*WARNING! WARNING! MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS OF "A FROZEN FLOWER!"*

Can I just say that this movie made me cry?

Like really. I hardly ever cry over a movie or fic or novel or anything, really.

Except my parents yelling at me. That, as I've discovered, makes me curl in a ball and cry.

But back to the movie.

Okay, so what the happened here?!

*Walks off to do laundry*

*Comes back*

Okay, then.

Again, so what the even happened here?!

Here's what happens, love triangle-shape-thing style:

King is married to Queen.

Hong Lim, King's faithful attendant and servant since HL was a child, is King's lover.

King asks Queen to sleep with lover, a.k.a. Hong Lim, to produce the needed heir and save them from being taken over/oppressed/whatevs.

Hong Lim, now given his first chance to be with a woman, falls in love.

Queen loves him, and the two keep sleeping together behind King's back.

King is pissed that Hong Lim doesn't love him anymore.

Well, Hong Lim still cares for him, but it's not the same.

Anyways, King and Hong Lim are attacked and killed by King's followers and Hong Lim's subordinates.

Queen gets dragged away from the men she loves, probably to be written off as a crazy person.

King dies staring at Hong Lim with love in his eyes.

Hong Lim uses the last of his strength to look his dead King in the eyes, then dies himself.

Movie goes to a cute flashback and another one where King and Hong Lim were riding/hunting/whatevs.

Movie goes to old style painting that sort of faded in or whatever you call that effect from the riding/hunting/whatevs flashback.

Movie ends.

Like I said before - the just happened here.

But yeah, the movie was sad.

I highly recommend it.

Although if you're not comfortable with , skip over the scenes or just don't watch the movie, 'cuz they happen at least 4 or 5 times...

I also like "Antique Bakery," but that's totes different and the guys get each other in the end.

I just said "totes," which means it's official: my maknae has corrupted me with her mocking speech patterns.
