuzodi" meaning the Kyuchae Zoning Out Disease and whenever Kyuchae and/or someone else zones out in a group conversation then one person from the group would jokingly say, "Oh no! It's the 'Kyuzodi' again!!" and they would continue teasing and joking.Kyuchae also has a 4-D ish side of her which you can see when you live with her everyday or when you see her when she thinks no one is looking. She may be cool and reserved most of the times but there are times when she does the most random things that you can't help but laugh. You could catch her making faces or practicing on making facial expressions in the bathroom while singing and dancing to a song. There are even times that when she finds something like a box or a basket, she would put it over her head for no apparent reason. There are also times where she would dance goofily and if she gets caught and sees you then she would immediately stop and act like she didn't do anything. These things always make people laugh especially since these actions contradict how Kyuchae is normally in public. On stage the quiet and reserved Kyuchae would disappear and a charismatic and confident Kyuchae would appear. Her voice and charisma would spread out towards the whole of the building and her dancing would just blow you away. Her charisma and confidence also goes when she is modeling and acting. 

 Kyuchae is also humble and always polite towards other people. She would always say 'please', 'thank you', or 'excuse me', and when other people are rude then Kyuchae would slowly get mad, she also gets mad if you hit her. She won't mind if it was an accident and you said 'sorry' or if it was an accident and you didn't notice that you hit her, but if it was an accident and you know that you hit her or if you intentionally hit her and it was not in a playful way then you better run away. She doesn't get mad easily. In fact it takes awhile for Kyuchae to get mad. Her temper is like a volcano, slowly growing but in control and when she has reached the top then she blows. If you hit make her mad then she'll usually get you back unless someone calms her down(usually someone close to her) or you do something to get back to her good side(giving her white chocolate usually works; the more the better).But when you really get Kyuchae mad then you will immediately be able to tell because she will clench her teeth, and when she talks she will speak in a small voice(she does this to control herself from shouting at the person she's mad at) but the pitch of her voice will go up as she starts talking and goes back down as she finishes her sentence. 

 Kyuchae is a very intelligent girl. Her mind is very logical and calculative which always helps her in decision making and in daily life. She was also always one of the top students in her class but unfortunately this intelligence doesn't help her in things involving romance. When it comes to romance, Kyuchae is the last person you should come to. She has no understanding of what liking or loving a person romantically is. She would have a book or her friends' first hand experience telling her what the signs of liking or loving someone this way is like but she still won't be able to comprehend it. She thinks that things like 'love at first sight' are complete lies. If you think you love someone at first sight then it's actually lust not love because you saw their face first. She believes in falling in love with a person with their personalities first and having a good-looking face is a plus. 

Trainee Life: 

 Kyuchae's trainee life was very hectic. With a part-time job at a cafe, being a trainee, model, and student I can't imagine how Kyuchae managed to make time for all of these activities, but Kyuchae did all of her responsibilities without complaint. When training  Kyuchae would always practice to the best of her abilities, procrastinating as little as possible. As a trainee Kyuchae had no friends especially since she became a target for bullying by some older trainees that looked down on Kyuchae because Taemin is her older brother and she can't possibly think that she can debut just because she's Taemin's sister, but Kyuchae just ignored them and did her best no matter what other people said. She was also able to ignore the bullies because Chanyeol protected her from the bullies and was able to befriend Kyuchae; soon Chanyeol became Kyuchae's best friend. 

Word got out about Kyuchae's hardworking actions(possibly Chanyeol) and other trainees, and idol sunbaes, slowly took notice and were being inspired by Kyuchae. Kyuchae started to become one of the other trainees' role models. One day some trainees told Kyuchae about how she was inspiring others to keep practicing and not give up no matter how much others put them down and how they looked up to her as a role model. Kyuchae was really surprised at this information and she became very happy and she started become more open to the other people in the company.

