EXO
Two subunits. Two languages. Twelve boys. One heart.

**Note: This came out a little longer than I had anticipated. I think it's worth reading though if you're an EXOtic. Also, these are just my opinions. I don't care if you think something else than what I have written. I wrote down my thoughts, not yours.**

Xiumin

Xiumin is the oldest member. He's one of the two Korean members in EXO-M. Luhan gave him the nickname Baozi. It means 'bun' in Chinese. He was given that nickname because he has a round and cute face like a bun. During interviews he isn't given the chance to talk much. EXO has a total of six songs on their album. Xiumin only has a total of six lines in the whole album. These six lines only add up to 15 seconds. It's not fair, right? He's an amazing dancer. In my opinion, better than Lay. Does he get dance solos? No. At concerts fans bring banners and whatnot to support their bias. Xiumin and Chen cringe when they realize that none of the banners have their names written on them. I think Luhan gave him the nickname Baozi so that something would make Xiumin stand out more to the fans. Things must be awkward for him. He's 22 years old, one of the two Korean members in a Chinese subunit, and only known for his aegyo. I don't know anyone that is Xiumin biased. Please pay more attention to him. I know how much a few simple words could completely change a person's day.

 Luhan

Luhan is a lovely person. He's sweet, cute, funny, nice and charming. Making him laugh isn't too hard to do. He loves being around s, it's obvious. He's Chinese and the one of the main vocals for EXO-M. Luhan is just like how you'd expect any other idol to be. He's handsome, he has an amazing voice, and he has aegyo. He's the main vocal in EXO-M along with Chen. He's very playful. Luhan is a happy spirit. When EXO-M and EXO-K come together as a group, Luhan is often seen with Sehun. They're good friends and enjoy eachother's company. He has a large heart and is very caring towards others. Anyone who is his friend should feel lucky. He's also known by his nickname 'Little Deer'. If I'm not wrong--and I might be--his name and 'deer' are spelled the same in Chinese. There isn't much more to say about him. I don't have a bias in EXO but I feel like I favor Luhan just a little bit because he's always so happy. I think his personality is what got me inrerested in EXO. I'd love to meet him someday.

Kris

Kris is the handsome dragon of EXO. He's the leader of EXO-M. It's hard to be a leader, especially when you aren't the oldest. Many people give Kris such a hard time because he's so serious. His eyes are dark and full of mystery. I believe he knows many things about this world, both good and evil. When SM went to California for the SM Town concert, Kris took all of the members to Disneyland. He paid for the tickets himself. With his own money. They say he doesn't deserve to be a leader... They say that he's too serious or too cold. I disagree. He prefers to be alone. Not because he doesn't get along with people but becuase he just likes the peace and quiet of being alone. I think that's why people call him cold. When EXO was at an airport, fans had their hands on him. They'd touch his neck, pull at his clothes and pretty much never leave him alone. Did he complain? No. Not even once did he complain or shout out at his fans. Another time, during airport security, Xiumin got held back for further inspection. Who stayed back to be with him? Kris did. Don't judge a book by its cover. Kris may look tough and cold, well who knows. Maybe he is.  But he cares a lot for the other eleven of s.  

Suho

Suho is EXO-K's 'appa' or 'dad'. The word 'Suho' means gaurdian in Korean. He's really lived up to his stage name. He's the leader of EXO-K. As I said in Kris' article, being a leader is hard. Suho is the oldest in EXO-K but that doesn't mean the position is that much eaiser than it would have been if he wasn't the oldest. Leaders must look out for their members as if they were their children. Maybe that's how Suho earned his stage name as 'gaurdian'. Suho is really sweet. Suho is a vocalist in EXO-K. He has a nice singing voice, much like that of an angel. During interviews, he's usually always handed the microphone first. When another one of s doesn't know how to respond a question, Suho will automatically raise his mic and help them. Suho sincerely cares for s. It's clear in his eyes when he watches them show off their individual talents. Every father has pride in all of his children.

Lay

Lay is EXO-M's main dancer. With swift body movements and breathtaking poses, he is able to woo anyone with his dancing ability. Before his debut (during his days as a trianee) he was spotted at a few SHINee concerts as their back up dancer. He is known as a unicorn. The reason behind this being that his symbol is a unicorn. They're considered healing animals. Lay (along with Kris, Tao and SHINee's Key) is a rapper in the song Two Moons. He has a really soft and smooth voice, it doesn't matter if he's singing or rapping. It's always the same and brings happiness to whoever listens to it. Lay seems shy on the inside but if you get to know his personality, he's very passionte of his dancing and very happy spirited. I believe he will do well with whatever life throws at him. 

