Hyun Rin owns a very sweet and feminine closet. Most, if not all, of her clothes are in light, pastel colours. She owns a lot of skirts and blouses, and is not too fond of jeans, preferring shorts over pants any day. Hyun Rin loves white, and owns a lot of white shirts - which is what people usually see her in.

She likes to accesorize a lot, watches and earrings being her favourites. Since her brother's debut, she's been wearing infinity-earrings to support them, a pair that Dongwoo owns a matching set with.

personality ; 

Onstage | Hyun Rin is very charismatic. She's hard not to like because she's just very... bright and vibrant, like a star. She's never without a smile on her face, and prefers to laugh at the smallest things rather than do nothing. Hyun Rin is also seen to be a bit of a crybaby, easily getting emotional when amazing stuff happens [ like, say, topping a music chart or winning an award ]. Despite being one of the older girls then, Hyun Rin becomes the group's baby, even if she doesn't do childish stuff like aegyo.

Offstage | There... really isn't much of a difference. Hyun Rin is still as optimistic and happy-go-lucky as ever. Hyun Rin isn't exactly childish, but because she likes to keep the tensions away from the group and the atmosphere as light as possible, she is considered somewhat as a dorky jokester - even if her jokes are quite corny. It's the effort that counts though, and no one can actually dislike her too much because it's quite rare nowadays to see someone who puts so much effort in little things. She can be considered as quite naive, in that sense. She has too much of a pure heart, and looks at the lighter side of everything. Much too innocent when she's in the world of show business. But perhaps that is her charm as well. The fact that through everything, Hyun Rin remains to be the girl with the golden heart - unwavering and unrelenting.

She's not someone who is angered. It's a great feat if she gets mad at someone - consider yourself lucky, in a sense. It's quite something to see. Hyun Rin has a lot of patience, and with a never-ending bucket supply of second chances in her arms. But when she gets angry, her fuse blows and she does not talk to anyone at all - not even to her closest friends or to Dongwoo. She is the type of person who, when angry, is best to be left alone. No one knows what she actually does to cool off, but once she does, she's back to being smiley, pocket-full-of-sunshine, Hyun Rin. Hyun Rin is  admittedly slightly too kind though. No matter if a person hurts her, she still believes in second-chances, and is willing to forgive and forget. It's unsure if she even has a limit at all, and this makes her slightly a push-over. But she just smiles and waves them off.

Despite all this, Hyun Rin is actually quite sensitive. She's easily worked up and gets emotional over the slightest things that are considered good things, like the possibility of a debut or just small things like someone remembering her birthday. Hyun Rin is someone who appreciates the little things in life, and is grateful for every single moment. When you look at it that way, despite this being irritating as hell, it is her charm point. She's too honest, and too naive, and to those who are exposed to the evils of the world, they have a certain attachment for people like her. Hyun Rin is basically a young adult with the heart of a child. 
 

history/childhood ;

Hyun Rin was born the maknae of four siblings - with two older sisters and one older brother. They weren't the richest, but were quite close and quite happy. They currently own an octopus restaurant. Since there was such an with her older sisters, Hyun Rin ended up becoming closer to the youngest of the bunch, the only boy in the family Dongwoo. 

Since Hyun Rin was the youngest, and Dongwoo's only dongsaeng, he was quite protective of her. In turn, she always followed him around when they were younger, not that Dongwoo minded. It was easier that way as well, he didn't need to constantly keep an eye on her. She was sort of a copy cat because she admired her older brother so much - whatever he wanted to do, she did too. When her older sister started dancing, and Dongwoo found his love for dance, she tried it out too. It was where her love for music stemmed.

how did you join ; casted from an open audition after a year of trying to get in.

how was life as a trainee ;

It wasn't especially easy - but since music had always been a passion of hers, Hyun Rin found no problem with all the workload dumped on them. She even enjoyed it, actually. The harder it was, the funner and more enjoyable it was for her. She got along fine with other trainees, though some saw her smiley nature as sort of "fake," however, it's not like they hated her. More of... irritation to her constantly upbeat attitude than anything, really.

how did you know each other ; 

Dongwoo was quite protective of her, and was honestly very doubtful on introducing Hyun Rin to his groupmates, no matter how much he trusted them. A guy was a guy, after all, and Dongwoo was still an older brother. So whenever he and Hyun Rin would meet-up after his debut, they would always do so secretly. Since the members kind of thought Dongwoo was dating behind the company's back, they set off to follow him one day when he would be meeting with Hyun Rin. This ended up as a failure [ ...or was it? ] as they were never met with Dongwoo's girlfriend, but with his little sister.

When Sunggyu introduced himself as INFINITE's leader, Hyun Rin immediately respected him as Dongwoo was less of a handful and thanked him. He gave her his number just in case Hyun Rin couldn't contact Dongwoo [ though they both admitted that wasn't likely to happen... ] and managed to get hers so that they could contact her. Hyun Rin was definitely attracted to him - though could not really tell at that time whether it was admiration at his ability to control 6 kids, or simply a little school girl crush.

how did you know each other ;

Hyun Rin originally met him along with the other INFINITE members [see above], however they managed to get closer together when she was working with Ji Woo in a cafe Sungyeol frequented in. They were short on staff, and since Hyun Rin was Ji Woo's friend [who was the only regular baristaa], she offered to help and coincidentally served Sungyeol. Sungyeol recognized her as Dongwoo's dongsaeng, and chatted with her about trivial things. Upon knowing that they were both born on 1991, Sungyeol exchanged numbers with her, and became fast friends.

rivals ; Jung Soojin

why are you rivals ;

They're not particularly rivals, per se, because Hyun Rin doesn't actually hate Soojin, nor does Soojin hate her. Soojin was a coordinator once for YG entertainment, and because of their close ages, they tried becoming friends with each other. However, their personalities and beliefs clashed too much - and since Soojin had once been heart broken by a trainee [ who was now an idol ], she kind of detests trainees who are too optimistic and idealistic like Hyun Rin. Soojin eventually quit YG entertainment to get away from Hyun Rin as any more quarrels with her, the higher ups would deal with her. She eventually transferred to Woollim entertainment - imagine her surprise when she found out Dongwoo was Hyun Rin's older brother. It doesn't seem to help that some certain INFINITE members are slowly creeping into her heart... at a rapid speed that could match with Hyun Rin's.