Background:

 

Kyuchae was born into a high middle class family as the youngest of two children. Growing up Kyuchae was always active, expressive, and up-beat. She would always be playing around with her friends and joking around whenever she can, she was the playful one in the family. Although she was very playful, she was also very mature for her age. She had to act mature especially since she and her brother, Taemin, were always pressured by their parents (mostly their dad) to work hard and stay tough and have a firm heart, because in the real world they needed toughness to survive and a firm heart to make firm decisions. 

Around the time when Kyuchae turned 10, her favorite grandparents died and Kyuchae started to became quieter and less bubbly until she became the quiet and reserved Kyuchae we know today. She didn't play around a lot anymore and started focusing most of her attention on her studies. Studying was what Kyuchae did for most of 2 years until Taemin started to cheer her up by teaching her to dance(Taemin was accepted as a trainee in SME at this time). As Taemin started teaching Kyuchae, Kyuchae started to become more alive. She found that she had a talent for dancing and soon started trying singing and rapping. In this time frame, Kyuchae found out that she had a passion for music like her brother. For years she practiced to become better in her dancing, singing, and rapping and her passion grew more. Her passion for music led her to want to become an idol like Taemin, who has already debuted in SHINee, and she wanted to get into SME so that she could also be in the same company as her brother, so she did. She was casted into SME as a trainee immediately after winning first place in the Everysing contest.

Fears:

Being in a room filled with dolls; When she was younger her family was visiting her cousins and one day the kids thought that they should watch a movie. The movie that they watched was the movie with the doll 'Chuckie' and her cousins played that movie over and over again which scarred Kyuchae for life. She got rid of her Barbie and Bratz dolls and stuck with stuffed animals for the rest of her life. 

 

Parents: 

Lee Changbok- 49- Business Man- father- He is caring towards Kyuchae and Taemin. He would cook for them whenever he has time and would help them whenever he can but he also believes in 'tough love'. He's always tough on Kyuchae and Taemin because he wants them to have a successful life. He is tough on Kyuchae especially towards her school because he knows that she is the smarter kid between Kyuchae and Taemin(Taemin admits it also) so he pressures her to always do her best. He was against Kyuchae being a trainee but soon came to compromise when Kyuchae said that he always told her to do her best in whatever she does and singing is what Kyuchae wants to do. 

Park Sungbyul- 47- Nurse- mother- Kind, caring, and supportive. She's always supporting her children in whatever they do because she puts a lot of faith in her children. Both Taemin and Kyuchae are closer with their mother because she's softer on them and she shows more affection towards them.

Siblings:

Lee Taemin- 19- Member of SHINee- protective older brother- They are really close. Kyuchae always knows what's bothering Taemin but Taemin always has a hard time being there for Kyuchae especially now that he's an idol and also because Kyuchae always hides her feelings even around her family, so Taemin can't decipher her feelings. There are also times when they bicker and fight, one of their most visited topics is that Kyuchae thinks that Taemin is always too overprotective with her that she can't hang out with her friends and guy-friends normally since Kyuchae always sees Taemin stalking them whenever he has enough time to.

 

Friends:

Krystal-17-Member of F(x)- The charismatic friend-Krystal is a very confident person. She is detail oriented and puts in a lot of effort in the things she does. She is also great in creating and keeping relationships because she is sensitive to her own thoughts and is thoughtful and caring towards others.

How you guys met:

Kyuchae was in one of the hallways of SME waiting for Taemin to finish recording for their 2nd min-album because Taemin promised to take her out to eat with the other SHINee members. Taemin was taking awhile so Kyuchae started dancing and rapping to pass the time. Some of the other trainees that disliked Kyuchae saw her and went up to her and started to pushing her around. Luckily Krystal, who was still a trainee at that time, heard the bullies and went to the source of their voices. She soon saw Kyuchae being pushed around and fighting back at the bullies and Krystal went up to the bullies and told them off saying, "You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. If this is how you'll act when you debut, if you even debut, 'cuz with attitudes like that then you will fail in no time no matter how much you hide it." This scared the bullies so much thinking that they won't be able to debut that they literally ran away. Krystal turned to Kyuchae, "Hi Jung Soojung-imnida."

