History:  She is born on August 13, 1994. She is exactly a year younger than her elder sister Yoon Bomi of Apink. She has  2 elder sisters and younger brother. She's very close to her unnie and does everything together. They came from a middle class family, not rich but not poor. She's currently studying at School of Performing Arts Seoul. She showed interest in being an idol earlier than her sister. She became a model for some clothing line when she's 15 and used the money to support her training fees. She's smart and a member of the school government. She knows wushu. She studied wushu  than following her sister in studying taekwondo. She is athletic just like Bomi. Hyemi is a lot girly than Bomi.  Bomi and Hyemi joins cheerleading at school.  Hyemi always sister for being shorter than her. Their parents supports them no matter what they wanna do.

How did they get to be a trainee: She joined SM Auditions when she is 15 years old. She passed and became a trainee.

Time spent as trainee: 2 years.

Life as trainee: Being a trainee seemed not to be very hard but because of the fees, she needed to work extra harder. She is sometimes bullied for being not really rich and her vocals are not that good. She was a very good dancer that awe the other trainees. She's closest to EXO's Tao for being able to know wushu, they train together. One day, Hyemi did a forward flip and was injured. She was immediately brought by Tao to the hospital. She stayed there for a few weeks and was adviced by SMent to stop training but she didn't. She went back to training and practiced her vocals while she's recovering. She then have one of the amazing vocals of SMent.
