hello, i'm... ]: Lee Demetria
[ i also respond to ]: Demeter |  This is where her name originates from. Demeter was the Greek Goddess of the Earth and Demmi loves the woods/nature so people say it fits. | She doesn't particularly like this nickname, but she never stands up and tells people to stop calling her it, so people occasionally do.
Demmi | Most people call her this. It's simply an abbreviation of her full name.

looks can be deceiving ]: Demmi has naturally dark brown eyes with little flecks of blue in them, however her contacts have a blue tint so her eyes appear to be a dark blue. Her eyes are reasonably large, though they are extremely almond shaped despite only being half asian (they look just like Eun's). She has naturally a dark brown hair color that is cut short, but she dies it to a lighter brown with blonde highlights and tips. She has small dimples that can only be seen when she smiles really widely, so not many people know she has them. She also has a few very light freckles on her cheeks and nose. They look out of place on her Asian appearance, so she tends to cover them up with foundation. Other than foundation, she doesn't wear a lot of make-up. She prefers the natural look, though every now and then she'll wear eyeliner to school or the movies. However, when she goes to a special occasion or fancy party, she reluctantly puts on eyeliner, eyeshadow, foundation, and masquera. She refuses to wear blush. As far as other birthmarks go, she has a very large one right back that is remotely shaped like a star. Other than the freckles and the single birth mark, Demmi has almost perfect skin. She only gets pimples once in a blue moon and there are no beauty marks anywhere on her body.
my best feature ]: Demmi's natural hair color is a dark, deep brown with lighter brown highlights. She dies it so that she has lighter brown hair with blonde highlights and tips that almost look gold. She dies it whenever her roots at the tops of the highlights grow out too long. She died it on her old friend's request many years ago (back when she lived in Athens). It was because the friend was thinking about dying her hair that way, so she asked Demmi to test it out for her. Demmi obliged though she had no problem with her natural hair, and she ended up really liking the way it looked so she kept it. Her hair comes almost down to her chin. Naturally, Demmi's hair is wavy and rather frizzy. It poofs out a lot, which somehow doesn't look so bad on her. She usually leaves it alone to do what it will, but every now and then she'll straighten it for an occasion. However, she will never curl it. She tried it once, and it ended in a disaster. Her hair's too short to do much with, so she leaves it down. Due to it's short length, almost no care is necessary for Demmi's hair. She barely has to use any shampoo and conditioner, and when she wakes up in the morning, she simply brushes it.
am i a fashionista? ]: Demmi prefers not to wear anything too bold. Dark, plain colors are her favorites and she never wears anything particularly spectacular. Thanks to her maids buying her clothes, she tends to keep somewhat up to date with the latest trends, but she's not worried about looking trendy as long as she doesn't stick out. Revealing clothes are a no-no. Midcalf is the shortest she'll go for skirts and dresses (though she doesn't like wearing either) and shorts are not allowed to ride up her . Casual is her favorite way to go, T-shirts, jeans/denim shorts, and converse are her life. Plain patterns and cute little graphics decorate almost all of her regular clothes.

[ it's called accessorizing ]: She has both ears pierced, but no other piercings or tattoos. She usually doesn't wear jewelry, it isn't really her thing, but she does have a necklace she treasures that was handed down from her mother to her that she keeps in her jewelry box in her safe. She holds it dear, but she never wears it in fear she might lose or break it. She used to have glasses, but changed to contacts when she was told they made her look too nerdy. Her eyesight is awful without them. Everything is just a bunch of blurry blobs of color. To avoid this, she carries around two extra sets wherever she goes.

