She has trained at Woolim for 5 years. When she was 13, she went on Star King and sang Fin.K.L's Forever Love. Woolim scouted her and she auditioned in the same year. She was naturally talented with the area of singing but not so much with dancing, that's why she had to work harder with her dance. She would practice dancing within her spare time and would dance kkap when people weren't looking. She was caught dancing kkap by the CEO and was given the persona of Kkap Angel for her personality. She had previously sung the back up vocals for songs such as Lies - T-ara and She's a Flirt - Baby Soul and Yoo Jia.

♣ABOUT YOU

{background} Jihye was born in Busan, Korea and lived there for 13 years of her life. For the 5 years she was training in Woolim, she moved to Seoul. She never actually had the dream of becoming an idol, singing was only a hobby that she had at the side of her actual dream of becoming a professional artist. Although her parents encouraged her to share her talent of singing by signing her up to join Star King. She thought that the experience would've been fun and decided to go through with it. She wasn't expecting anything to achieve anything from this but Woolim Ent scouted her a few days after she performed. Her parents were the ones who encouraged her to accept the offer but her older brother disagreed because he thought that she was too young to be and that the K-pop industry was dangerous. Jihye was persistant to change his mind and decided to sing him a song to show her talent and potential. He unwillingly allowed her after this. She set off from Busan to Seoul soon after this and has been training ever since. She has thought about giving up multiple times but her family kept her going strong. |

{personality} Jihye's personality is exactly like her persona. She first appears like an angel at first sight; beautiful, shy, angelic aura and a kind personality. But she is really Kkap behind the scenes (Kkap comes from the phrase 'kkab chi neun' which means you are so energetic that you are almost annoying). She's always energetic, even when all of the members are tired that it almost becomes annoying. She is always positive and thinks only of the good sides of things, that's why she sometimes gets hurt from the negative sides. Eg. She was dancing once and wanted to do a back-flip, she only thought about how cool it was and ended up going to hospital.
She is very kind to everyone as long as they return the kindness. She won't take any crap that people say about her parents and family. They are her biggest treasure and one that she is very proud of have. She is very playful, hardly ever serious, stubborn (sometimes she doesn't listen to the teacher), persistant, energetic, postive and slow (she takes ages to notice things). Overall, her personality is very simple, she is very blunt and obvious though she takes ages to notice things which are blunt and obvious.
