Currently listening to f(x)'s new mini album, Electric Shock.

(I should be studying but what am I doing here in AFF?)

 

1. Electric Shock

I got to agree that this song is addictive. (Am I doing a review here? Well, here goes nothing.)

It seems that all the members got quite the equal parts. 

But I'm quite disappointed with the chorus part. 

It basically repeat the same word. 'Electric Shock"

But I'll let it pass because they pronounce it correctly. ♥

 

2 & 3. Jet & Zig Zag

I promise these two songs sound so familiar.

If people said that these two are the same song, I would believe them.

Most of the time, it seems like they are talking instead of singing in these songs.

But the songs have better chorus than Electric Shock. 

 

4. Beautiful Stranger

Well, hello there, my favourite track from this mini album.

I am totally digging this song. I love it when Krystal and Luna sing a not-cutesy song together.

Krystal's and Luna's voices are absolute ear candies, okay? Fullstop.

I like the melody and the "O oh o oh oh, beautiful stranger" part is so beautiful. 

And Amber's raps are so cool in here. 

 

5. Love Hate

Well, the genre of this song is a typical genre of f(x).

It's catchy and the part that I remember the most is "I hate you, I love you".

Oh and another one. At 1:08, did Krystal sing "Ali Baba"? 

I must misheard it. Shall check the lyrics later.

 

6. Let's Try

This might be my second fave track in this mini.

I like the beat of the song. It's kind of reggae and I like reggae.

I can hear the all of the members (yes, all of the member) sing in the song.

What I mean by singing is that they don't fast talking like in Jet or Zig Zag.

And props to Amber's high notes and singing parts.

 

Overall, I like this mini album. My Top 3 tracks are of course Electric Shock, Beautiful Stranger and Let's Try.

Being as bored and as weird as I always do, I rate this as 3.5 out of 5. (Please don't kill me.)

 

Gosh, what am I doing? Seriously.