                                                                                       c a n ' t u s e e

this is me ]: Demmi doesn't talk a lot. Holding a conversation is most definitely not her forte. Words just don't seem to come easily to her. She can never think of the right thing to say at the right time, though she always looks back on what people have said to her in the past and she spends hours coming up the perfect thing she could've said back to them. However, these perfect responses never come to her when she really needs them. She always seems to blank out when someone makes a witty comment, so she usually stays quiet. People see her as weak because of this, so she sometimes gets bullied by people who know she won't (more like can't) fight back. She under pressure. And it's not just in situations like this that she isn't good with words, she never is. Even holding a normal conversation with her for more than five sentences can be a really hard task. She stutters and takes forever to answer, sometimes to the point where you think she's gone deaf and can't hear you talking to her. The only exceptions to this lack of words is when she's with her close friends. She can somehow easily converse with people she feels comfortable around. She still can't think of witty responses, but she can at least talk like a normal person. The catch is, there can't be anyone she doesn't feel comfortable with in the room. Even if she were in a restaurant filled entirely with people she could talk with, and one person she didn't know well walked in, she would recede back into her recluse state of stuttering and silence.
Demmi doesn't voice her opinions. At all. Yes, it's partially because of her problem with talking, but it's mainly because that's who she is. Even when she's with her closest friends, she won't voice her opinions. She lets other people make the decisions and she simply goes along with them. Even if she hates what people tell her to do, she'll do it anyway. Even if she hates what people tell her to wear, she'll wear it anyway. You get the idea. She doesn't stand up for herself. Also, she doesn't give light to her ideas. If her friends are suggesting ideas for what to do tomorrow, she'll simply sit back and listen to the ideas the other girls have. She won't add her ideas to the lot and she won't comment on which idea she likes best. She'll leave it totally up to the others and simply go with whatever they come up with.
She is also a people-pleaser. She always wants to make everyone else happy, even at the expense of her own happiness. She likes seeing others smile, but truthfully, it's just natural. She doesn't want to let people down and she can't stand the idea of someone not liking her. Her biggest worry is always how people think of her, so she wants to make sure that everyone thinks she is a wonderful person.
Demmi is a listener. She is the best listener you will ever find. She can sit there and listen to your problems and joys and issues for a week straight and never in except to voice her agreement. She always listens intently to anyone who comes to her and afterwards she tries her best to give them all the advice she can. She combines her experiences, what she's read, what she's seen, and what she's been told to come up with the best possible solution to any problem that anyone has. And she's usually right too.
Demmi is totally oblivious to guys. Thanks to the arranged marriage she's been expecting since forever, she never saw guys as anything more than friends. Thanks to this, she can never seem to realize when guys like her. They can hint at it as much as they want: taking her to the movies, buying her presents, complimenting her, but she'll never get the point. She'll see every hint as a friendly and kind gesture, but nothing more. If you want to tell her you like her, you have to outright say it with no coverups and no cushions. You have to literally say "Demmi, I like you. And not as in a friend way, I mean as more than that." Not until you say something along those lines will she get the point. And even then, be prepared to repeat yourself at least once, possibly more times. After your done repeating yourself, expect a shocked look for at least a minute before it finally hits her and she starts stammering and then excuses herself, running out the door.
they call me ]: The Silent Advisor
[ i'm currently studying ]: Double Major - Chemistry and Biology and she plans on going for a MBA (Master of Business Administration)
As for the name of their college, how about a play on words? Like rearranging a word that relates to the story. Like Vole (love) University or Cresset (secrets) College. Or you could use Isis College which is made up of the first letter of each other the different plots.
choices & reasons ]: Demmi honestly doesn't like either of the subjects she's studying. She wanted to be an Arts Major and a Performing Arts Minor, but her parents wanted her to be knowledgeable in those fields in order to better understand and manage the family company, so Demmi obliged. She never even fought back, and it almost seemed as though she were enthusiastic about her two fields of study. She does fine in them, being a smart girl, but she hates it.
[ the day in the life of ]: Demmi doesn't have a whole lot of an exciting life. She wakes up in the mornings in her mansion only a few miles from the college grounds, she dresses in the outfit her maids laid out for her, she goes to the dining room and eats the breakfast the butler has put at her place, she gets in her limo and the chauffeur drives her to the college, she goes to her classes, sitting on a bench and reading during the breaks in between classes. Occasionally, one of her friends will be free during her breaks as well and they'll go somewhere private and talk, but this is not common. For lunch, she'll eat what her chef packed her out on the campus lawn, and after classes are over, she's picked up by her chauffeur and driven back to her house. Sometimes she simply studies, sometimes she's invited to go hang out with her friends, and sometimes she just watches tv. There is nothing interesting about her life and it's just about the same routine every day: wake up, go to school, come home, wake up, go to school, come home, wake up, go to school, come home. And it goes on and on. Demmi hates this life with no adventure and nothing truly different or exciting from day to day. Her life is boring and bland, and she needs some spice.

