Okay, I think we all know what M-rated SHOULD mean-stuff that's explicit, not allowed for minors to see, you should probably be 18 or older to read it, yada yada yada.

But then one of the stories I read rated the KISS scenes, and explained, "Yeah I wouldn't read this with my mother."

Now if you don't know where this comes from, check out the answer to FAQ what should be rated:

"General rule is that if you would be uncomfortable reading the content with your parents, you should probably mark it as Rated."

Okay, yeah, I probably wouldn't read kiss scenes with my parents either. But that's because my parents are pretty conservative and kinda awkward. Like my mom kinda gives off this vibe that says "WHAT YOU DIDN'T KNOW??? I know, therefore you should know!"

Right.

And my dad...is my dad. He's just...socially awkward in general? IDK, sometimes when I look at old pictures of him I compare him to a teddy bear, if you know what I mean. He's nice and understanding, but him reading a kiss scene with me would be a little too much. He's already like my pyschiatrist, trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with me.

(FYI There are probably A LOT of things wrong with me.)

BUT

What if I was okay reading this with my sister?

I mean, she's literally like my "second" mom, the one who knows what's in and always gets me cool stuff. (She's 8 years older than me BTW)

I would definitelly not care if I read kiss scenes with my sister. I mean, we probably would spazz and debate how realistic/fantastic it is. 

And yeah, with the adult content, I definitely WOULD NOT read that with her. I mean, she's my sister, but for one thing she's legal and I'm not. She would definitely go at me like a mother saying "YOU CAN'T READ THIS YET."

-sigh- BTW sis, you left A LOT of books at home that has explicit scenes in it, and you know how I inherit anything you leave at home. Just saying. I always have read your books.