"Lee Kyuchae-imnida. Thanks for helping me out."

And that was the start of their relationship

 

 

Key-21-Member of SHINee- The fashion and relationship tipper- To put Key's personality into two words the words that you'll come up with is 'social butterfly'. Key is always talking to someone or meeting someone new. He even has the most celebrity phone numbers in the group! He is also honest and he doesn't want to feel that being famous makes him different than when he wasn't. He doesn't want his personality to change just because he became more well known. He always takes care of other people in his own way, meaning nag, nag, nag. He's a very open person but he can get hurt easily and he also holds grudges. He also very intelligent and sharp tongued and he isn't afraid to tell you his thoughts.

How you guys met:

Taemin introduced Kyuchae as his sister as soon as SHINee calmed down their promotions from their debut. The other members were very surprised to find out that Taemin had a sister because he was always acting like a kid. Key naturally, as the social butterfly, went to Kyuchae and started talking to her and ,to Taemin's surprise, Kyuchae answered without pause. Taemin cut into their conversation asking why Kyuchae didn't seem to hesitate in answering Key back, Kyuchae just replied, "He seemed really really friendly."

 

Kyuchae was practicing her rapping one of the hallways in SME and had a little trouble because it was style that she was rarely exposed to. Amber was walking to the recording room that day and came across Kyuchae. Amber heard Kyuchae struggling and stood back at a distance observing if Kyuchae was going to get the style of the rap until Amber grew tired of waiting. Amber went to Kyuchae feeling that she's been trying so hard without asking for help and Amber slowly explained and taught Kyuchae how the style worked and soon Kyuchae was able to get it. Amber left Kyuchae to keep practicing afterwards.

 

Best Friend(s):

Kai-18-Member of EXO-K - Childhood Friend - Kai at first look is quiet, calm, cool, and charismatic(kind of like Kyuchae :P). He likes to act bossy sometimes, and it works, but then in the end he keeps ending up as a dorky guy, although he can be a flirt at times which would never make you think of the dorky guy underneath. He also has a naturally warm hearted personality and he wants to treat everyone well, but he just feels awkward showing his feelings towards other people.

How you guys met:

Kyuchae was sitting outside a cafe reading and waiting for Taemin to finish ordering drinks when suddenly a random tanned guy, who was previously walking on the streets, spots her and starts talking and flirting with her. Kyuchae was just about to tell the guy off until Taemin burst out of the cafe holding his and Kyuchae's drinks, yelling, "KIM JONGIN  WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING WITH MY SISTER!!", making a totally huge scene which Kyuchae didn't mind until she saw other people staring at them. The person called Kim Jongin happily runs to Taemin and pats him in the back saying, "Hey Taemin hyung," oblivious to the fact that Taemin just yelled at him. Taemin just stares at him with a red ears looking like smoke will come out of his ears soon, "What were you just doing?!"

Kim Jongin:"Oh hey hyung." *still happy and smiling* "Do you see that chick sitting over there?" *points at Kyuchae* "Isn't she hot? I think she's a total catch."

Taemin: *still mad; walks toward Kyuchae* "This chick, Jongin, happens to be my SISTER!!!!" Jongin shrinks back as Taemin yells at him. *faces Kyuchae* "Chae-chae," *sighs* "this is the friend that I was talking to you about," *points at Jongin.

Kyuchae: "Oooohhh....awkward." *sips her drink and continues reading her book*

 

Chanyeol- 20- Member of EXO-K -Best Guy Friend- Chanyeol's the mood maker, he's always the bright and lively in the room. Kyuchae and Chanyeol got into SME at around the same time. At the first time that both of them were supposed to be introduced to the start of their trainee lives, Chanyeol got unbelievably lost trying to look for the trainer's office; luckily Chanyeol found Kyuchae and asked her for directions. Kyuchae told Chanyeol that she was going that same way and to just follow her, Chanyeol followed.