[ my life's story ]: Demmi's parents had been married in an arranged marriage set up by their parents to finalize a merge between their two pharmaceutical companies. The two had known each other since they were young and had, miraculously, fallen in love by the time they were 18. They were happily married a few years later, rejoicing in the fact that they had married their love despite it being an arranged marriage. The young couple traveled the world, visiting and improving company locations wherever they went, seeing the sites while still working efficiently. They quickly become well respected by their employees and known as wonderful CEOs. A few years after their marriage, they decided it was time to have an heir to the family company.
Demmi was born in Athens, Greece. The family technically lived in Seoul, but they had wanted their child to be a Greek citizen, so they went to Greece to have their baby. They hadn't wanted to know beforehand what gender their baby was going to be, so it was a surprise when they had a healthy baby girl. Of course, they had wanted a son to carry on their business, but they decided that in the modern world, a woman could run a business just as well as a man could, so they were not particularly disappointed. The family returned to Seoul about a year later. Having been merely running the company on the computer and through telephone calls, there was a lot to do once they got back to the headquarters in Seoul. Since they were so busy with work, the couple decided to hire a nanny named Misook for Demmi (a very high-end nanny). Demmi loved Misook with all of her heart and came every day from breakfast time to bed time. Misook became Demmi's second mother, seeing as her real mother was so busy with the business that she rarely had time for Demmi. Demmi didn't mind, though, that her parents weren't there for her most of the time. She had Misook and that was enough for her. Of course, her mother and father would arrange a special family day every now and then, but they weren't prodominant figures in Demmi's childhood. Then came the day when Misook had to be let go. It was Demmi's ninth birthday, a day which her parents thought marked the time where she could begin to take care of herself, along with the help of the maids and butlers. Misook was let go very kindly and Mrs. Lee made it very clear that she could return to the mansion whenever she liked to visit Demmi, and that if the Lee family were to have any other kids, she would be called immediately. Misook had been expecting this, and she didn't take it badly. Demmi on the other hand was mortified. She couldn't imagine a life without Misook, and she cried for a week straight after she left. Still, she eventually got over it. Misook came back to visit a few times, but not nearly as often as Demmi would've liked. But as she grew up, Demmi learned to appreciate the responsibility of taking care of herself and, though she never forgot Misook, she learned to live without her.
Of course, being the only daughter to the owners one of the most successful pharamceutical companies in the world, Demmi led a privileged life style since she was born. Though her parents tried their hardest not to spoil her, she was granted almost anything she needed or wanted. However, being the shy girl she is, she never really took advantage of her wealth. She almost never asked for her parents to buy her things, so her parents always believed that she was a perfect little angel who was incapable of selfishness.
[ pretty little princess ]: Her family business is called Evexia (the Greek word for well-being). It's a pharmaceutical company that invents, develops, makes, distributes, and sells all the best medicines throughout the world.
[ through thick and thin ]:
Parents :: together | divorced | remarried ( father / mother )
Father :: Lee Shingoon | 45 | alive | co-CEO of Evexia | He is a loving man who enjoys spending time with his family, but has a strong sense of responsibility for the company. He considers his employees like his 'second family' and he feels that he has to protect, cherish, and work beside them at all times. He feels almost as if they are all his kids that he loves dearly. He still loves his true family, but his time with them is restricted. The company is just so important to him, that at times nothing else seems to matter. Of course, when he is around his family he is a fun and caring father who is lively and active. He loves to always be moving around and doing something exciting, so he often travels the world doing crazy stunts like skydiving and bungee jumping. He always invites his wife on these excursions, and she usually accepts, but Demmi is not invited. Her school work and performance is important to her future running the company, so Shingoon thinks it more important that she stays behind and tends to her school work. | Shingoon is rarely around for Demmi to have much of a relationship with him. He is always busy with the company. But still, when he is around he's a caring and friendly father. He likes to make up wild and insane stories about his adventures and tell them to Demmi, and she enjoys listening to his nonesense. He's a very upbeat and lively man, which Demmi appreciated and loves about him. His smile always warms Demmi's heart and her smile warms his. They love each other though they don't get to spend much time together and Demmi always misses him when he's gone.

