Background: Hyun Ri is the twin sister of Teen Top's Niel. Niel was 8 minutes older than her.They were born in a rich family They we're a happy family. Their parents bought them similar clothes except that Neil wears the boy version of the clothes while she wears the girly version. They did things together, they we're not separated because if they are they will both cry. They studied at the same school together. Niel was always there to protet her sister. They we're always the center of bullying at school. Their parents separated when they we're 8 year old because of family problems and who will take care of the business in China. Hyun Ri's father took her and flew to China while Niel stayed at South Korea. They are not allowed to communicate with each other. Hyun Ri studied in China, her angelic personality was still there but she learned wushu. She grew up forgetting about her brother. She doesn't know him anymore until Niel debuted as a Teen Top member. One day, her parents are together again so she went back to Incheon with her father. Niel and her was very cold to each other as soon as they met each other and they can't believe they are twins. Niel was the one who made the move to be closer to Hyun Ri again. Their parents let them live on a house at Seoul so it will be easier for the siblings to go to where they want.

How you both met: Niel invited a lot of K-pop idols for their birthday. The year Hyun Ri went back to Seoul. The party was held by their family at one of their hotels. Hyun Ri was then introduced to the K-pop idols and the business partners of their family. Niel introduced her personally to Infinite, EXO, SHINee, and other kpop groups.

How you got accepted: When, Hyun Ri was close to her brother again. Niel told her to join Woolim Entertainment auditions. She was on her way to Woolim Ent., she was casted by SM representatives because she was singing so loud because of her headphones are at its fullest. She joined the auditions that day. On the other side, Niel was at the Woolim auditions and didn't see her sister there. He was mad but he was worried where his sister is. She passed the auditions and signed a trainee contract immediately. Niel went home, and saw Hyun Ri talking to their parents, he shouted at her. Hyun Ri ran to him and let him saw the contract she signed. He was very happy. After 1 year, Hyun Ri decided to switch agencies due to trainee pressure. She can't take the pressure so she joined the trainee exchanged program and she was then transferred to Woolim.

Trainee Duration: 1 year in SM, 2 years in Woolim

Trainee background: When Hyun Ri was in SMent, she was well treated on the first half of the year. On the other,she was really pressured. She was chosen to be a part of a girl group so she needed to practice almost 20 hours a day with almost no rest. SHe was friends with Exo's Tao because they learn wushu together in China and in Korea. She also have to maintain her diet and she became weak. Her body didn't endure all those and was confined in the hospital. She have a lot of friends but they became distant to her when she was chosen for the newest girl group and hates her because she's very new then she'll be chosen easily. She decided to switch agencies and trained in Woolim.

In Woolim, her health was always monitored. She eats well and practice for almost 15 hours a day but with a lot of rest. She was not pressured like before. She gained a lot of friends. She was closest to Acube trainees especially APINK who always visit Woolim.
