How you got in to SM Entertainment: Seung Jin, Seung Rin's older brother, worked regularly as a registrar at a local coffee shop. Seung Rin always offered to keep her brother company while he worked, eventually helping out if needed. An SM scout was a regular customer there and upon seeing her once smile at a little girl who asked for a refill, the scout fell in love with her smile and asked if she wanted to be a CF model. Thinking of it as a joke, Seung Rin admitted that she once wanted to be an idol but it seemed to be too much of a dream so she gave up. She was eventually asked for a demonstration and sang a capella . No sooner than a week after that incident, Seung Rin was contacted and was asked to perform for SM.E's representatives, still thinking her brother was setting her up, she blew the audition. Once she realized it wasn't a joke, she pleaded for a second chance, they gave her a week to audition again. She tried hard and had to audition for a third time before they accepted her as a trainee.