Mother :: Lee Euthalia | 44 | alive | co-CEO of Evexia | She is the typical worrywart, doubting mother figure. And not just for Demmi. Like her husband, Euthalia sees all of their employees as her children as well. She can often be seen giving her employees little lunches that she packed and ordering them to sit up straight at the computers in order to not ruin the spine. She does this out of love and caring, but it can be rather embarrassing and sometimes people take it in the wrong way: as her looking down upon them. Still, she can't seem to quell her eomma urges. She worries and fusses over every employee she comes across and she sometimes worries more over them than she does her own daughter! But Demmi gets enough of it. | Euthalia always dotes and worries over Demmi. Demmi knows it's out of love, but she finds it annoying and overbearing (though she would never tell her mother that). Like Shingoon, Euthalia is usually busy at work, so Demmi doesn't see her often, but cell phones serve this woman well. Demmi gets at least two phone calls a day from her mom wanting to know if she's okay and eating well. Demmi is often annoyed by these phone calls, but she answers and talks with her mom anyway. Demmi doesn't miss her so much when she's gone for a few weeks.

[ something called destiny ]: It was never really a big deal for Demmi. She never thought she'd find love anyway, so what would the harm be in having an arranged marriage? It was always just something that was, a fact of life for Demmi. Then he came into the picture. The idol. The arranged marriage was pushed to the back of her mind, and without even realizing it, Demmi was falling for him. Hard. When she finally did realize her growing feelings for him, the arranged marriage immediately became the enemy. She frantically, desperately searched for a way out, but she couldn't bring herself to tell anyone of her feelings. She was afraid of the disappointment it would bring. So, like always, she stayed quiet. No one knows how much she wants to get out of the arrangement, not even her idol.
Her parents, on the other hand, think this arranged marriage will be the best thing for Demmi. They were in an arranged marriage, and it has worked out perfectly, so they think it will work somewhat the same for Demmi.
[ lost in love ]: Kevin Woo || U-Kiss
[ birthday boy ]: 19 | November 25th
[ i like you ]: He is above all else, friendly. He's the type of guy that anyone can talk to easily. Sometimes too easily. People feel comfortable around him and they often let things slip that they shouldn't let slip. Thanks to this, Kevin has all the juicy news on just about everyone. Still, he usually doesn't use this knowledge (key word: usually). He respects people's secrets and likes to keep them safe, though you don't want to be on his bad side when his temper flares up. He has one hell of a temper, and if your the one who invoked it, be prepared for every secret you ever trusted him with to be dumped out onto the table. This is rare, though not unseen. Kevin is usually a calm guy who knows how to manipulate a conversation onto topics that everyone can be involved in. He doesn't like leaving people out or letting people down, so he always works his hardest to make others happy. But unlike Demmi, he knows where the line is. He doesn't sacrifice his own happiness for that of others. While he tries to put others first, he keeps himself high on the list instead of at the bottom. Every now and then, he can get a bit possessive and selfish, though he apologizes afterwards (that is, if he realizes he was being selfish).
[ it was an accident ]: Kevin was actually a student at the same college as Demmi goes to. He only went for a year, after which U-Kiss began to gain extreme popularity in the kpop world. This led to an increase of demand for their presence on variety shows, in dramas, and elsewhere. Due to his increasingly packed schedule, Kevin was forced to drop out of university. However, the school still remembers him and he still remembers the school. One day, he was able to find enough free time to take a visit to the college and perform a little for the performing arts majors. Demmi was a fan of U-Kiss, though it was the singing and dancing that truly attracted her to the performance when Baekhyun invited her to go with him (not as a date if that's what you're thinking, just as friends). It was a great performance: he sang beautifully and did a few dance numbers, and AJ made a special appearance. The crowd was really respectful and everyone was enjoying themselves (including Kevin) until a crazed fan-girl decided to runt onstage. She was flipping out and ran up to Kevin, hugging him and screaming. Kevin was lost and didn't know how to react, but Baekhyun did. He immediately ran up on stage and grabbed the girl (who was one of his good friends) and dragged her off stage, apologizing and asking Kevin to continue. Demmi was awed at his bravery and his quick reaction. After the performance, Kevin's guards told Baekhyun that Kevin wanted to thank him in person, so he was invited backstage. Since Demmi was his close friend and had come with him, she was allowed to go as well.
