[Father] Bang Dong Shin – 53 – Photographer - Strict, old-fashioned man, not someone you want to mess with because of his very short temper but he is a caring father and very reliable. – Il Soo and his father have a rather awkward relationship. Il Soo is scared that if he says something wrong it would provoke and angry his father which isn’t so hard. He hates it when his father yells therefore Il Soo often avoids him. However, his father only wants to protect him from making mistakes he has done when he was young. Nevertheless, he always encourages Il Soo in everything he does even though he doesn’t show it often.
[Mother] Bang Joon Ah – 48 – Teacher - Lovely, caring, talkative woman anyone would love to have as a mother. She would support her children no matter what as long as they’re happy.  – Il Soo’s mother is his idol and he always looks up to her. She provides him with a lot of moral support and understanding. They have the kind of relationship where a son would gladly go shopping with his mother and drink coffee with her female friends. Il Soo adores his mother and always helps her knowing how it can be hard to take care of the whole family.
[Brother] Bang Min Soo [C.A.P.] -  20 – Teen Top – Tough-looking guy with a great heart. Always makes sure everything is in the right place and cares a lot about the well-being of his dongsaengs and friends. He can be serious and hot-headed at times and it’s very hard to calm his down when he’s angry. Nevertheless, he’s very fun to be around and he’s a real daredevil as he likes to take risks. – Il Soo and Min Soo have a very brotherly relationship. They love to muck around and they can talk for hours about anything. The get into fights occasionally over small things but because they’re used to being with each other all the time, they forgive each other very easily. Il Soo is the only person who has ever seen the charismatic rapper cry, whine or act cute. Whenever one is in trouble, pain or is happy, the other is always there to share those feelings.
[Sister] Lee Ara  - 14 – Student – A lovely, down-to-earth girl, Ara is everything everyone wants in their little sister. Even though she’s 14, she acts like an older sister towards her brothers and shows a lot of support and protection towards them. Even though she looks vulnerable, when it comes to defending herself or someone close to her, she’s a real beast. – Il Soo and Ara are very close. Il Soo knows he can talk to Ara about anything even though she’s mute and that she will support him no matter what. Il Soo is very protective over his little sister and it is rather annoying so they get into fights from time to time. Nevertheless, Ara doesn’t know what she would do without her brother because he’s always there for her and she looks up to her big brother.
history: 
Born in Busan, Il Soo is the eldest child of a relatively common Korean family. He had a normal childhood, his parents providing him and his siblings with everything they wanted even though they weren’t too wealthy. Il Soo grew up in a rather dangerous part of Busan and since a young age, he has learnt how to protect himself by learning kick-boxing and a bit of gymnastics. Il Soo was rather popular in high school mainly because of his looks but wasn’t a kingka, firstly because he always stood up for those who were bullied. Il Soo learnt Sign Language when he was in high school so he can ‘talk’ to his younger sister when the family found out she was mute.
When he was in middle school, Il Soo discovered his passion for dancing. Since then he didn’t even go for a day without practicing and improving his skills. At the age of 14, he started to get involved in underground dance competitions with a goal to earn money for schooling at Seoul Arts High School and moving to Seoul. With the time he became very popular and respected amongst many underground artists some of them being B.A.P’s Bang Yong Guk and Big Bang’s T.O.P. When he was 16, he moved to Seoul on his own to continue his school there but he still continued with his underground activities as well. During one of his performances when he was 17, a scout spotted him and offered him a spot as a trainee in an Entertainment company which Il Soo gladly accepted.
personality: 
Il Soo is rather quiet and distant around people. He talks only when has to and takes his time opening up to others. However, he has a big heart and is a kind of person everyone would love to be friends with. He’s loyal, trustworthy and honest. He sees things the way they are but always has faith and is a very supportive friend. He sometimes goes hard on himself and is a type of a person who believes he can to better than he’s already doing. Il Soo is very honest and even though he hates seeing people hurt, he prefers to tell them the truth rather them or pick on themselves, other or even him. It’s not easy to piss him off. Il Soo has a lot of patience and doesn’t hold grudges unless you really, really piss him off. He cares about those who are important t ohm and would do anything for their happiness, often putting others before himself.
Like any other young adult, Il Soo has his crazy moments as well. He can be outgoing and very dirty-minded but is still fun to be around. He’s a major risk-taker and is never afraid of experimenting with things. Il Soo easily gets bored if things are always the same so from time to time he changes stuff around like his hairstyle or furniture in his room. He’s hardworking, fast learner and even though it doesn’t seem like it, he’s very smart but doesn’t like talking too much or showing off. He’s very passionate and devoted when it comes to things he loves to do and is protective and loyal to people he loves. However, he can be stubborn at times as he has a great pride and hates showing his emotions in front of other. He prefers to ‘suffer in silence’ if something bothers him and his pride would never allow him to cry in front of someone.

When active in sports or dancing, which happens on casual occasion, Il Soo will always wear track pants and a wife beater or a hoodie with a pair of comfy sneakers. He doesn’t like to wear too much accessories but if it’s for stage or any special occasion, he’ll put up with it.

They broke up because Il Soo was sadly convinced that they couldn’t work out and since then Minzy wasn’t able to accept the fact that they’re over. Minzy is still very clingy onto Il Soo and often claim she still loves him. Her constant calls, flirting and love announcements make people think her and Il Soo are a couple and it annoys the hell out of Il Soo because it makes it harder for him to impress his own crush.

how was your trainee life?: 
Il Soo started his trainee life in YG Entertainment when he was 17. He was scouted by the company’s representative during one of his competitions and was offered a placement in the auditions. Il Soo auditioned and passed. After 2 years of hard training, Il Soo was meant to debut with one of YG’s new boy groups but the project was abandoned as most of the picked members dropped out. Il Soo then got an offer from several companies to train under their label; however he picked Red Dragon entertainment as they offered him a lot more than the other companies. The last two years he’s been training in Red Dragon Ent., Il Soo has found fairly interesting and fun. It was hard and tiring but Il Soo didn’t mind. He knew that all the sweat would pay up some day.
