[SPOILER] TVXQ plays a part in bringing together a couple on ‘Reply 1997′?

Thanks to TVXQYoon Tae Woong (played by Song Jong Ho) and his doctor (After School‘s Jooyeon) reunited unexpectedly on the final episode of ‘Reply 1997‘.

On a day just like any other, Tae Woong went to a TVXQ concert as he had promised his assistant professors. After receiving a favor from one of his four TVXQ-crazed co-workers, he waited to deliver concert tickets to the Gyeonggi Province Cassiopeia representative.

After receiving a call from the representative and meeting up at a nearby restaurant, the person who claimed to be the Gyeonggido Cassiopeia representative was revealed to be none other than the doctor who had performed his surgery a while back.

During their meeting, Yoon Tae Woong stated, “I have an undeniable bond with groupies.” In another part of the conversation, the doctor expressed, “I was originally a Shinhwa fan. I was one of the first Shinhwa Changjo members, but now I like TVXQ.”

Eventually, the two get engaged and reveal their good news to Tae Woong’s brother Yunjae (Seo In Guk) and soon-to-be sister-in-law Siwon (A Pink‘s Eunji).

Towards the end of the drama, during the scene of the Busan high-school reunion where everyone seemed to think Tae Woong’s fiancee was in Japan for a seminar, Tae Woong seems uneasy about the subject. It was later revealed that his wife-to-be was not in Japan for a seminar, but to attend the TVXQ concert in Japan. Not only this, but she had also been promoted to president of the Cassiopeia fan club.

After hearing the news, Yunjae empathized with his older brother having to deal with a boy band loving fiancee, while Siwon was in awe of the ‘achievement’ and even stated that a ‘great figure’ had come into the family.