How you two act around each other: Chanyeol is always protecting Kyuchae without her knowing and they would always tease and joke around with each other. Chanyeol and Kyuchae are always together whenever they can, and this in turn makes many people think that they're a couple. Kyuchae sometimes likes to play along with this idea and gets playful and flirty. Chanyeol would suddenly become a bit shy and have a loss of words until Kyuchae would start teasing him and say that he's blushing or something.

Kyuchae and Chanyeol got into SME at around the same time. At the first time that both of them were supposed to be introduced to the start of their trainee lives, Chanyeol got unbelievably lost trying to look for the trainer's office; luckily Chanyeol found Kyuchae and asked her for directions. Kyuchae told Chanyeol that she was going that same way and to just follow her, Chanyeol followed.

Personality:

Jongup is a shy person but that's just where it starts. He's also very caring and thoughtful but he could also be the 'Joker' in the group. He always looks out for other people and is always sweet even though is shy and gets awkward with people sometimes.

How you two act around each other: At first Jongup and Kyuchae were awkward around each other because of what happened in the first time they met, but soon they got closer as they found that they both loved music. They are always sharing new dancing styles and always pushing to make the other person improve in dancing. Jongup is always trying to do something funny around Kyuchae, but in the end he sometimes fails which makes Kyuchae laugh, but Jongup wouldn't care because he made Kyuchae laugh. Kyuchae is always taking of Jongup because she treats him like a little brother, especially since she's never had a younger brother.

Kyuchae was just walking home from shopping when she was suddenly pulled into an alleyway by a random person. That person, wearing sunglasses, a mask, and a hoodie, pushed Kyuchae onto a wall and put his arms beside her head. Kyuchae looked up at the stranger and say, "What do you think you're doing!" when the stranger put his hand on Kyuchae's mouth making her words sound like, "What huuuu hyyuuu ffhfhfhhhinkk hhhyyuuur hhuuuiiiinnggg!". Kyuchae then had enough and stepped on the stranger's foot. HARD. The stranger's sunglasses dropped and then he gave a silent groan, but as Kyuchae turned to leave, the stranger quickly grabbed her wrist and pulled her back to the wall as soon as screams were heard in the vicinity. "JONGUP OPPA!!!!!" Kyuchae started to punch the stranger until the stranger pulled his mask down begging, "Please, please, just stay here and help me out until those screams die out." Kyuchae heard the sincerety in his voice and that he really needed help and stayed on the wall.

"JONGUP OPPA!!! EODISSEO!!!"

"You girls go that way, we'll go this way. We might be able to find him faster this way."

"NE!" footsteps ran all-over the street until they weren't heard by Kyuchae or the stranger anymore.

The stranger then stood up straight and brushed his clothes, "I'm terribly sorry about that. It's just that... I thought that I was dead meat back there. My name's Jongup by the way."

Kyuchae looked at Jongup and then his hand and back skeptically, "I'm sorry but, I didn't ask." Kyuchae turned to walk away only to turn back, "Those girls were chasing you weren't they."

Jongup nods

"You didn't cheat on all of them and break their hearts or anything did you?"

"Do I look like that kind of person?!" Jongup replies.

"Just checking" and Kyuchae walks away.

Jongup shouts at Kyuchae's retreating back, "Do you not recognize me?"

Kyuchae responds without looking back, "Should I?" and she keeps walking

How were you discovered?: She was helping her friend in her friend's family-ran cafe and there was a band playing in the cafe that day. The main singer got sick that day and her friend volunteered Kyuchae to sub in as a singer for the band. Kyuchae resisted at first but gave in at the end. Fortunately she knew the lyrics to the songs that the band was playing; and she sang and rapped with the band. The costumers were surprised by the amount of charisma that came out from the normally quiet waitress and got caught in the music. Fortunately for Kyuchae, one of the costumers was a SME scout and the scout became interested in Kyuchae; She was casted into SME

you- Haha, truthfully I would be the person beside them trying to awkwardly comfort them, I'm not very good at things like that, but if I'm not then I would be running to get the first aid kit. If the injury was serious then I would call the hospital ASAP.
