I doubt many people will actually read this, but I’m going to post it anyway x) Here’s the recap of my experience at SHINee World II in Taipei ^^ Oh, I didn’t take any pictures of the actual concert/performances (too excited and spazzy to do that xD and plus, I figured there’d be official fanclubs that will capture much clearer and better quality photos), just some before it started~ (though they all pretty much look the same xD)

So I, along with my wonderful mother who agreed to accompany me because I have no Shawol friends, arrived at about 1pm (the concert started at 3) and it was already packed outside. Everyone was selling and buying all this merch and other stuff. My mum only let me buy light sticks -___- Hmph. I wanted a T-shirt or something T___T

Anyway, I was surprised to find that our seats were actually closer to the stage than I thought, and the view we got wasn’t bad at all :D

There were little banners and coloured cardboard on our seats for these support project thingys the official fanclub people had prepared, and they gave out pearl aqua (IS IT PEARLESCENT SKY BLUE OR PEARLESCENT AQUA? GAWD) ribbon thingys that we would use later~ :3 (I’ll talk about them later on) So much stuff to hold xD

So everyone was all chatty and normal, then suddenly the lights dimmed and “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!” OMG, MY EARS. MY POOR, POOR, POOR EARS XD (I’ve always had sensitive ears, so this was a lot for them to handle xD) Amidst the screaming, I do recall my mum complaining that she was going deaf XDDD

I’ve always wondered why people scream during VCRs, since it’s not even the real people, but I found myself screaming along just as loudly with them xD THEN SHINEE CAME OUT IN A SPACESHIP THINGY OMG IT WAS SHINEE, THE ACTUAL SHINEE, OMG A;KJFH;ASJFH;ASKDJFH;ASFHA;SDKJ. I still remember that momentary skip of my heart and stomach flip when Onew started his first note for Lucifer, which they opened with adsjfha;sdjfha;sjfha;sjdfas. NEVER BEEN MORE A;SKDFH;ASDH;ADSH;FASH;FKJHWEDB;KFAHBEQ;KFHQW;EKFHA;SDFB;AKJDSHF;AKSHF;AHF;ADS IN MY LIFE.

I had originally planned on saying a little something on every song/performance, but that would seriously take too long, and being the waffling and digressing rambler I am, especially when it comes to SHINee, I’ll just limit it down to the members and some highlights ^^

Jonghyun, my beautiful husband bias… Seriously, during the concert, I was officially met with a whole new definition of the term “main vocalist”. As of recently, I had been a paranoid Blinger and worried about Jjong overworking and straining his voice so much that he might lose that God-given gift of his, but his singing was no joke… he was BEYOND AMAZING. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a more powerful voice in my life. I swear, his voice is just this blessed instrument bestowed upon him by angels in Heaven. And boy, does he know how to use it. It felt like his voice was going to burst out of the arena and explode outside… it’s just so clear and bright and resonant and bell-like and it rings out so beautifully and a;sdjfha;skjdh;adshf;ajsd. My heart flipped a bit before he did every major high note, because I was nervous and worried that he might crack his voice or not be able to reach because they’re so tired and overworked, but each and every single time, he hit it SPOT-ON. MY HEART CANNOT TAKE SO MUCH WONDERFULNESS. OMG. KIM JONGHYUN, JUST MARRY ME ALREADY. <3333333333333333333333333333333 Oh wait, we’re already married 8D /shot. No, but seriously, this boy really lives up to his reputation as one of, if not THE, top vocalists in K-pop. He’s a natural-born performer and he rocks that stage ;___; <3 I didn’t think he could go up any further on my bias list (since he is first already), but up and up and up he went… how is that even possible .___.

Key is a REALLY stable live singer. I’ve always thought of him as “a pretty good singer”, just not AMAAAAAAZING. But he proved me wrong, too. ASLDKFHA;SDJFHA;SFH;ASKDH. He’s an amazing singer. And a breath-taking performer. He can really connect with his audience, and he exudes this wonderful charisma and aura of utmost confidence and has a crazily attention-demanding stage-presence ;___; <3 He just struts around like he owns the place, and you can’t help but have your eyes glued to him <3 His dancing is ASTOUNDING, and his solo was one of the highlights of the night :O I never fail to ALSDKFHA;SDKH;AJDSH;ADSH;J whenever they do “Stranger”; Key is just PERFECTION AT ITS FINEST during performances of that song ;___; Not that he isn’t normally ;___; But I’m just saying ;___; Keyyyyyy <333333333333333 He looked pretty much the same as I’d seen in pictures; not much difference :3 Oh, and it seemed that Key was REALLY popular xD It felt like every second or third fan I saw was a Locket xD Popular boy <3

