HyunJung has little confidence of herself. She always thinks that there are way a lot of people who is better than her in many ways and she thinks that she cannot do well in anything. Even when her brother praised her, she thinks that he was just comforting her and giving her encouragement. However, she was proven wrong when she got accepted as a trainee. People praises her for her great vocal skills and that she is a fast learner. She is praised on many things she does.

HyunJung was a lovable and hyper girl before her brother left her. She always had a secret dream of becoming a successful singer. However, her dream came crashing down on her after her brother suddenly told her that he would be going to overseas for his studies for a long period of time. She was really close to her brother. He was the only one who would have time for her and give advice on everything that she decided to do as her parents were both too busy with their work and totally had no time for the two of them. Her brother might have objected some of her decisions, but will still support her if she insisted on doing something. So, after her brother left, she felt lost and she began to distant herself from the others. All she ever did after that was to study and she was always drowned in her own world of studying in hopes to obtain good results to gain herself a scholarship to study overseas like her brother so that she can see him again. Her dream of becoming a singer was then pushed to the back of her head when studies became her priority. She did not like people to disturb her when she was studying as she was afraid that she might lose focus. HyunJung does not like arguments and will always avoid getting into one. She does not take the initiative to talk to others anymore unless the others started a conversation with her. She wanted badly to go back to the sociable and friendly HyunJung she once was; someone whom had a jovial character; who smiles always despite her problems; and someone whom people liked to hang out with.

HyunJung is kind and forgiving. She will not take things to heart and she will forgive and forget people's mistake easily, even if she might not like their actions. She does not hate, she just dislike how people always treat her badly just because she likes to be by herself. Due to her cold attitude, she does not have many friends. Despite being a girl who likes to be alone, she will try her best to help when others need it. She does not hesitate to give advice to others when they have a problem, so people like to go to her when they need some good words of advice. You can say that she is a really reliable person when it comes to keeping secrets. Due to these, She gained herself quite a number of friends, though not many. Now, she is trying to slowly open up to some of the people around her. She is trying her best to change her attitude and return to the old HyunJung, despite facing many difficulties as many people are already used to her cold attitude. She likes to go to the airport when she has free time as she can find many different kinds of people there; people of different nationalities, races and ages. One of the things she likes to do is observe people. She finds it interesting when observing people. From their appearance, to their actions, she is amused by all different kinds of people she can find there. Sometimes, she will also try to guess what those people are thinking. HyunJung also thinks that airport is a good place to capture nice photographs. People's tears of sadness due to separation and tears of joy due to reunions are worth for good photos. HyunJung writes songs as her hobby. She enjoys writing songs as she can express herself freely in there. She usually writes about her own experiences and feelings about her surroundings. Her dreams: 

HyunJung loves to sing, and since young, she has always had this secret dream of becoming a singer one day. She wants to stand proud and sing in front of the whole world. She always practises her singing alone at home, not wanting to let the others hear her, as she is not really confident with her voice and feels that she is not good enough even though her brother praised her voice many times, which he really means it. So, she only dared to dream of her dream and did not take actions to achieve it.

Background/History: 

HyunJung was born on the 6th of November in 1994, with an older brother, Park WooJin. Although their parents were not by their side every single day just like other parents would do due to their work, the siblings were contented with what they have. They were happy that they are healthy and living together even though most of the times there were only two of them. They had no worries as long as they are together.

However, her world crushed down hard on her when she found out that her brother is leaving her to go overseas. At that time, she was only 14, she felt like she was being left alone all by herself as she will have no one to stand by her anymore. Her parents are always busy working and have no time for her, even if they are at home, all they would talk about is her studies, their work, and how they are sorry that they could not fork out time for the siblings.

When HyunJung was young, she used to listen to mostly English songs. But when she randomly flipped the Television one day and came upon K-POP, she got hooked up by the catchy rhythms and lyrics. At that time, she took notice of 2 successful artists, the Kings of K-POP, Super Junior, and Queen of K-POP, BoA. She felt that her chances of achieving her dream increased as K-POP is slowly getting known to people from all over the world. Her hopes of getting into the singing industry got higher and she started to prepare herself --- practise her singing in front of her mirror everyday and try to sing in front of others. But, she slowly forgot her dream when her studies became her priority. One night, when HyunJung was listening to BoA's 'Hope' playing on her Ipod while doing her homework, she suddenly remembered her dream that only she, herself knows, not even her brother. She saw an SM Audition poster posted on a bulletin board at a bus-stop near her house that afternoon when she came home from school. She wanted to go for the audition, that was on for the past two days. However, she also wanted to get her scholarship to study overseas. As the next day will be the last day of audition, she could not sleep the whole night. Her mind was battling with her heart, weighing the pros and cons. Finally, her heart won, and she decided that she will go for the audition.

