Personality:
Despite being an adult, I am very innocent, naive and gullible. Though I'm trying to be more cautious around people, especially strangers... Let's just say it's not working very well. Maybe it's because of my soft-heart, but I can't just stand by and do nothing when someone else is in trouble and needs help. For example, someone looks like they're panicking, and is in need of a cellphone. I won't hesitate to lend it to them... only to realize later that I'll never get it back. Due to this, I tend to be the target for pranks a lot. As for innocence, I don't seem to understand any kind of sick minded jokes. When someone says one of those dirty minded things, I can't understand. It's probably because I grew up around nice, pure minded people like myself (xD). Although I might seem 'thick' or 'dense' because of my slowness at dirty things, I actually can 'get with the program' extremely fast. Just drop a little clue, and I'm tuned in.

Also, I think I'm responsible, kind, dependable and I have a 'big sister' like instinct, but I'm quite camera-shy. You can depend on me to get things done well and on time. By natural instinct, I tend to take care of and look out for those around me. Though it can sometimes result in my nagging at them, I only do it because I care for them. Another thing about me is that I can sense the atmosphere/mood well so I know what or what not to say at the right moment. Most of the time I filter my words before I say them so I offend the least amount of people, but there are occasional slip ups. I'm usually camera shy, and that is because I lack self-confidence, something I am trying to get over. My friends say that I am very 'photo-genetic', but personally, I'm not sure about that...

All the good things aside, I also have bad traits like everyone else. At times, I can be stubborn and short tempered as well as easily annoyed and be other things such as a worry wart. I can keep my temper under control most of the time, but when someone starts arguing with me even though they are the one that is clearly wrong, my temper can flare up and become explosive. However, my temper rarely shows up because I try my best to keep it buried deep inside so that I can get along with others well. Most of the time, I am the patient kind that people can talk about their problems to without feeling uncomfortable. Though people come to me with their worries and problems, I never show mine. I usually keep it bottled up inside, and when it threatens to overflow, I let it out by method like yelling into a pillow or punching some targets. My stubbornness shows up when people try to make me do things I don't like or try to change my way of thinking when I've already made up my mind. Also, I am extremely cautious for most things, and that can sometimes come off as a scaredy cat for some people, but I'm just a worry wart. Examples would be riding a roller coaster. What if my shirt gets caught? What if my seat belt doesn't work properly and I get thrown off? Stuff like that.

Family background:
I'm from a rather poor family before I joined the entertainment world. My family was struggling even more after my younger sister was born when I was eleven and when we bought a house when I was fifteen. Before we moved to Canada when I was seven, we were actually pretty well off in China. Though we weren't extremely rich, we were on the above average side. However, after we moved to Canada, my family's income dropped a lot and it was a hard adjustment for my parents. Only my family moved here (me and my parents) and the rest of my relatives are still back in China, so it didn't make things easier for my parents. Things were going pretty well, actually, until my sister was born when I was eleven. The first two years were still fine, until she became really demanding, stubborn and bossy. My parent's attention all went to her, and I began to feel neglected. From then on, we often had arguments. Things got even worse after we bought a house four years after my sister was born. Money is tighter than ever, and it resulted in more arguments. Well, I guess the arguments are short and not very severe. Most of the time, my family gets along pretty well.

Trainee story:
I first got in through the audition in Canada for JYPE when I was around sixteen. I was noticed for my soft yet strong vocals during the audition, so I passed and was accepted into the company and I moved to Korea to train. However, like some of the other trainees, I was kicked out not too long after my audition because of my lack of confidence. After that, I lived with my cousin, Kahi from After School, for a while before seeing that SME was holding an audition. Kahi made me go to it, and to my surprise, I passed. I didn't receive much support from my parents during my trainee days, first because they were so far away, and second because they didn't really approve of me ditching my studies to peruse a dream like becoming an idol. However Kahi helped me get through my trainee days without too much trouble. Kahi would always visit me and we would go out for meals together or would just hang out together. Kahi is someone I look up to, and she was my motivation to succeed because she helped me so much.

Nobody really bullied me or bothered me during my trainee period, probably because I kind of acted like their big sister through the whole time. I took care of them like they were my siblings, and they treated me with respect in return. The training was tiring and long, but it was fun and worth it because I loved what I was doing. I've always loved singing so training for it was no problem. I probably even wanted to stay extra long sometimes because I loved it so much. Many of the trainees and I would do duets or something together and my trainee days were probably some of the best times I've ever had.