Baekhyun

Baekhyun is EXO-K's main vocalist along with D.O. He has a strong voice. He's very charismatic. So much that some people actually think he's a rapper if they don't know all of EXO yet. I think that for most people that don't know EXO or are just getting into EXO that Baekhyun will be their bias. He stands out a lot to me because of his voice. It can be soft and sweet like how it was in Into Your World or strong and independant like it was in MAMA. He's close to Chanyeol in the group and will often be around him during concerts. The members in EXO-K gave him the nickname ByunBaek. It combines his last name (Byun) with the first four letters of his first name. Before he goes to sleep he'll unconciously whine like a puppy. All the other members will laugh with him about it. He's known as EXO's Eyeliner Prince because many fans think he's the best looking while wearing it. I think he looks handsome with or without it on. He will always work hard to never disappoint his fans.

Chen

Chen is EXO-M's main vocal. He is the other Korean member in EXO-M besides Xiumin. In my opinion, he looks like he could be raised in America. He's nice has a nice personality. I would want one of my friends to be like him. He's kindheartted and charismatic. Like Xiumin, he isn't very popular in China. I think it's because of the fact that he's a Korean boy in a group where most of the members are Chinese. Chen's strong vocals are what got him into EXO. He has an amazing vocal range. In the song MAMA, he's the one that starts it off. The first part of the song, I think, is also the hardest. Kris gave Chen the nickname 'Chen Chen'. I really like that nickame and more often refer to him as Chen Chen rather than just Chen. I think that nickname is different so it suits him. Despite not being the most popular member in his group like Luhan or Kris, he always has a smile on his face. I admire him for that.

Chanyeol

Chanyeol is EXO-K's charismatic rapper. His aura on stage is very powerful during performances. His voice is really low and deep, much like the voice of Kris, BIGBANG's T.O.P, B.A.P's Yongguk and Teen Top's C.A.P. His voice doesn't match with his face since he looks younger than he actually is. Chanyeol is very child-like. He's easy to get along with because of this. He's fun to be around and likes to cause trouble for Suho. His deep voice is what helps him in being a rapper. Of course not all rappers have deep voices but Chanyeol does and he uses it to his advantage. His rapping style is more of speed than it is rhythm. He's known as DerpYeol because he makes fun and dorky faces during interviews and while performing. All of this makes him a fun person to be friends with.

D.O

D.O is known as EXO-K's umma or mom. He is the main vocalist and has a duet song on their album along with Baekhyun. Their voices are very similar in how they sound. To a new EXO fan, you'd think that it's the same person singing when in reality, one is D.O and the other is Baekhyhun. D.O (like Chen) has the first part of the song in MAMA. On stage, he's very serious in what he does. You can tell he loves performing by the confident smile he'll show off to the audience at the end of each song. When he's not helping Suho control the younger members, he's the one causing problems with Chanyeol and maknae Sehun. D.O's personality is very outgoing, especially when he's around all of s. It's clear that he will have everlasting love for all of them.

Tao

Tao is EXO-M's maknae, or youngest member. He a charismatic yet cute and loving rapper. He's an expert in martial arts. I don't think I've ever seen anyone so younge yet so skilled in Wushu like he is. He's very playful and caring. Durning Chinese interviews when EXO-M is asked to say something to their fellow members in EXO-K, Tao will always tear up and begin to cry. He cries because he misses s. It's painful to be away from six people who are like family to you. I understand why he tears up. People call him weak becaue he cries. I don't think he's weak at all. I think the complete opposite. It takes a true man to cry. Tao's fans call him a panda becuase he resembles one. He has dark circles under his eyes and shining dark black hair. The nickname panda is reasonable. He also loves Gucci. There is a predebut picture of him outside a Gucci store. Overall, Tao is EXO's sweet, loving and caring panda.

Kai

Kai is the face of EXO. He was the first member released through all of EXO's teasers. He has the most individual teasers than any other member. For this reason, I think that when people think of EXO, the first thing that comes to mind is Kai. He's the rapper for EXO-K. He's famous for his powerful rap in MAMA. He's also EXO-K's main dancer. I think he really lives up to his roles as dancer and rapper because he does them flawlessly. He gets along well with D.O and they'll often play together on stage and mess around. Kai is a fun person. I think that without Kai, EXO would have no face. Maybe it would be Luhan or Kris but it wouldn't be the same without dancing machine Kai. Many people say that Kai resembles his lablemate from SHINee, Taemin. I see the resemblence. It's also obvious he and Taemin get along well. Kai, don't ever change for anyone. 

Sehun

Sehun is EXO's maknae. He's shy and innocent at first sight but when he gets to know the people he's around, he can be quite a trouble maker. He's clode to his hyung Luhan. He even once said that he didn't know what the true meaning of friendship was until he met Luhan. Sehun is EXO-K's rapper. The role fits him well becuase of his unique voice. Many EXOtics joke around and call him Thehun. This nickname came from how he says his own name. Sehun has a lisp so when he introduces himself in interviews it sounds like he's saying Thehun instead of Sehun. He's really nice and caring. He likes to fool around on stage and have fun with all of his hyungs. Sehun and Tao make up the 'babies' of the group. I hope all the members will look after them and take care of them well.
