Past: She is born in a middle-class family whereby her father holds a managerial post in a MNC while her mother is a teacher. She has an older brother. Since young, her parents exposed both kids to all sorts of enrichment classes. From then on, Eun Jung developed a strong interest in singing. After her brother Eunhyuk got recruited into SM, Eun Jun was dying to be like Eunhyuk but her father isn't very supportive to this idea because he feels like girls are likely to be taken advantage if they were to join the entertainment industry. When Eunhyuk got Eun Jung into SM Entertainment, her father was furious and almost disown both kids. It was their mother who managed to persuade the father into accepting the dreams of their kids.

Trainee life: She was previously SM Entertainment because her brother was the one who recommended her to join SM as trainee. While SM Entertainment was having this trainee exchange programme, Eun Jung was selected to be part of the exchange programme and after 6 months of training in Daebak Media, the CEO decided to retain Eun Jung in his company.