Backstage, Kevin thanked Baekhyun immensely, but his gaze kept on slipping to the timid yet beautiful girl behind, Demmi. Though Demmi was completely and totally oblivious, Baekhyun noticed, and introduced her. Demmi's quiet and shy demeanor seemed to attract and intrigue Kevin, so Baekhyun (being the wonderful, incredible friend he is) kindly backed out saying he needed to use the bathroom. Demmi didn't take the boy's stammering or reddening face as a sign that he was attracted to her, but simply as his personality. Demmi liked it, she thought it was cute. They talked for a while and strangely, Demmi was able to hold a conversation. He seemed to put her nerves at ease and she automatically felt comfortable with him. The two exchanged numbers and by the time Baekhyun got back, they had talked for long enough to get to know each other a bit.
[ duck, duck, goose ]: Demmi feels more comfortable with Kevin than with anyone else, but she still has her complex about putting his happiness before hers despite them not being in an actual relationship. They text often, though seeing each other is hard due to Kevin's busy schedule and worldwide fame. Still, they love going to coffee shops and hanging out for a bit. Believe it or not, Demmi actually holds decent conversations with him and, though she never says anything witty, her laugh never fails to make Kevin smile. Demmi started falling for him from the very beginning, though she didn't notice it till months after. Something about him made Demmi feel comfortable and safe with him and his kind, caring, yet funny demeanor allowed Demmi to talk with him normally. She loves his smile and when he tries to teach her English, his slightly chubby cheeks, and his finely shaped dancer's body. And of course, his voice is to die for.
[ uh-oh ]: Now that the arranged marriage looms not too far in the distance, Demmi is beginning to panic. She doesn't know how to react or what to do. She's caught between letting down her parents (and possibly everyone around her) and letting down her love. Though it may seem like an obvious choice to just about anyone else, to Demmi this is an impossible choice. Family means a lot to her and letting them down along with her fiance and his family is an unbearable thought. Still, she knows that she loves Kevin. She has considered running away with Kevin, but that most definitely wouldn't work. She's considered just marrying her fiance and trying to forget Kevin, but for this once she wants to live for her own happiness. She's considered calling off the wedding, but the disappointment and chaos that would cause is too much for Demmi to handle. She feels trapped without a way out: unable to forget her feelings for Kevin yet unable to speak up against the wedding. (I think that after she grows and learns to speak up for herself, there could be a pivotal moment where she just bursts out at her parents refusing to marry her fiance, but that's just a possibility).
[ now what? ]: The question is simple, she is either going to keep her idol friend as simply a "friend" hoping that he'll be okay with that or she can call off the wedding and start dating Kevin. She knows what her heart is telling her to do, and she knows what her head is telling her to do. Unfortunately, they are not the same. She's always followed her head before, so does she finally let her heart have a say in the matter? She doesn't know.

[ back off ]: Yuri || SNSD
[ there's something about you ]: She isn't the nicest person ever. She's known as a stuck-up brat who gets everything that she wants and abuses her power over others. She thinks that she's all that and she talks down to almost anyone she comes across. Of course, it's all due to her own insecurities: the typical 'putting down others makes me feel higher' complex. She can talk to anyone, though never in a nice way, and she always has a perfect comeback. Words are her weapons and she wields them well. Still, she is void of friends. No one truly likes her and she knows it. People just pretend to like her to avoid her wrath. Like it would any college student, this hurts Yuri. A lot. Of course, she'd never let anyone see it.
[ why you hating ]: Yuri is one of those people that like to insult Demmi, knowing that Demmi won't fight back. Demmi tries to avoid her, but it never works, Yuri always finds her. While Demmi hates her and Yuri looks down on Demmi, in some way Demmi envies her. She doesn't envy her for being a bully, but for her outgoingness. Demmi wishes she could talk as easily and wittily (probably not a word but you get the point) as Yuri does.

