Can Someone Please Explain Why...

How come every time I post a new chapter it automatically sets it as Rated M? Not only does it set it as Rated M but when I uncheck it and then edit the chapter again after I have saved the edit my chapter is Rated M.

And mind you this is happening to very clean and fluffy chapters with no bad language or ual themes. Does anyone know why this is? Honestly I'm a bit frustrated by it even if it's just a minor glitch... I hate to complain about anything, but I'm hoping someone maybe knows why this happens?

@maknae-minded-Beth: yeah the parent apparently freaked out which is BS

@dnnmsn: LOL I shall have to answer to that call then!

@renprix: the story is "Forbidden" and it kept rating my chapter 5 as M!

It uses keywords to rate it now. I think it's just to be safe, becuz I read somewhere that he was sued because some parent found a bad M story.

@Mystex: It wasn't at first but it keeps rechecking it and it's driving me mad!

@iLoveYou24: grrrr, definitely asking him.

@TaeminnieStart: Glad to know it's not just me >.>

@Sileance: omg me too! Every time I try to edit it remarks it and it makes me SO mad!

@renprix: definitely but I get the feeling it detects words out of context >.> as I mentioned I posted a very fluffy cutesy type of thing and it rated it. I kid you not I reread it and edited and took out words I thought it was for like an hour and it STILL did it @.@

you better ask Jason, for this, because it automatically filters every words. so once a word that is considered rated is detected, it is marked as rated immediately.. you may ask Jason what are those words though, he might give it to you... but i cant assure he will though

I think it's automatically doing that for any story with a previously marked rated M chapter. It's driving me insane.

I have to agree. Although I'm sure he's exceptionally busy with all of the changes which have recently been made during the switch and recovering data and such, but I think in the long run somewhere down the road something less cut and dry can be used. Like I said, if I make a sentence as innocent as "She cocked her head to the side" I'm getting marked M.

I personally think whoever is managing AFF should look into a better system for labeling whether it's M or not. For example, on another site similar to this, they have several categories like Teens, Preteen, Children, and then Mature. I think this system would work a hell of a lot better.
