What I do not understand.

I don't understand why people get so mad at this site. I mean, yes, there are stories and people on here that are dumb as hell, but not everyone is a good writer. I know people on here who have been on here for a while and still have not written anything because they're afraid that people won't like it. I think that people need to realize that not everyone has their ability when it comes to writing. 

 

When I first started on here (granted I only have one fanfic), I was scared of how people would react. I was thinking that people wouldn't like it, and I fought with myself for a long time before I actually posted anything. I don't have very many subscribers, but I don't think I need very many. I thank the people who read my story and like it and stick with it. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be writing at all. I don't think that a person needs thousands of subscribers, because then that "fame" goes to their heads, and they expect everyone to be as "amazing" as they are. It's just not right to me. 

 

This whole post is my opinion. If, by any chance, I have offended anyone reading this, Mianhe. I can't help it. I don't really speak up about a lot of things but this is one thing that I feel strongly about. If I ever feel strong about anything, I will post it, whether anyone on here likes it or not. Thanks to all who read this! :) <3

EXACTLY, WeirdA! I get happy when I get new subscribers, but there is no need to BEG for them! They will come. Has any of you seen Field of Dreams? If not, then this quote won't mean anything to you but, "If you build it, they will come."

When it comes to writing, that is my philosophy. If you write it, they will come. People love entertainment, and if you can entertain someone with your story, they are bound to tell their friends who will maybe tell their friends, and that's how it should be. You shouldn't have to beg in order to get readers. They should come to you...lol :) <3

I agree with what you say. Personally, when I see that my story has received new subscribers I won't lie, I get happy, but I never ask/beg for more.
If you have something to say, or a story/idea you want to share, then share it, that's what I say. :)

Amen :3 I don't even know why people get big-headed from their subscriber number, because it's not really a testament to quality. It's more a testament to how interested people are in their plotline, or how similar their thoughts/fantasies are to those of certain audiences. I don't know. Honestly I think people on AFF should be both gentler with the concrit and more accepting when they receive some :/

Improvement doesn't hurt anybody. It's what we all strive for.

Subscribers aren't anything of they just mindlessly follow you. I rather have 20 thinking ones than thousands who take a breath of air every time you update. ^^
