Annyeonghaseyo! Konichiwa! 大家好！
I'm madamX! Nice to meet you all! So I haven't quite figured out what the difference between personal message and about me is, I'll just assume personal message is like a cover letter and the about me is like a resume. I was first introduced to kpop by my friend who is my “umma”. Could you believe at first I didn’t like kpop? Shame! Ahh, the first kpop song I heard that I can really remember is “Tonight” by Big Bang, totally fell in love after that. From Big Bang I stemmed out into SM and I became a Shawol although these days, EXO has caught my eye. My circle of Asian friends definitely fueled the fire a lot.
Hmm, some of my personal hobbies are reading, writing, playing piano, playing flute, playing guitar, playing oboe… yeah I play a lot of instruments. My friends have often told me that I don’t relax enough since my current reading list is made up mostly of textbooks. The one I’m reading right now is “Basic Marketing a Global Managerial Approach”. I feel like I’m such a loser right now… Don’t get me wrong, I read my share of fiction and there’s nothing better than curling up with a good book under the covers (although that’s terrible for your vision). If you look in my About Me, I’ve included a list of books that I’ve read that I really liked. ^_^
Besides all my nerdy music stuff I also like sports! I was on my school Field Hockey team and Track and Field team. Boy was that a handful, especially since I was doing sports on top of my other nerdy activities like Debate Club and Math Club… Oh geez, I’m not helping with the nerd concept now am I? I also volunteer every other week at my church in Sunday School! The kids there are so cute, but the messes they make are a whole lot less cute. >.<
Well! Thanks for taking the time to read this and getting to know a little bit more about me! You probably all think I’m either a nerd or a loser both of which are unfortunately true.

PS I chose the pen name madamX because madam is a palindrome and X is the atypical variable, sounds kind of mysterious no? Ah… maybe I’m just crazy with all my math ideas… erm… I hope you still read my stories after seeing how truly bizarre I am.

Nationality: Chinese-Canadian! Tee hee hee, I totally ride my own polar bear to school with my Eskimo friends. No. Not all Canadians are Eskimos nor do we ride polar bears or live in igloos please get that in your head, eh? ;) I’ve actually had so many people ask me that… well, obviously not fellow Canadians but seriously guys, seriously, it’s really hot here in the summer!
Hometown: I guess I could say Beijing ?
Languages Spoken: Chinese (fluent), English (fluent), French (basic conversational) and well… pig latin ;)

Biases: Other than the number one spot, the others float around on a weekly basis but they tend to stay within the top 5. Get ready for my fangirl splurge.
1. SHINee! <3 Within SHINee, I like Jonghyun best, for his voice and for his portrayed personality (keep in mind, artists are often different from how they portray themselves) After Jonghyun, the rest pretty much rank equally.
2. EXO, within EXO, I’m going to have to say either Kris the Canadian or Luhan. Argh but they’re all so cute… ottoke?
3. Big Bang and then within Big Bang, G-Dragon all the way
4. 2PM or B2ST. Within 2PM, I’m going to have to say Junsu, again for the voice and then in B2ST I like Yoseob, voice and personality… I see a trend here!
5. B.A.P. Loving their music! J Zelo has to be my favourite. Ahaha
6. TVXQ or DBSK, really really sad that they broke up but I guess SM just had to learn the lesson the hard way. U-Know Yunho! J

I’m too big a fan of the girl groups although I like Ailee, 2NE1 and F(x) probably the most. Kara, SNSD and Wonder Girls aren’t bad either and APink seems to be doing well as well. What I really don’t care for is T-ara’s whole controversy… I wish they’d just solve it and move on already. Hee hee and now after watching EYK, I’m always thinking of 4Minute as Hyuna and her back up dancers… awks.
