SM ENTERTAINMENT AUDITION 2012

Hey guys just today I've been hearing lots about the SM Auditions and I researched about it and alll the stuff and stuff so I wanted to make a blog about it

First of all, they're coming to Australia in September and I know some people who are going or want to go but can't go and some who have no idea whether to go or not. Just wanna talk about it.

Firstly guys, ask yourselves. Is it really what you want?? The auditions are super tough and that's not only the hardest. You get usually around 3-5 callbacks and you go to their locations and audition again and again for them to see if you have potential. The 5th callback needs you to go to South Korea, and some people who go there still do not make it in. You don't get free plain tickets and your studies will defintely be affected.

If becoming a KPOP star is your life then for all means go for it!! But just consider the sacrifices you are making!! It is hard enough to become a trainee, and even if you become one, during your years of training the company can kick you out any time if they think you don't have enough potential or you're not working hard enough etc. ITS SUPER STRICT and you won't have much social life either, because they don't want any bad information/things getting leaked out coz apparently the korean netizens track your past really deep so (and i'm quoting) "say goodbye to your soompi account" or other accounts of social networks you have. When you're a trainee you will usually train for about 2-3 years, depends all on different things, but I read that now its a maximum of 4 years training, and that the companies can't go over 4 years otherwise its considered illegal!! hehe that's sorta good so you don't have to wrory about being too old :P

and two, parents.

most people don't have permission from their parents, or haven't been courageous enough to tell their parents. after reading this link, which i recommend you all read, all the pages!! : http://forums.soompi.com/discussion/364147/sm-entertainment-audition-2011-2012 must read!! MUST MUST MUST!!

after reading that, i STRESS all you guys who wanna audition to tell your parents straight up that you wanna do this and its your dream/life and how much it means to you. they might not agree at first, but (again, pls read the link, its got the writer's experiences etc, reall yehlpful + info about the auditions and requirements blah blah) even if they think that you shouldn't do it/its a waste of money, time/you might enver debut anyway, convince them. maybe at first it'll be tough. and i'm 99% sure it will be if you guys have strict parents etc, do things that you won't usualy do to impress them. show them YOU'RE SERIOUS. and also, VERY importantly, work hard in school and GET GOOD GRADES!! i read on the link, that when you have bad grades its a disadvantage to you and again, the netizens will find out!! anything to make your grades better and convince your parents, DO IT!!

third. plastic surgery. again, all this comes from my reading on the link, i still need to research more though.

most trainees and people who they call back etc usually DO go through plastic surgery at some point, some have it before their debut and if you don't accept they'll take it into account and it probably won't look good for you. they're pretty strict on 'good looks' so if you're not up for plastic surgery... yeah.... again on th elink the person who answered the 60, questions of the boy who is auditioning mentioned his guy friend who auditioned and got 5 CALL BACKS!! he went to South Korea (paying for his own plane ticket, which is like 4000+ pretty sure O.O) and he STILL didn't get it. so be prepared to hear that you didn't get in. again, don't forget that even during your time as a trainee you still may be dropped.

four. time and time off

well again reading the page, what i know is that as a trainee during summer holidays you get to come back to your parents for some time with them, other than that you'll be training and you'll only get around 3-4 hours of sleep per day, and after you debut you'll most likely get less than that. also i read that in korea their studies are about 2  years infront so if your grades are bad... you see why you're at a disadvantage now. because while you study there if your grades are bad, again, its bad fo ryour image and your company WILL NOT BE HAPPY ABOUT THAT.

five. body shape, image, appearance

i read that the stars get weighed every week to make sure they keep up being fit (guys) and are skinny (girls), i read that guys are more focused on keepting fit while girls are more on losing fat and being skinny etc. and if you're pretty you're definetly at an advantage, the answerer wrote that they now will pick looks over talent, so that they can spend less money on plastic surgery for you. also i'm guessing that's teh same reason they don't go to some other countries to hold auditions, coz i read that they only go to the countries who give them the most money, so if you live in a country that won't give them enough money, try going to the ones that do. again, this is all YOUR money we are talking about (i mean for the plane tickets to go to the places where they hold auditions)

also about what you should be prepared for and your attitude to all this, (again, i'm quoting) : "Be passionate, strong and thick-skinned. Because in this type of business you will go through alot of heartache and sacrifice." and i'd take his word for it!!

six... studies being affected (school)

your studies will definetly be affected. one i guess with the 3-4 hours of sleep you get, you'll have to find time in that to get your homework done,a nd at the same time keep up with studies and as stressed ebfore, GET GOOD GRADES O.O and again, if you trainf or 2 years and don't end up debuting after all you'll be behind on your studies back in your country/korea wherever you live/are and you'll find it hard, obviously.

there's way more to this but again please see the link. its super good!!! lots of questions answered!! also its got what to prepare for the audition so please check it out guys if you are interested in auditioning :)

but, after all these sad and tough words, for those of you who see being a KPOP star as your only dream you have ever considered, or its your life, or its the only thing you wanna do, of course TRY OUT AND AUDITION!!

again, be thick-skinned and know that at any time you can get kicked out/dropped,  but be strong and determined if this is what you what to do. you need to hand in to the end to be successful. you can do it if you hang in till the end ^^ again, all this comes into account if you pass the auditions first :) if you get a callback YES!! also there's lots of handy tips about all this stuff on the link so PLEASE PLEAES PLEASE PLESAE CAN'T STRESS IT ANYMORE read it and if your english isn't good ask me for any clear ups. k??

and above all guys, i got some really good quotes recently i'd like to share :)

from my lovely woomin4ever unnie: "Dream high and reach for the sky!!" hwaiting together unnie!! ^^

and from the link: "

Inspiration is what gets you started.

Motivation is what keeps you going.

And your Dream is what will guide you along the path you have chosen

this one below is one that the girl thinks of when she was trying to convince her parents, and she says its words to live by, trust her ^^

"You have to treat others the way you want to be treated"

but guys overall don't give up!!! if its what you want to do, then do it!!!! ^^ you have lots of support from everyone else who's auditioning :D every supports eachother here :) good luck and you can do it!! wish you all the best. ^^

p.s. this was supposed to be a supportive page for those who are auditioning or thinking about auditioning but it sorta turned into a fact page coz i read all the stuff and it became so strict, tough and serious so i decidded to write about it. sorry guys, but i fully support all of you who are auditioning :) don't give up. fight to the end and know that there are people backing you up!! btw i might dedicate a special one off chapter/story for those auditioning :) so please stick around :))

thanks :)

HWAITING!!! \^^/