Minho really surprised me. THE BOY CAN REALLY SING. AND DANCE, TOO. I had always loved and adored Minho before today, but I did sometimes like to have a little fun teasing his slightly “inferior” singing ability (Friendly teasing! I love Minho, I swear! :O). I take that all back, and I sincerely apologise, Choi Minho. HE CAN SING, OMG. Sure, he’s no Jonghyun or Onew, but he exceeded my expectations beyond what I thought was possible. His solo was probably one of my mum’s favourite performances of the night (and not just because she’s Minho-biased)~ It was pulled off SPLENDIDLY, and he really showcased how fantastic of a performer he is; you could really see how much he was enjoying himself up there. He really knows how to interact with the audience, too. It seemed that he was the most “high” and “into it” during the concert, and waved and got the audience members to be “high” with him the most~ ^^ He arrived later than the rest of SHINee because of his drama, so he’d literally be the most tired and exhausted member. Yet he never looked “lacking” or “slacking off” once during the concert; he gave it his all from start to finish. And he just came off as such a sincere and genuine person ;___; Minho just shot up my bias list. Not even kidding. Minhohohohohoho ;________; <33333333333

Taemin… His singing really has improved TREMENDOUSLY. I had always said that Taemin has a nice and pretty voice, but he doesn’t use it to its full potential and tends to sound withdrawn and “lacking in confidence” with his singing, since he was always a bit on the quiet/soft side when he sang… but his voice was so powerful during the concert. He actually sang really loudly and confidently ;___; He projected that beautiful voice of his AMAZINGLY! I think Immortal Song 2 did the kid some good ^^ Good job, Taeminnie ^^ <3333333333 Needless to point out that his dancing was AS;DJFA;SHDJFHA;SJFHA;SJDDKSJAFHKSAJFH;AKDH;ASJ. As for audience interaction… I don’t know… He was just being his usual cute self most of the time, though my mum said (and I kinda agreed) that he didn’t really connect with his audience as much as others, especially Minho, did, and seemed a teeny weeny bit… “distant”? >.< Though I do remember him coming to our side of the audience seating and, instead of waving and jumping and “getting everyone hyped up”, simply stood and smiled and stared at us with his “^^” face. MY GOSH IT WAS THE MOST ADORABLE THING EVER ASDLKFAHSD;KFHA;SD XD And, of course, he never gets away without being teased by his hyungs a little during the talking segments x)

As for Onew… seriously, pictures don’t do him any justice AT ALL. He was absolutely GORGEOUS and HANDSOME and “DASHING” in person. And, not to mention, absolutely ADORABLE. Even my mum, who always liked to annoy me by saying how much she doesn’t find Onew good-looking, admitted that he was quite attractive in person ^___^ I’m so glad they got rid of his long and curly parted-down-the-middle-shaggy-lion-mane hair :S And I swear, this boy’s smile can work wonders. Seriously, his smile has got to be one of the most beautiful things I have ever laid my eyes on. He just has to turn around and flash a smile to send half the arena over the edge xD HE’S SUCH A LOVEABLE LITTLE BALL OF SUNSHINE A;SDJFHA;SDKJFHA;SKDHF;ASHF;ASJ. And his singing… I feel like saying that CD recordings don’t do him justice, either a;sdfh;ash;ajsd. His voice was also BEYOND AMAZING. I feel bad that he always gets… well, kind of “overshadowed” by Jjongie. His voice is just as A;DSKJFH;ASJDHF;AKSDHF;KASDHFB;KQWHEPFQIOEFH;AKH;AKSDHF;. ONEW’S SINGING OMG. HE’S JUST AS AMAZING. WHY HE NO GET MORE LINES LATELY. HIS VOICE IS NO JOKE. OMG NOTHING DOES ONEW ANY JUSTICE. ONEW ;________; But “Onew Condition” really does seem to be exactly as people describe it xD Every time they jumped or something, my heart skipped a beat and I immediately focused on Onew to make sure he didn’t fall over >.< When they were splashing in the water thing, it seemed that he actually slipped a tiny bit >.< BUT ONEW WHY YOU SO PERFECT FOR. HE SHOT UP MY BIAS LIST THE MOST. THE BOY IS PERFECT. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. DUBU LEADER <333333333333

Other highlights and things worth talking about (for me/in my opinion xD):

-         The fanchants. THE FANCHANTS WERE SO LOUD AND SO WONDERFUL AND SO POWERFUL AND SO BEAUTIFUL. SUCH AN UNFORGETTABLE AND EMOTIONAL MEMORY, TO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO BE A PART OF IT.

