Prom Night

Last Friday was prom night. I was planning to go with a friend as my partner but people kept saying that I should go with the creep of the class. So I did. I didn't really care. The only thing I was supposed to do with him (man, that sounded wrong... soo anyways) was to take a picture and walk down the red carpet. So when we all gathered in the ballroom we had to dance lanchier, which is an odd dance form 18'Th century. After that, there were nominations, we all split up according to our classes.

In my class, we had to nominate someone of us to represent grade 9.

The king of the ball, the queen of the ball, and the pair of the ball.

The king was this boy in a really cool suit. Then it was time to vote for the queen of the ball... My partner (aka. the creep) sprang up yelling: "Diana! Diana! For the queen!” Imagine how embarrassed I got. But then the other boys followed suit and I became the nominated from our class to be the queen of the ball. I didn't know what happened; I think my mouth was wide agape. Then the pair of ball happened to be two girls, we all thought it was funny and no - there aren't lesbians.

When it was the final voting, all the nominated from each class stood on the scene, including me - and had to present themselves. When it was time to vote once again, a mean girl from our class went to people, to say that they should vote for her so that I wouldn't win, and she said that even though she wasn't nominated. That resulted in nobody wining.

I think I was kind of mad, not because I wanted to win but because she was jealous of me and she wanted to be the one nominated. But come on, it's just for fun… Why do you screw it up just because you're hurt -.-

Later that day, we went to beach and drank a lot. You can drink here when you're 16 (:

Some people jumped into the water in only their undies. Yeah... Uhm... I think it was pretty cold. My classmates went kind of crazy, they did body tequila on each other. That was when I stopped. It's kind of too nasty for my taste. Prom night was fun but it also showed me how horrible people can be.

Today, I visited my old school. Nostalgia filled me walking down the streets of childhood. It's weird to know that the place still exists and is full of life, even when I'm not there. I walked by my best friend from kindergarten’s house, I was just about to push the button so it would make the door clock ring but I stopped. I don't know why but I turned back and darted home. Really weird...
