5 people from k-industry who have my respect (5 males)

Since I'm planning to not be on a lot due to my desire to bulk write (write for two fanfics at around the same time) I'm going to leave you something inspirational and to think about. So in two blogs I'll present you 5 people in the kpop world, whether they since, act, etc who have my uttermost respect even if they aren't my biases

So we'll start with number 1.

1. Kim Heechul
http://star.koreandrama.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/01/Kim-Hee-Chul13.jpg My first initial impression of Heechul was not a good one. I thought he was vain and gay. Until I realised that fanservice is part of the norm so I managed to change my mind about him. Usually I get unneasy when I hear of people who bluntly speak their mind and so that was the case with Heechul as well. But then I found out about his struggles, he thought he would have to leave Super Junior since he was acting, on radio all around the same time. On Strong Heart when he talked about this he also said touching words about Eunhyuk and how he did something that made him feel touched. But what got to me the most was when he mentioned about Leeteuk's greeting process and how it made him cry. In return Leeteuk cried as well and it was that moment I came to see there was more to Heechul than what I'd observed. Other things that got him my respect was the letter he wrote to that anti who tried to kill Yunho, he cried the most when Hangeng left and he cried in front of their fans. That takes a lot of balls. So that's why Heechul is on here, though he's blunt with his personality at least his honesty and loyalty are very important key factors to him.

2. Ok Taecyeon

taecyoon.jpgHold on, what?! That's probably what some of you are thinking. Truth be told my first impression on him was mixed. I didn't know what to believe at the time. For a while I was convinced that he was a good guy, it changed to me thinking he was vain for showing off his abs almost all the time. I didn't know whether he could sing or rap well, then I came across the saesang rumored news about 2pm and I was just disgusted. Any respect for him I may have had went down the drain.

So what changed then? Why is he on here if I lost respect for him? Well... I guess I realised that for one those reports can always be fabricated to make an idol look worse than they really are. I watched Idol Army, it felt weird having all the members together and happy-ish. Taecyeon seemed to try his best though his singing wasn't remarkable or his dancing he gave his best plus in one episode they wanted to invite some college girls to join them in the snow. Like a gentleman he politely asked them and as a result they came along (in heels mind you crazy...)Though it isn't just that. He had to have a forced love-line with Yoona in F.O 2 that would have been more than awkward to fulfill seeing the two already had a scandal together (hey I don't know the truth about it)

Though out of the 5 of the guys on here I the level of respect I have for him isn't as high, it's something that can be changed with time whether it's negative or positive.

3. Kim Jong Kook

5a0aab26b949fc5797353a6fe82f1690_large.jSo for those of you who don't know who Kim Jong Kook is I'll give you a run down. Take a man born in the late 70's plus a group called Turbo, heaps of muscle and a high voice and you get Kim Jong Kook or Kookie, Sparta, Commander Kook or Han Namja (one man)
So Jong Kook is at the moment an active member of Running man, a star on other variety shows at times and most importantly a ballad singer. He has everything going for him except a wife (please hurry up for the love of--)

But not everything was going well for him to begin with. Through a friend on here I learned that he used to be in a gang when he was younger (it explains his epic fighting skills to a degree) but stopped when his mum asked him too. I found that very sweet of him though this was discovered much later on when I'd already had my respect for him.

He debuted in nineteen ninety eight (I think) with Turbo and he served as the main singer. Their agency however was considered low than dirt. We cassies think that SM treated DBSK bad but oh boy even after reading this about KJK's past I began to reconsider.

http://www.isubs-squad.com/forum/topic/3920-kim-jong-kooks-past-turbo-behind-story/

Basically from that we learn, hospital visits occured three times a month. The duo boarded planes five times a day and had about 10 to a maximum of 17 schedules a day. They were even beaten by the agency they had put so much trust in as well as extorting money. The people responsible were arrested but the trauma of the agency was too much for the member Kim Jung Nam. He wanted to leave though KJK asked him not to, and so he did leaving KJK to go alone until he recruited the newest member Mikey. All responsibility about Mikey went to JK during that time.

However things still weren't going to improve yet. After leaving his agency with the disbanding of Turbo his individual activities were put on hold thanks to the meddling of his ex-agency. They'd told song writers that they weren't allowed to write songs for him putting him in a slump. He called the agency to try and get them to stop but they threatened to kill him. Still he released his second solo album (what got to me was when he teared up telling the story on Strong Heart) Then there was the results of the strenuous dance practices. He had a disk herniation relapse in other words a slipped disk. It was painful to watch him on Family Outing when that professional fighter threw him to the ground on his back because I think it would have aggravated the previous injuries (producers, I loathe you for not taking better care of him...)

So if his story wasn't enough to get my respect it would also have to be just how he looks after others. He cares for his 'kids' on running man and though he teases Gwangsoo on the show he actually takes good care of him in real life. On Family Outing you see him hug or check the other guys if they got hurt as well as being a gentleman to YeJin and Hyori (who does get carried away sometimes). Plus his manner hands (he tries not to touch girls if he holds them) and the fact he loves his family.

Ok if you're crying then good, I've proved my point

4. MC Mong
mcmong..jpgThough he is in a bit of trouble at the moment (I forget what for) I came across a story which touched my heart and has gotten my respect for him despite the controversy.

In 2004 he had a team called People Crew in which Dalmatian's current leader Inati was a part of. Inati was going to feature in MC's album but pain in his head caused him to go to hospital where he was diagnosed with a rare brain hemorrhage. Inati went into a coma and the doctors feared for the worst, that waking up would be difficult.

Guess who stayed with Inati during that time? MC Mong. Through tears he promised to make an album in his friend's name if he woke up as well as nursing and paying for Inati's treatments.

Eventually Inati woke up and completely recovered from the ordeal and was put as a member in MC Mong's group which came to be Dalmatian.

Now I teared up when I heard of this story. Inati is not one of my most popular biases but I cannot imagine Dalmatian without him. There are times we freak out when our biases have serious accidents yet we never think of what it would be like if they suddenly died. It's because of this story that I have respect for MC Mong regardless of what he's done now and what he may do in the future.

5. Yoo JaeSuk
Yoo_Jae_Suk_31102010184401.jpgAh one of the best master of Ceremonies in the kpop world. His antis seem far and few and I think I know why. He treats everyone he meets with dignity and respect. On an episode of Running man he asks Youngsaeng about his arm (YS was the guest for the day and he had hurt his arm before), he hugs Song Joongki when he cries after he gives his thank you speech and there was also the truth and lie game where he was strapped to a lie detector. When asked if there was anyone in Running Man he wanted to replace he honestly said there was no one. That is a heart of gold.

Then there's also the fact he looks after the guests on other shows. He is polite and courteous when he isn't trying to make fun of people on shows and has worked hard to get to where he is. That's why he's here, because he's one of the most hard working people I know :)
