Sori is rather toned, and she has thick joints (like ankles and wrists) from fighting and doing labour work a lot when she was younger trying to stay alive, and her shoulders are a little wider than the average girl. Her hair is long and slightly wavy, and she'll sometimes tie it up into a ponytail. She has two different eye colours, her left eye is a very dark brown while her left eye is more of an amber colour. Sori has a large scar on her back from when her father whipped her.

When she was young, Sori had a twin sister, Younghee, who was very frail. She could hardly get out of bed, and Sori did her best to take care of her. However, her parents made it very difficult. Before Sori and Younghee were born, their family was actually quite wealthy. However, after their source of income disappeared, things began to get chaotic. Her father was a heavy drinker and was almost always drunk. Her mother was a player and cheater who would spend the night with other men while getting a few bucks here and there along with some food. Almost every other day, Sori would hear her parents fighting and yelling, her mother getting beat by her father when he found out that she had cheated on him again. The fight would go on for hours, and it eventually ended with her father passing out and her mother running out the door.

When Sori was born, a flock of crows landed by the window. It was instantly taken as a bad omen. Then, a fortune teller told her parents that one of the twins, specifically Sori, would bring death and bad luck to the family. Sure enough, Sori's twin turned out to be a sickly baby, her father soon lost his job after his children were born, and Sori's mother found out that she couldn't have a child anymore because of some complications due to child birth. Her parents blamed everything on Sori, who had no choice but to listen silently and take the beatings. That was why her father became a heavy drinker and her mother into a player. Sori feels guilty all the time, believing that it really is her fault after hearing it so many times.

Sori couldn't depend on her parents for money, so she would have to try and earn money herself. She learned several circus and magic tricks from asking around, and she would perform them to get a few coins everyday that she would buy food with for Younghee and herself. The two girls were actually pretty happy when they didn't think about their parents, and they loved each other dearly. Younghee didn't believe that Sori was the reason for their misfortunes. When they were around seven years old, Younghee's health finally began to improve. However, just when she thought things would be okay, everything crashed.

One day when Sori got home after buying some bread, she realized that something was wrong. It was way too quiet. She walked in, calling for Younghee, but got no response. It turned out that her father had lost a bet against someone, and he would have all his belongings taken away if he didn't have enough money to pay. His rage mixed with alcohol did not make things better. He smashed all the furniture and killed Sooyun's mother, who had been unlucky enough to be home that day. Though it shocked Sori when she found her mother lying in a pool of blood, what she cared most about was her sister. When she sprinted into their room and saw that it was empty, she panicked. Later, she found out that her father had sold her sister off somewhere in hopes of getting enough money. Sori was furious when she found out, and she stabbed her father to death that night. The guilt that she couldn't save her sister, and the horror of killing someone stuck with her from then on. Many things remind her of that day, and that's why she tends to blank out a lot and not talk.

The first impression most people have of Sori is that she is cold. It has a lot to do with her sharp eyes and chilling glare. She rarely talks, making her very distant and mysterious as not many people know what she's thinking about. She seems to have a poker face on all the time, and nobody has ever been able to see through it yet. Sori purposely distances herself because she doesn't want her bad luck to rub off on anyone else, believing that they'll die or have misfortune because of her. When strangers talk to her, she'll just give them the cold shoulder and ignore them, resulting in her making extremely few friends. However, when she does talk, it's (supposed to be) very useful, but she tends to talk in circles and riddles. The reason for that is because she doesn't want them to be thankful to her or they might try to get closer to her.

Although most people don't get to know her enough to know this, Sori is actually very kind. She thinks for others before herself (because she often thinks that it would be better if she was neverborn), and she is very kind to those that are dear to her. She also has a big sister instinct, always worrying about pointless things (even thought she rarely shows it). Also, Sori is extremely protective because of what happened to her sister before. That also makes her kind of possessive, angering her when others touch her stuff without permission.

Also, Sori has a lot of trust issues. But who can blame her after what happened when she was young? She rarely trusts anybody, and they would have to do a lot for her to start trusting them. Something like risking their life for her would have to happen twice for her to even begin. Sori is also very suspicious all the time. She is very observant, so she would pick out the smallest details and often misinterpret them to be suspicious actions instead of just accidents.

Daehyun has a very calm personality, and he also seems very distant. He rarely talks and mostly observes instead. He is very sharp, and picks out the smallest details. Observing makes him very intelligent when it is combined with the knowledge he has beforehand. When Daehyun does talk, it's always useful. Though he doesn't voice out his thoughts, there are actually a lot of things going on through his mind. Also, Daehyun had a very sharp mind, allowing him to "pick up" on things quickly and can easily go with the flow. Daehyun is very secretive so he doesn't like to talk about himself or his background. One of the reasons he doesn't really speak is because he's shy and gets embarrassed easily. Also, he is very tough and hates to show weakness. However, dispite his cold aura, he's actually a gentleman. Daehyun is also very protective as he always watches out for those around him from afar.

At first it's very cold and distant. Not really awkward since neither party feels the need to speak with each other. Sori felt that she couldn't trust him at first since nobody actually knows much about him, but after a while of getting to know each other better, she slowly began to open up. Then it progressed to that they enjoy each others' company. Eventually, it's an shy puppy/fluffy love.