[ that one spark ]: Well, first of all, the second I saw your story I was like "Wow" because it was so organized and everything looked really good and like you put a lot of effort into it. Then, I started reading the different plots and they all sound like together, they can make a REALLY good story and Sorry, But I Drive sounds a lot like me. Of course, I don't have an arranged marriage, but my life was COMPLETELY bland and boring, until I fell for an idol ^^ Of course, I fell for him through a computer screen and he has never even seen me, but it was how I first got into kpop and kpop has added color and spice to my life. I know it sounds kinda cheesy, but that's what the plot reminded me of, so it really pulled me in... And lastly, I'm gonna be totally honest. My best friend was already applying for this fic, so we thought it would be fun if we both got in and our characters interacted in the story =D
[ with all my heart ]: Demmi not only fits the plot, but she also can go through it and make it even more interesting. She's a reasonably easy character to write, but a really fun one. She also has a lot of room to grow and expand which can help her be a dynamic character that can change to the circumstances you need her to be in.

                                                                               e v e r g r e e n

[ almost there ]: ummmmm..... Well I think it would be interesting if Sorry, But I Drive's idol finds out that she's engaged either on the news or from a friend and he gets all mad, but she doesn't understand why since she's oblivious to him liking her. I know this is a crappy suggestion, but my creativity level isn't very high right now... if I come up with anything better I'll PM you =D
[ fairy godmother ]: Kevin singing Demmi to sleep on his shoulder would be really sweet (idk why that popped into my head, but it did, so I might as well ask)
[ finally done ]: So you said not to write a novel for the personality, so I tried to keep it brief, but if it's too short (or long) PLEASE let me know cause I have plenty of other ideas I could write down.

Again, feel free to add anything else you'd like; I just didn't want appliers feeling they did all this writing for nothing, but if you want to show me more of your character, by all means, add!

Just know I won't be using every little detail and things will be changed; also, if you DO edit your application, please let me know in a comment on the fanfic's page :D

Lastly, although I didn't really comment specifically pertaining ro your character, the applicants list will have my author feedback so be on the look out for that (& that I add you to the applicants list when it goes up XD)

Thank you so much for applying & good luck! ^^

Lol, don't worry about it! I know some people are going to forget to follow the rule about the PM especially after going through such a long application :p It's like "YES! I'm finally done, now I can F.I.N.A.L.L.Y. submit this", so you just post it in the comments. Don't worry; although I'm strict on following the rules/organization, I'm also okay with letting things slide and just letting you know ^^

In regards to your application, don't worry too much about the font/layout; as long as it pretty much looks the same without noticeable differences, I'm totally fine with it. I understand AFF's edit boxes are somewhat tricky to maneuver.

There's nothing standing out I need you to change in your application. It's very well thought out. As for your comment, I didn't want people writing a novel since I have a set idea for the character's plot/personality, so I didn't want appliers to think/feel they wasted their time writing something well thought out. However, if you want to include your other ideas, by all means, go ahead! I just didn't want all your hard work to feel like it was thrown away if I don't use something.

Also, just as a side note if you are chosen for this plot, what I had in mind for this plot is that she never finds out who her fiance is until it actual materializes, so the part about her finding out when they're 9 won't be part of the story if she's chosen. I hope that's okay with you! ><

Again, as a note, bear in mind there will be parts I will change or not use to fit my idea for this story~ I hope you'll be fine with that.

Lol, why thank you ^^ I'm a complete organization freak so I have to make the layouts look good :p I'm glad my fanfic really drew you in! Haha, & I'm happy to know you can really relate to Sorry, But I / Drive (that sounds odd, I know...)

Oh?! Your best friend is also apply? If I may ask, who is she? :D I'll be looking forward to her application as well then.
