So a fanfic writer friend was very much insulted today.

You see, we don't expect that EVERYONE will like what we wrote. You are NOT entitled to say or think that you like it. For example, if you don't like reading angst, then don't read it. Or you could say it nicely. SAY IT NICELY.

Saying it ONCE is enough. So you don't like it. It disheartens a writer but still, thank you for your point of view and everyone moves on. It was clear: You don't like it. It is already established that you won't read it anymore.

Why bother commenting again and repeating the same sentiments and this time, in a much more annoying and very rude rate?

My friend would have just ignored your comment and rolled her eyes, But you were just RUDE, RUDE and RUDE.

And mind you, this was not the first time. You only didn't do that to her. A lot of fanfic writers including ME have been appalled by your rudeness. But we kept on understandding you. We chose to reply nicely and look over the insulting remarks. We gave you a lot of chance; quite a LOT of chance.

Of course, you have all the right to point out the flaws of a story. Someone has to say it. But do you have to be so rude? At first I was just,"'Nah...this person just has a sharp tounge." But my goodness, you keep on repeating and repeating that same rude manner.

Rudeness is uncalled for. 

Even if you say you are just giving an opinion, it doesn't settle well with us. It actually bothers us. It insults us.

Please. You can pass your message without being rude. 

I've been keeping this burden for such a long time but once my friend snapped, that did it. You were too much. I'm sorry. I can't tolerate you anymore. I've tried but the last threads of my patience has left. Thank you for the nice and not so nice comments. Thank you for not reading my stories anymore. There are still others giving criticsms but are not as rude as you. As I've said before, IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU'RE READING, THEN DON'T READ IT. *Me is happily showing you the door.*

I'm quite sure YOU will get to read this. I have been mulling for so long if I will make this post. Thank you for the rude remark you posted on my friend recently. It ignited the heavy feeling that I have been keeping since 2010. That friend is a respected and amazing writer. You should have shown even a percent of politeness towards her, as a reader, that's your responsibility. 

I just hope you'll be nicer to other fanfic writers after this. 

My friend is very much happy she won't be seeing your rude remarks again. She may have lost one reader but there are still an army of us that loves her and her stories.

And that ends my rant. In a way, I have to thank you but for your rudeness? I won't.

"You have the right not to like my fic, but not for making rude comments. If you don't like it, don't read it. Now I'll ban you from my LJ. I don't ask everybody to like ON. It's impossible anyway. But rudeness is unacceptable. Thanks for the blocking menu on LJ, I'm now free."