-         JONGHYUN FLYING UP WITH ANGEL WINGS DURING JULIETTE AND BELTING OUT HIS HIGH NOTE PERFECTLY. OMG. A;SDKLFAH;SDFH;ASK;KSDH;FAJDSH;FKASHDGF;KUAHYF;AUSH;FKADSH;JAF. *__________*

-         Taeminnie didn’t say “f***” during his solo xD He just went, “Shut the” – pause – “up, get up!” xD

-         KEY’S ENGLISH IS SO Y. I NEVER KNEW ENGLISH COULD BE THIS Y. OMG HIS SOLO A;SDJFHA;SKDFH;ASFH;AJS. SUCH A DIVA. AN EXTREMELY Y ONE AT THAT.

-         THE INTERNET WAR PERFORMANCE. I WAS PRACTICALLY FALLING OUT OF MY CHAIR WHEN JJONG CAME UP THE STAGE TOPLESS WITH HANDCUFFS. BUT THEN HE PUT A TOP ON. AND HE WAS MEANT TO TAKE IT OFF AGAIN BEFORE THE “INTERACTION” WITH TAEMIN. AND HE DIDN’T TAKE IT OFF. THEY DID THAT PART WITH HIM NOT TOPLESS. KIM JONGHYUN, Y U NO TOPLESS. WHYYYYYYYYYY. /biggest disappointment of the night (I SOUND LIKE SUCH A SHALLOW FANGIRL RIGHT NOW AHAHAHAHAHAHA /has no regrets /is shameless 8D). Another thing worth pointing out during the performance was that half of (or was it the whole thing?) Jjongie’s handcuffs flew off while he was jumping around near my side of the stage. I actually felt panic for him when I saw the metal flying away xD But the perfect boy was so professional and showed no sign of panic at all and just continued being the y beast he always is during this performance ;___; Though it was ADORABLE to watch clueless Taeminnie reach out his hand for his hyung to put the handcuff on at the end, only to find that there was nothing LOL xDDD

-         “Seesaw” ;___; That is all.

-         The of the concert had to be during “Sherlock”. The VCR had an image of SHINee’s Sherlock photo in a magnifying glass with the words “Missing SHINee” or something, and people were already screaming xD THE FANCHANTS WERE CRAZY. THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE SINGING/SHOUTING/SCREAMING/SHRIEKING/SCREECHING “OH, I’M CURIOUS, YEAHHHHH~” HAD TO BE THE MOST PHENOMENALLY AMAZING THING EVER. I screamed “SOY UN DORITO!”, but I don’t think Taiwanese people really know that little joke, so no fun on that one .___.

-         ONEW AND JONGHYUN’S HIGH NOTES DURING “THE REASON”. Onew’s one was so heavenly and pleasant yet so powerful and long ;___; <3 I nearly stopped breathing ;_____; And I thought they’d just play Jjong’s high note after that with the recording, since it was pretty high, BUT OMG HE SANG IT LIVE. AND IT WAS PERFECT. I NEARLY FELL OUT OF MY CHAIR AGAIN. JJONGIEEEE, YOU TALENTED PIECE OF PERFECTION ;___; <33333333333

-         I teared up during “Amazing Grace” ;___; It was one of the performances I was looking forward to the most, and it was just so, so, so, so, so beautiful… ;___; I knew I would tear up. I teared up from watching fancams of it lol. Again, I think Onew and Jonghyun’s voices are seriously those of angels… They sounded so different though they sang the same thing, but both “versions” were just too beautiful beyond words ;___; ONEW’S FALSETTO <3 THE WHOLE THING WAS JUST SO HEAVENLY AND ETHEREAL… I CAN’T ;_____;

