Your personality: HyunJung was a hyper and lovable young girl before her mother passed away. She became distant from outsiders since then as she was always drowned in her own world of studying. She did not like people to disturb her when she is studying as she is afraid that she might not be able to focus. However, she will not blame or start a fight with the person as she does not like to get into arguments. She does not take the initiative to talk to others unless they are the ones who started a conversation with her. She wants to go back to the HyunJung who was sociable and friendly, whom had a jovial character, who smiles always despite her problems. Even if she wanted to do that badly, she could not get herself to return back to the old HyunJung again after she lost her mother and all the problems she encounter in her life. HyunJung believes that her mother is always beside her. Whenever she is met with a problem, she likes to say out her problem when she is alone even though she knows she will not get any replies. She misses her mother dearly. 

HyunJung has a kind and forgiving nature. She will not take things to heart and she will forgive and forget people's mistakes easily, even if she might not like it. She does not hate, she just dislike how the other trainees in the company treat her. She feels uncomfortable around them. Due to her cold attitude, she does not have many friends in the company. Despite people treating her badly in the company, HyunJung will act as if nothing happened when she reached home as she do not want her father to worry about her. Even though her fellow trainees treated her like trash, she will still agree almost immediately when they ask her for help. This is also a reason why she became the victim of the bullies, especially her step-sister as they are in the same company. You can say that she is a really reliable person when it comes to keeping secrets. She also does not hesitate to give advice to others when they have a problem, so people like to go to her when they need some words of advice. Due to this, she has gained herself quite a number of friends, though not many. Now, she is trying to slowly open up to some of the people around her.

She likes to go to the airport when she has free time as she can find many different kinds of people there; people of different nationalities, races and ages. One of the things she likes to do is to observe people. She finds it interesting when observing people. From their appearance, to their actions, she was amused by all different kinds of people she can find there. Sometimes, she will also try to guess what those people are thinking. HyunJung also thinks that airport is a good place to capture nice photographs. People's tears of sadness due to separation and tears of joy due to reunions are worth for good photos. Life background/story: HyunJung was born on the 6th of November in 1994, as an only child. Although her family was not as rich and they did not live in a big mansion, neither did they have the wealth to buy the things that they desire, they were contented with what they have. They were happy that they are healthy and living together as a happy little family even in a small house. They had no worries as long as they are together. However, these all came to an end when they found out about her mother's illness. She was contracted with cancer 8 years ago. When she was fighting the disease for the last 2 years of her life, HyunJung stayed beside her throughout her whole stay in hospital until the day she passed away. She was really sad when sheknew that she could not fulfil her mother's dream of seeing her being successful in the future and the fact that her mother will not be by her side anymore. From then on, she studied really hard to make her mother proud which she really did when she got accepted into this prestigious school she is studying in now through a scholarship. However, the scholarship does not include lodging, thus she chose to stay at home as she does not have ample money for dormitory in school.

Three years after her mother's death, which was when HyunJung was 14, her father remarried another woman. HyunJung disliked the woman as she felt that her mother was being replaced. For the first time, she quarrelled with her father when he told her his decision of wanting to get married to the woman. However, when she saw how happy her father was when he was with the woman, she agreed to their marriage since the woman was also nice to her father and her. Things turned 360 degrees around after her father was married to her new mother. Her new mother's attitude towards her changed as she was jealous that her husband was treating HyunJung better than her two children and herself. She started to be harsh to her and always demands HyunJung to run errands for her. She has her own laundry shop, W.J Laundry Service, located near the siblings' school. HyunJung and WooJin always help out at the shop after her lessons while MinEun will stay at home or hang out with her friends. She will always take money from her mother's shop without informing her, making HyunJung her scapegoat. HyunJung always got scolded by her step-mother even for the smallest mistakes she made like spilling water on the ground or when she came late for work. 

HyunJung felt like she is a nobody at home after her new family members entered her life. She disliked going home and she hopes that time can be rewinded and go back to their small little family consisting of only her father, her mother and herself. Thus she felt lucky and relieved that she was accepted into the company due to the fact that she does not have to face her step-mother everyday. 

How do you become a trainee: HyunJung auditioned when she was 15, a year after her father remarried. She went for audition one day after she saw a poster outside SM's building. To fulfil her secret dream of becoming a singer, and probably a chance to get away from her step-mother, she tried her luck by auditioning. She got in because of her powerful vocal and rapping skills. She promised to herself to work hard for her debut. She aspires to be like BoA, a charismatic singer.

How did you meet them: She met KyuHyun and BoA the day she went for the second round of audition. They were near the audition room that day after their lunch and they were awed by HyunJung's vocal skills. They approached her and wished her luck when she was waiting for the results. Since they were free for that afternoon, they accompanied HyunJung through the waiting and she gained some tips from them on how to become a great and successful singer. HyunJung was then announced that she was accepted as a trainee in S.M Entertainment and she thanked the two singers for their support. BoA, being a friendly lady she is, asked for them to exchange numbers. Since then, they always contact each other through the phone and once in a while, they will meet up for meals. HyunJung became more sociable after meeting them and she learnt to prank her members and other labelmates she is close with from the infamous Evil Maknae, KyuHyun. She also became friends with other idol singers such as TaeYeon of SNSD and KyuHyun's fellow groupmate, EunHyuk through KyuHyun and BoA during times when they tagged along for meals. She is thankful to have met them as they helped her to slowly return to her true self before her mother passed away.

How did you meet him: HyunJung met DongHae through KyuHyun when he brought her along for their celebratory dinner after the release of their new album "Mr. Simple" last year. She also met the other members at the dinner. During one time when HyunJung was practising till late in the practice room because she could not get the steps right, DongHae walked past the practice room and was curious why there is still someone practising at that time of the day, so he went in and noticed HyunJung's frustration. He corrected her foot work then, and HyunJung was thankful towards DongHae and said that she owed him. They exchanged numbers and after that incident, they became closer to each other.
