TVXQ split...planned?
Ive been meaning to write this for quite a while and now I think Im just gonna come out with it. Here's my view of whatever crap is going on between HoMin and JYJ. My views are from the perspective of a business student so maybe you might find it a bit odd. So here it is.
I think the split was planned. I know this sounds outrageous..but I think it was. I mean really now....dont you guys think that the split is just a little too...convinient? I mean they split into 3:2. Just like that. RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE. JYJ on one side and HoMin on the other. Exactly in the order they used to stand togther. I find that a little suspicious. Another thing that just doesnt fit is Junsu. He's been an SM trainee since he was 12. The longest out of the 5 and his close friendship with Yunho [Yes,I firmly believe HoSu were extremely close] doesnt exactly scream 'I hate my life here'. Wouldnt he have been aware of how things went on?
In Tvn Taxi and Knee Drop Guru,HoMin said "We didnt know about the lawsuit". This for me is a straight out LIE! How can they have NOT known? Werent they all living together? If such a discussion had happened, they wouldnt have known? Or did Jaejoong decide to call Junsu and Yoochun into his room and left HoMin in the lounge so that they could talk about their plan to sue? I think HoMin were aware of what was going to happen and Junsu's tweets prove it. He claimed that and I quote 'I thought they were the enemy of all of us hyung, but I guess not'. Now Junsu is emotional but I doubt he'd have posted this without thinking and Im certain he wrote this in response to Yunho's bull about not knowing anything.
Now we all are aware of JYJ's increasing popularity despite SM's attempts to quel them. Now,here's where the business part comes in. One thing we need to look at is the fact that the entertainment industry is just one big business. SM is a company and the artists are their products which they market to us,the consumers. If I was an entertainment giant, and I had this one product that made alot of money, call it a cashcow if you may,I would want to keep milking it in the long run aswell. But how long can I make this product last? Here's a thought. Why dont I stop making it and relaunch it later so that the demand for it increases. This is what I think happened to DBSK.
JYJ breaks off and SM blocks their activities and then the internet is flooded with pics of JYJ's luxury cars and homes and what not. Yes,the drama's and international tours raked in alot of money but activities being blocked in Japan and Korea can lead to a huge dip in their earnings. I have a sneaking suspicion that SM might be paying JYJ as compensation for blocking their activities. Wait, here me out. This will make sense in a bit.
Now when these 5 boys decided to sign their contracts with the company,Im sure the time-limit was listed and they knew what they were getting into and were willing to do so. This demolishes the 'slave-contact' claim which I always found really stupid. Thats not possible and highly unethical and had that been true,SM's shares would have been in tatters because no investor is stupid enough to put his money in a company whose legal department is ed up. So I never believed the slave contract thing. As far as Im concerned,JYJ were completely aware of what they were doing and the contract had nothing to do with the split. It was just there to create hype.
In business we study that promotion is all about generating the interest of consumers so that they will buy more. The breakup of TVXQ is by far the biggest scandal in kpop to date because lets face it..our 5 boys were more famous than their seniors and BoA seems to be disappearing into hollywood. Heres the main point. I think SM planned to break them up because that would mean alot of mad cassies and even non-cassies would be curious. Sure, initially they'd make a loss but has anyone ever thought about what would happen if the 5 came back? The money thats gonnna roll in? DB5K's comeback would probably rake in more money than all other SM artists combined. SM's profits and shares would go through the roof! JYJ has alot of overseas fans and I always wondered why HoMin dont expand internationally. Answer: They dont need to because JYJ is doing that for them. Anyone who becomes a fan of JYJ would ultimately find out about HoMin and that would give them the recognition they need. So whilst JYJ focuses on international activities,TVXQ focus on Japan and Korea and this would result in an even larger fanbase than before with international and local fans combined and increasing.
All this drama with Twitter and controversial remarks and the 'Oh Yunho doesnt answer my calls and reply to my texts' thing is just there to make fans go crazy and add to the scandal. And then at the end of the day, when SM brings the 5 back, not only will their profits rise but its image will improve as the slogan's go from " SM" to "OMG SM IS SO GOOD! THEY BROUGHT THEM BACK! THANKYOU!"
Im not saying that my view is whats actually going on but I think this is a different way of looking at the situation. Chances are that HoMin and JYJ are just fighting like little children and they let their fame get to them and have forgotten how important their friendship was and are now bickering over something as trivial as money. Either they need to grow up or Im gonna have to smack a ! ;@
As for the blog photo..Ive seen quite a few of these with that red line there. Whoever is making these needs to stop or Ima have to smack another . -.-