-         Jjong’s performance of “Y Si Fuera Ella” had to be one of my favourite performances of the night ;________; It was just heart-wrenching and tear-wringing to watch… The amount of passion and emotion that the boy managed to convey whilst performing so powerfully was just beyond what words could describe. I CAN’T. I CAN’T, OKAY? ;____________; AND THE SCREAM. AND THE BLOOD. AND THE WATER. AND THE PETALS. AND HIM. EVERYTHINGGGG A;LSDJFH;ASDJFH;ASH;AKSJDH;FKASHD;KFAHS;FHASD;JFHAS;KDFHA; *_____________* <33333333333333 He looked like he could really do with a hug… /volunteers self (more like “flings self to him”…)

-         If we were told to fill out survey and reflection forms like in school and stuff, I would put something in the “needs improvement” section: the paper money. You guys know how they throw the fake paper money with their faces on them during “Tie A Yellow Ribbon”? Yeah, well… it’s really cute, don’t get me wrong, but I just found it… pointless xD I mean, it was PAPER. So, dear Onew, no matter how hard you fling your arm and try to look like a baseball player… the money isn’t going to reach the audience area or get very far >.< Even the VERY FIRST ROW in the standing area hardly got hold of any. I mean… whose bright idea was it to have the performers throw pieces of PAPER over long distances? xDDD But the performance itself was adorable and entertaining enough ^^ <3

-         We all had to hold up a black banner (prepared for us already and placed on our seat) that said something like “Always by your side”, apparently (me no understand the Korean words on it). It was touching to see everyone in the arena holding it up at the same time, but because it was black, it wasn’t really clear >.<

-         “Stranger”. Again, that is all. ;___; THE JONGKEY MOMENT AT THE START WHEN KEY SINGS HIS FIRST LINE AND LEANS IN REALLY CLOSE TO JJONG OMG IT’S SO Y AND INTENSE AL;SDHF;AJ JUST KISS ALREADY, YOU TWO.

-         There was a point in “Ready or Not” when I seriously felt like my heart would burst out of my chest. You guys know how they spin around in circles during the chorus? After the chorus, Jonghyun started swaying and staggering around (I don’t know if that was what he was meant to do to add to the “cuteness” or “fun” or something), and at one point it seriously looked as though he was going to topple off that stage. My heart literally nearly stopped. Thank God he was fine ;_____;

-         I personally didn’t really like the “hard rock remix version” of Ring Ding Dong… that was always one of my favourite SHINee songs, but it was just “rocked up” so much that I could hardly recognize it during some parts >.< Personally never been a big fan of hard rock/metal/screaming, so that should explain why I wasn’t that fond of it xD BUT OMG JJONGIE STRIPPED OFF HIS JACKET RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR SIDE OF THE STAGE A;SDJFHA;SDKJFH;ASDJFHA;SD

-         I cried during the part before “The Name I Loved” where they played the VCR of their debut times with their voice-overs narrating these really touching messages ;___; I remember panicking the night before, because, amidst my hectic uni schedule, I had forgotten to learn how to sing “The Name I Loved” for the concert, since everyone sings along with it. But, somehow, the lyrics miraculously came xD Again, it had to be one of the most beautiful performances of the night ;___; (I seriously overuse the word “beautiful” >.<) You could really feel the connection between SHINee and the Shawols ;___; <333333333

-         During Bodyguard, people in designated seating areas held up the coloured pieces of cardboard (either white or red), to spell out “SW ♥ 샤이니” (red letters over white background). And, I must say, it looked ABSOLUTELY BREATH-TAKING. Our side held up the parts that spelled “SW” (my cardboard was red), so I couldn’t see ours, but from what I saw on the opposite side (the"샤이니"), it really did look magnificent. The boys were so excited to see it xD I remember them reading it and trying to figure out what it said, upon realizing that it was more than just the big red heart directly in front of them in the middle xD They were all like “S…” “SHINee…” “SW…” until Taeminnie finally went, “AH! SW LOVE SHINEE!” NAWWWWWWWWWW XD The screams that followed were deafening… xD And Jjongie exclaiming, “The surprises today are even different from the surprises yesterday!” OMG HE’S SUCH A KID ASDKUFHA;SD;JASH <333333333333

-         At the end of “Life”, which was the last performance of the night, we all had to throw the pearlescent sky blue ribbons~ They were like those thin, rolled-up party streamer things, and everyone wrapped it once around their hand and released the roll into the front all at the same time (during Jjong’s last note in the song). The result was, again, COMPLETELY, UTTERLY, ABSOLUTELY, BREATH-TAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL. What you see is all these long ribbons of pearl aqua spilling and streaming out into rows and waves… Words cannot describe the beauty of it ;___; Seriously, the people (noonas?) who organized these things really put a lot of thought and effort into it~ Poor Jjongie was complaining that he had his eyes closed while singing that last note, so when he opened it, he had missed that one perfect moment when the ribbons spilled out xD He was all like, “WHY DID I SING WITH MY EYES CLOSED? D:” NAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. COME TO MY HOUSE, JJONGIE. WE CAN THROW RIBBONS TOGETHER ALL DAY.