HyunJung disliked going home and she hopes that time can be rewinded so that she can spend happy times with her brother just like before. To fulfil her secret dream of becoming a singer, and probably a chance to get out of her lonely home, she tried her luck by auditioning. She got in because of her powerful vocal skills. She promised herself to work hard for her debut. She aspires to be like BoA, a charismatic singer. She felt lucky and relieved that she was accepted into the company due to the fact that she does not have to face her empty and lonely home everyday.

She met KyuHyun and BoA the day she went for the second round of audition. They were near the audition room that day after their lunch and they were awed by HyunJung's vocal skills. They approached her and wished her luck when she was waiting for the results. Since they were free for that afternoon, they accompanied HyunJung through the waiting and she gained some tips from them on how to become a great and successful singer. HyunJung was then announced that she was accepted as a trainee in S.M Entertainment and she thanked the two singers for their support. BoA, being a friendly lady she is, suggested for them to exchange numbers. Since then, they always contact each other through the phone and once in a while, they will meet up for meals. HyunJung became more sociable after meeting them and she learnt to prank her members and other labelmates she is close to from the infamous Evil Maknae, KyuHyun. She also became friends with other idol singers such as TaeYeon of SNSD and KyuHyun's fellow groupmate, EunHyuk through KyuHyun and BoA during times when they tagged along for meals. She is thankful to have met them as they helped her to slowly return to her old self before her brother left.

Description of being a trainee and how many years: HyunJung did not have many friends during her trainee period, so she is, most of the time, alone. She does not take the initiative to talk to others unless the others started a conversation with her. Due to her cold attitude, other trainees think that she is rude so she does not have many trainee friends. Despite being a girl who likes to be alone, she will try her best to help when others need it. She does not hesitate to give advice to others when they have a problem, so other trainees will sometimes go to her when they need some good words of advice. She will randomly say out her fellow trainees' mistake straight-forwardly during their vocal training when they are having a break. She will help to correct their mistakes. She became closer to some of the trainees due to that, however, there are still trainees who do not like to listen to her advice and they think that she is too proud of herself when she corrects their mistakes. She is a trainee in SM Entertainment for about years and a half years before the company decide to let her debut in a girl group.

How did you get into SM?: HyunJung disliked going home to a lonely house. To fulfil her secret dream of becoming a singer, and probably a chance to get out of her lonely home, she tried her luck by auditioning. Thus, after she saw an SM audition poster posted at the bus-stop, she went for a walk-in audition. She was 15 when she auditioned, and that was a year after her brother left. After a hard time of deciding whether to go for it or not, HyunJung finally made a decision to audition and promised herself to work hard and become a great singer. She got in because of her great vocal skills.

How did you know him/her and how did they meet each other?: HyunJung met DongHae through KyuHyun when he brought her along for their celebratory dinner after the release of their new album "Mr. Simple" last year. She also met the other members at the dinner. During one time when HyunJung was practising till late in the practice room because she could not get the steps right, DongHae walked past the practice room and was curious why there is still someone practising at that time of the day, so he went in and noticed HyunJung's frustration. He corrected her foot work then, and HyunJung was thankful towards DongHae and said that she owed him. They exchanged numbers and after that incident, they became closer to each other. 

Why does your character like them?: DongHae is a really nice and gentlemen-like man who treats everyone well. Although he is already 26, he is still young at heart and he is always playful and adorable. HyunJung likes him because he treats her really well and he is a fun-loving and easy to get along with. HyunJung feels that he can work really hard and play really hard, he knows when to get serious and when to let his hair down. DongHae treats his Super Junior members like family and he also treats other people well, even those he is not close to. HyunJung admires his big heart. He is soft-hearted and also cries easily making HyunJung wants to hug him and comfort him each time he cries. He is also adorable like a four-year-old kid and that is what made HyunJung crazy over him.
