Oh My God, Wae So Ridiculous?

So I've been doing homework most of today, this way I'll be (for the most part) free to relax tomorrow on President's Day. Getting ready to go shopping with Umma and my brother for clothes we desperately need, I hop onto my page to see this from a friend:

"Hey, G, have you heard about the fanwar going on between BBCs and Hottests? 0.o"

...

What the balls bro.

Let me establish myself here. As intense of a BBC that I am, I am also a Hottest. So naturally I'm like WTF.

Jynx texted me to tell me the nature of the situation: Apparently Block B made some "insensitive" comments about flooding in Thailand and stuff and Nichkhun wasn't too pleased with it. And also apparently they said something about other hip hop idols being "ugly" in comparison.

Now, here's what I think. And this is purely a thought.

I think this is just one big hypocracy.

BBC's are high strung as it is about defending the boys. I admit, I'm slightly guilty. From the get-go, BBC's will find absolutely ANYTHING that someone says about the boys and immediately makes it an issue of pride. Their performance time was cut? It's an injustice! Park Kyung doesn't bow? He's a rebel! Zico says "No homo?" He's straight!

Face it. I'm a BBC more than anything else, but not everything they do is proper or right. Like yes, Zico didn't mean harm by his "no homo" comment, but it wasn't politically correct. Kyung jokingly doesn't bow. Obviously they love to joke, so anything they say in front of a camera shouldn't be taken completely to heart. Yes, they might have laughed about an issue that isn't funny at all, but that's how they handle it. I have a nervous laugh. My mother was being taken to the hospital once and I laughed my off at the time. About an hour later I was bawling because I knew I couldn't help it.

So they said something a little insensitive and rude towards other idols. They're humans. I don't think they're the only ones who said something uncalled for when an issue's at hand. People say things that come out wrong daily, so don't you think these 7 can be cut a break? And that "ugly" comment...they call themselves ugly all the time. They joke about not being the typical idol group where they're all "pretty".

Get over yourselves and up the fact that they're going to say the wrong things, even if they don't intend to.

And Hottests. You're just as bad. I guarantee you most fans of 2PM wouldn't give a flying about the flooding in Thailand if not for Nichkhun...except for the fans who live there. Granted, it's a horrible thing (to be honest, I just heard about it today because of this ongoing fanwar), but most people don't really pay it recognition because it isn't directly affecting them.

It's true. People are selfish and live for how they feel. People starving in Africa? Oh well, honey, I'm making pot roast for dinner. Young Chinese kids making shoes? Eh, as long as they're decent quality.

...See what I mean? If they're physically okay, what difference does it make how others feel?

I can understand why Nichkhun would be a little less than pleased with Block B's attitude towards it. But he and Hottests alike need to realize that people handle issues differently. Again, my mother. Hell, my grandfather died and it took me a month before I shed a single tear for him.

Both sides are in the wrong here. BBC's and Hottests both need to calm themselves down and think rationally. Ha. Fans. Thinking rationally. Thinking.

But seriously. I'm a BBC and a Hottest. While I'm slightly bothered by their comments, they're people too. We're all fallable and subject to mistakes. The fact that they're idols only heightens this ridiculous situation. Let them handle the issue themselves and don't add fuel to the fire by starting fanwars.

It's bad enough that the boys said something they shouldn't have. You don't have to take sides and add to their stress factor.

As an avid Block B fan, I would like to sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by what they said or their actions. I just watched the video. Personally, I have no further comment on what they said. I don't want to be that guy to say something that'll offend anyone. But I guess I wasn't completely offended. Upset, yes. But I just don't see what the big hype is all about.

But they all apologized for their ignorance and such. There's no need to keep dragging this out.

So once again, I really, deeply apologize for what was said. Yeah, I get that me apologizing won't go very far, but it's the least I can do as a full supporter of both Block B and 2PM.

I have no idea what BBC and Hottest means I'm guessing Hottest are fans of the group HOTT? ^^; But it's kind of like with SONe's and ELF's. Some SONE's can be pretty y and rude to ELF's and some ELF's can be the same to SONE's. Sure I like SNSD a little bit more than Super Junior, but I would never bash SuJu or SuJu's fans. Fanwars are pointless, and just aren't fun anymore are they? People take K-Pop WAY too seriously sometimes O__O I'm a Cassie, SONE and Pink Panda (It's what APink fans are called I guess XP), but I respect other groups even though I don't care for them.

It's the issue of being in a fandom. As much I would love to say I'm a VIP and other groups in reality, when hits the ing fan hard I'll support the BIGBANG boys when a group "harasses" them. Truth is we're only dedicated to one fandom only. We can't be called as a VIP and a Hottest and a Blackjack and a SONE and whatnot. We are one fandom and just mere fans/supporters of others.

...I wonder if I made sense. XD