-         Some lucky fans got the bottle caps that Jjong opened with his mouth xD I’m pretty sure most Shawols have seen fancams or gifs of it, how he opens the cap with his mouth, then “shoots” it into the audience area with his mouth and gives himself a little “shower” while the fans freak out and snatch crazily at that little plastic lid as though their life depends on it xD Well, I might’ve done the same thing if I was in that standing area xDDD

-         Jjongie took photos with his phoneeeee~~~ HE’S SO CUTE OMG. And he posed with peace signs while Key took pictures of him with the Shawols in the background <3 He took so many lol xD And, just as I said to my mum, one of the photos was on Twitter by the time I got on the computer that night xDDDDD

-         It seemed that there were JongKey and 2min moments scattered around whenever they could manage to sneak some skinship with each other during the more light-hearted songs x) But Onew ;___; I’ll give you a hug! D: There was also a lot of JongHo xDDD GAWD I LOVE THOSE TWO. THEIR ENDLESS BICKERING NEVER CEASES TO AMUSE ME.

So that’s pretty much all I’m going to write about before I get too carried away (I already have xD)… This is such a long and incoherent record of my jumbled words of fangirling xD Sorry for the slightly Jonghyun-biased voice of narration… 8D Anyone who bothered to read it all would have to either be a pretty dedicated Shawol or pretty bored or just loves me a lot MUAHAHA…

But seriously, this concert proved something to me: SHINee literally DOES NOT DISAPPOINT and they are literally “never gonna let you down”. They deliver everything almost (since no one can be perfect) FLAWLESSLY. The fact that their dancing is phenomenal is already a given/known fact that I shouldn’t need to point out (actually, I will: ALDSKJFH;ASKJDFH;AJDSH;FAIWHEK;QUWH;FKAS OMG SHINEE’S SO GOOD AT DANCINGGGG), but their live singing was what really blew me away. I often thought they were lip-synching, like many people do when watching SHINee perform, because it always sounds perfect, like the CD recording. I then hear one tiny little slip that shows that they’re human or slight falter in pitch or a little breathing hitch and go “OMG IT’S ACTUALLY LIVE.” Jonghyun and Onew are crazy powerhouses with their amazing, mind-boggling, miracle-like voices. Key cannot be underestimated, either, and Taemin’s improvement… you’d have to be slightly out of your mind to deny the fact that his improvement has been incredible. As for Minho... well, any person who dares to come up to me and tell me that he’s “the useless member of SHINee”… beware of my wrath, lol. Not just because I’m a Shawol who defends him because I “just do”, but because I have now witnessed first-hand evidence that the boy is a STAR.

SHINEE ARE ALL STARS. THEIR PERFORMING ABILITY AND STAGE-PRESENCE ARE JUST… “amazing” and “phenomenal” are understatements, really. They’re definitely one of the top K-pop acts currently around, talent-wise, and aren’t simply a group of good-looking young guys trying to make a mark in the overpopulated K-pop industry. Well, in my opinion, at least; though I’m sure a lot of people who aren’t even Shawols agree with me. They’re a group of pure and utter talent. The concert and their performances were so amazing that someone who isn’t even a Shawol or K-pop fan would have been able to enjoy it from the moment their spaceship landed to the point when Minho finally disappeared offstage after reappearing for one final, quick wave upon the conclusion of the concert.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so “high” in my life xD I didn’t even realise that I sang and screamed my way through the whole concert. You can’t even hear yourself, anyway T___T I don’t even know all the lyrics to their songs, but seriously, they just MIRACULOUSLY CAME. I DON’T EVEN KNOW HOW. SHINEE HAS MAGIC, OKAY? They all shot up even more on my bias list, though they already hogged the top 5 positions, anyway xD
